Good mod, neat pump. Back in the day I ran a 97 with no pump and no issues but always on the flat in town. Different situation. I have to say that the curly lines make me a little dizzy LOL.
This one runs decent on the flats, but will still starve if you really push it. Im talking flat out. If I'm nice to it, it's no problem. It's a pretty hot for a 4 banger, so she likes to drink!
You no longer have the shut off valve under the dash , Matt ? I just bought an Auto Pulse pump on eBay just now.... looks complete. I'll bring it by for you to check out, if I may. Was planning to come by for church today, but I just discovered I'm out of Sunday sauce, so I'm cooking today. 🍝 I still want the B block... need to have it bored and fitted for inserts before the Big Kahuna retires.
@@Seattle_Speed_Shop That must mean dad's 31 was an early....he told me the inside shut off was great for faking an engine problem.... when you're hoping to get lucky. Like..."Sorry Sally.... I think the condenser just burned out"...
Interesting project, thank you. Personally if it makes a vintage vehicle more reliable you’re going to use it more often and that’s the whole object of ownership so I’m with you👍(and it’s not like fitting an LS motor ; )
On a ‘29-‘30, where the fuel outlet is inside the car, could the pump be mounted inside the firewall, so that there would be less plumbing under the hood?
do u actually need the fuel line coils on both sides of the pump? Im running a Facet Posi-Flo electric pump (1.5-4psi) popular with dune buggy crowd with a coil in the line from filter to pump then straight into a fuel block in the firewall (future dual carbs) and then into the single 97 carb with no flow issues. not period but about 1/3 the size of the Auto Pulse.
I like the fuel lines, kind of looks like you might have a whiskey still under the hood, no, it really looks good. Good video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks!

Matt,
Very interesting video my question is where do you buy rebuilding kits for the fuel pump?
Enjoy watching your channel
There are several companies servicing them last time I checked. But the names escape me.
great EP man! sucks about trans but sounded way stronger!
Thanks, We'll fix it!
@@Seattle_Speed_Shop looking forward to see that EP
Interested in selling the 29 coupe?
Is the Auto pulse positive ground or doesn't that come into play? What is a decent price for one?

Late 31 has it on the engine compartment.

Great point! Regardless of fuel pump status, this vehicle is in no danger of not being used! Hahaha
The line definitely flattens out above the manifold en route from pump to carb

Yes, I did this on my dad's car. Pump and regulator are mounted inside.
Yep, seen it done that way many times.
I'm still wondering about the 29 coupe, for sale?
Doubtful. It's not mine. I'll mention it to him
A few more little bugs to work out…possibly for sale in a few months!
Let me know when you have that first batch of white lightning brewed. Definitely high octane! 😎⚡☠️⚡
Great did not know that

I'm not sure I do. Though model A's are definitely flexible.
I don’t think you’d need flex tubing if you weren’t using copper.
It's Nicopp. Pretty strong and flexible stuff.
Did you look at those coupes in Woolley yet ? Probably want more than you like to pay.....the one is $6995.00
