Hello Friends (tour guide) Elizabeth here Thank you Natasha so much for giving opportunity to present my city was pleasure to do it with you😊I hope all of you enjoy video 😊and I do not have UA-cam channel but after your warm comments I might consider it ♥️
The E.U. has high environmental standards and also puts its money towards reducing environmental problems. Georgia's becoming a member of the E.U. may get funding to improve the air cleanliness and the water availability. I wonder how much the livelihoods of the people of Rustavi are tied to the polluting industries which employ the people. One needs to find some other less polluting businesses to support people's livelihoods before shutting down polluting industries. Another thing is that these polluting industries may use much water which causes the sporadic water supply shortage.
Nur zu! Go ahead with your own channel. You seem to be full of good humour and at the same time much to reflect about cultural and social problems, so yes: I would subscribe to your channel!
That was a great video! The "local quide" was charismatic and seems really smart and friendly!! Honestly it was a pleasure listening to her guiding us around :)
Definitely, her english is good, she knows what she's talking about. I would definitely subscribe. very interesting young lady, we have several russian you-tubers, but none from Georgia--it would be refreshing,
Natasha, I watched all of your videos from the very beginning, I like that they get more and more thoughtful. But this video got a new drive by its dialogue form. This made it more vivid, lively. So much the more with a smart partner as Elizabeth. I think you should try this more often!
The abandoned factory in Rustavi reminded me of when you used to show us similar sites in Spassk. You have a gift for finding beauty in the most improbable places, Natasha! 😊
Great video. Elizabeth should have her own channel as well. She is very personable and knowledgeable as well as intelligent. As always the channel never disappoints.
Your sense of humor is wonderful. You kept the part of the video where you walked into a plexi-glass hood and almost hit your head on a sign near the bridge. Made me smile. This video was sort of like your earliest videos from Spassk and Khabarovsk, only you had a friend with you.
this was a GREAT video. Eli's input about her city and country, particularly with context of having lived outside georgia too, really made the video for me.
I was cheering for Georgia during the UEFA Euro 2024! I sincerely hope that the young generation of Georgians will choose to join us in the West and come help us build a better Europe. Our systems are far from perfect and we could use your passion and energy to help improve them as well as our relations to other parts of the world. As I have learned more about the Georgian people and their history, I see very strong synergies between Georgia, the EU, and the United States. Thanks, Natasha, for all the valuable insights you are providing. Btw., I lived the first 20 years of my life in Denmark and have spent the past 30 in the USA.
Georgians chose that route millennia ago. It is you, the self-proclaimed "WEST," who refuse to accept us. Previously, it was because we were Orthodox Christians rather than Catholics; now, it is because we are old-fashioned, poor, and unwilling to sacrifice our lives for the geopolitical goals of the "WEST."

Sometimes for three days straight. In the summer! We do not have water!” Thank you for this informative and entertaining video Natasha. Your guest was informative and charismatic. Great content!
Love your videos, Natasha! I've lived in many parts of the world but never in Eastern Europe or Central Asia. I learn so much from your efforts and they are fun to watch, too. Thank you!
Rustavi is a meme in Georgia, however, I live in a center of Tbilisi and I think that many young people from Rustavi are often much better educated and harder working than people from Tbilisi's Vake or Vera districts (center). Which kinda makes me respect them more.
This was lovely and educational. Thanks Natasha and also your friendly guide Elisabeth. I knew nothing of Rustavi until your video. You showing us new places but also including some history is something I've always loved about your videos, Natasha. And as always - I love seeing you focus in on local animals that you come across during your walks. Be well.
I would never have known a thing about this town if you hadn't made this video. If you trust Wikipedia, they have a lengthy article regarding the early and modern history of Rustavi.
23:36 We had a type of "labor class" in US schools, it was called "shop" class for woodworking or learning auto mechanics, or "Home-Ec" (short for home economics) for sewing and cooking, which my mom actually got her college degree in. They are all open to all genders. I was required to learn to sew and cook as a young man. Having a mother who was a professional seamstress her adult life helped me know how to run a sewing machine. As a married father, I've made our custom window drapes, fixed clothes, made pillow covers, etc. It's a fun skill to know. I even taught my wife and daughter how to use their sewing machines. Then I go to work on electronic airport systems and come home and work on my car. Haha
I lived in Rustavi for a year and I must say that it is my favourite place in the entire Georgia. It is very quiet and comfortable city, my neighbours were some of the best people I've ever met and the relationships that we had (and still have! I'm still in contact with them) were some of the warmest in my life. And it is very very beautiful in the Old Rustavi district, especially the streets behind the central square (the one where the tax office is). It reminds me of something like Budapest (in the best possible way). And not gonna lie living in Rustavi is WAY more affordable than in any other city I've lived in my life. If there are any Rustavi locals here or Georigans, I want to say that I thank you for every moment I've spent in your wonderful country and in this cozy city particularly. Thank you for your hospitality, thank you for being such awesome people and good luck with the European integration, I hope you win this battle with the GD. მადლობა! საქართველოს გაუმარჯოს!
What a charming friend you have made! Thank Eli for us, this has been a very interesting and informative video. I'd never heard of Rustavi before, but it looks to be an interesting city worth a visit. Bravo to you both!!
Thanks Natasha. Very interesting and amusing. It is very nice that a local Georgian woman met up with you and showed you around (thank you Elizabeth). I am surprised that Elizabeth does not have her own YT channel already as she seemed a very polished presenter and has the useful perspective from living in Berlin. I rather like the colourful buildings but maybe close up the execution does not look so good. The mosaics looked nice, especially the metalwork one, even if they were Soviet. If they were made by local people, then that is another reason to keep them. The ruined factory was very cool. And it's understandable that children are interested in the Georgian football team - they did very well in the European championships. It's a sport for anyone, women as much as men. The England women's team gets very wide support and interest here. It was interesting that Natasha was surprised about what Elizabeth said about family life in Berlin, as that sounded normal to me (from a UK perspective). When I was at school in the 1980s in the UK, boys and girls did all classes together (including practical and technical subjects) except some sports.
Great Tour Nat & Eli of Rustavi. Good that you have a new a new Georgian friend too! Thanks for the interesting history & architecture information as well .... 🙂👏✌
In 1990 I stayed a couple of nights in Rustavi in one of those six story Brezhnev era apartments, with an extension out onto the balcony, where we drank home made compote and hard spirits. I was certain that the overbuilt balconies would collapse at any moment. It's nice to see those balconies proved me wrong! We even took the crowded Marshrutka to Tblisi and visited a stylish building nicknamed 'Brezhnev's Ears'. I imagine my generous hosts still toasting foreign visitors until early in the morning. So much has changed for the better, but It's hard not to wish that somethings never change. Thanks for sharing your city and your appreciation of its architectural heritage!
Natasha, Loved the video! I started watching you back when you had less than 1000 subscribers. I really enjoyed learning about different cultures and seeing how things are the same yet unique! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for another very interesting video, Natasha. It was a pleasure to meet Elizabeth, and to be shown around a Georgian city about which I knew nothing previously. 👍
Wow………Rustavi has its very own Louvre, Pisa AND Eiffel Tower! 🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳🥳🤣😂🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻What a great sense of humor your tour guide Elizabeth has! Am so glad you had a meet up with her Natasha, another like minded person you now get to hang out with! Great video today👍🏻👍🏻 Berlin is a GREAT city!! I hope you get to visit it one day. Cheers, 💕🇺🇸
Yes, a new vid, I love Natasha and can't wait for the next videos!!!!!!!!!!! I love how you did it with your friend, and the city seems pretty cool, I love the Mosaics the most.
Great video Natasha, you and Elizabeth were great tour guides. It was refreshing to not only get "official" history, but also local people's opinions on that history. Maybe the two of you could do more videos around the country where Elizabeth explains what these places mean to Georgians, while you Natasha explain how outsiders see these same places. (It would be interesting if Elizabeth came up to Tbilisi and shared her opinions of the capital from the perspective of someone who lives outside it.) Anyway I hope both of you continue to do well as you pursue your goals. Never give up.
What a lovely idea, Elizabeth! You are like a breath of fresh air, sharing a tour of your lovely city. Rather than your own UA-cam Channel, why not pair off with Natasha from time to time. You could even visit her in Georgia occasionally. Anyway, how nice to have you along with Natasha . . . a wonderful pair! -Carey from Michigan
I love it! Thank you both for that! Educated, entertained, and charmed while just sitting on my couch. Elizabeth's enthusiasm is charismatic, and she is a wonderful guest star.

You were a natural in front of the camera.
Yayy, you go girl 🥳🥳 And thank you very much for inviting me. I learned so much, and I think this gives so much perspective into life in Georgia!!
Your face somehow reminded me of some ancient Greek sculptures.

I think this Georgian girl should start her own channel ❤
She should run for local government office (if that's a thing there)! xD seriously knowledgable about her area!

So nice to be able to connect with local subscribers in this way! I think it helps you make new friends in a foreign country too
