They all looked good BUT…that number 3 meal: chicken Alfredo on the Garlic loaf was the BOMB. Barbara.
Great hack - put a warm rotissere chicken in a gallon size bag - close it up and knead the chicken - the meat falls off the bone......a lot less mess! :)
I’ll try that next time!
Thank you for that tip. Will try
I saw that on UA-cam today. Too cool.
Love it!!
Thank you for sharing this tip!
We do not eat out. Every time I add up what it would cost I freak. I can cook for a week on 1 night out. We save that for special occasions. I have made so many of your recipes on a budget. Yep. All good. There are only 3 of us and we are not afraid to eat leftovers or repurpose leftovers to make it different.
I love pizza, but I refuse to pay the price for a large pizza! I learn how to make a pizza sauce, that I absolutely love, and I keep cheese on hand, and my bread machine makes the dough for me! And I actually like it better than restaurant pizza❤❤❤😊
Very good recipes. ❤️😁🥰
im the same way i rarely eat out... i think about it like this,,, i could have bought 40 pounds of hamburger for this one meal
That's my favorite thing about fast foods apps. I think I want fast food until I see that total. It really motivates me to just cook. 😂
McDonald's cost what a good dinner out used to be.😢by by restaurants 😢
When we get a $5 rotisserie chicken at Costco, I take the leftover skin and bones, cook it in a pot of water for an hour or two.......for bone broth
Two tips for you to try. 1. When using a bag salad mix sprinkle it with a little salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. It makes it taste just like fancy restaurant salads. Adding the toppers you did is a big plus too. 2. Put your whole warm rotisserie chicken in a large zip lock bag and then gentle squeeze or massage it. The meat comes right off the bones entirely. It’s the best tip I ever learned. I enjoy your quick meals segments.
You are a meal savings savant, Brooke! I thank you for saving us all $$$ on food. I do my $5 weekly pantry and it's huge now. All of this with a heart of joy, kindness and a fine example of a servant giving to others. You are a gift to so many and we are grateful and love you. Be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
Everything looks amazing!
I currently have a bag of the great value frozen homemade meatballs in the crockpot. I added 2 brown gravy packets, 2 cans of beef broth, minced onion, & some seasonings and will cook on high for about 4 hours. Once done, I'm just doing some instant potatoes & that's dinner 😂 it's a Monday.
Sounds so good! You’re making me want some!
I'm definitely going to try it
@mjoverocker6072 it was pretty good!! If you want the gravy thicker add a little corn starch slurry to it and it'll thicken the gravy!
I did that and added sour cream and some rice handfuls and paprika, pepper onions & splash of steaksauce/ketchup had it with noodles, it was cozy & perfect!
It use to cost my husband and I $20-$30 when we go out. It was always the same thing. We thought for our anniversary this year would go out since it’s been a long time. It was more than double the costs. When they gave us the final cost and it was over $60 my heart fell though the floor.
Love these easy meals👍❤😊 Why go out and spend hard earned money on over-priced food when you can make something that taste's way better at home ? Right ! I'm always on the lookout for something new . ~ Thanks for sharing this with us ~!!! ❤
I love that idea of Alfredo chicken on the garlic bread! Definitely going to try that for my family one night!❤
it is just the 2 of us but we seldom eat out .... "Honey, you can cook better than those restaurant cooks anyday."
For our family of 7 even Taco Bell is too expensive for us too! Thanks for these lazy meal ideas!
You’re welcome!!
I’m going in and try the Alfredo pizza recipe right now. Thanks for sharing with us uncreative people, for which I am one.
Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
The Alfredo chicken garlic bread looks so goooood!
I love your crockpot AND your easy dinners, because I am disabled, and I can't stand up for a long time to cook fancy stuff!
Great idea. Have a Tomato, and Cucumber sliced up and they can add them to their salads.
YUMMY LIKE ALL YOUR VIDEOS YOUR A GOOD MOM AND WIFE MAKING SURE YOUR FAMILY IS FED AND TRYING TO SAVE MONEY
I absolutely love these ideas and oh my gosh the boys reactions!!! Kylen is so precious. Breydon always enjoys his meals so much ,I believe he could convince me to eat a shoe . Ryder for absolute sure tells it like he sees it or tastes it rather so I know if he says it's delicious then it is. I am definitely going to make the taco bell copycat meal. I crave that food all the time but refuse to pay the prices for it now. I remember when tacos were like 35 cents lol
If Kylen faints, I have to try the recipe.
Thanks, girl for uploading a video. I was having a rough day and u came to the rescue with your bubbliness. You cheered me up.
I’m sorry you’re having a rough day!!!
@@SouthernFrugalMomma We went to Subway last night and I live in Kentucky we got 4 ft long and it was 52.00 I won't be eating out for the next year because of that LOL
Everything looked delicious! Good ideas, Brooke! 🌻💛
As always you knocked it out of the park. Thanks.
Now I know what I’m going to do with the other half of my rotisserie chicken! Pizza bread. Love your videos!
I want to try all three of these soon!
Tonight, I'm making Cincinnati Chili. Chili leftover from last night and spaghetti mixed in tonight. Both quick and easy meals.
Love the Garlic bread pizza with the Alfredo and chicken. 😊
I like my salad with cranberry and walnuts also . It's really good with Raspberry Vinegaret dressing. Yummy .
I forgot about that dressing existing til now! I used to love it!! I need some now!
That's been my favorite salad for over a year now.
Wow 6 thousand views in 4 hrs!!!who's famous 😅. Good job
🎉🎉
I want to make that now but put a can of green chilli's in the taco bell queso
Love sliders, hamburger, meatball, ham and cheese. Salad with them is perfect.
Every time I go to Sam's Club, I get two of their 4.99 rotisserie chickens. One for dinner that night and one to debone. And save the bones for my veggie and bone freezer bags for broth. Such a time and money saver!
I just started watching you and your family is so darn cute! Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. In this messed up economy, I need them!
love the alfredo garlic bread pizza idea. i will try it!
If you have a juicy pre-sliced fruit that nobody's eating in the house (which ends up drying out a bit on the table), you can blend/dice it up to make as a marinade/sauce for anything. It's not unheard of, since pineapple is known as a meat tenderizer (common paring of ham and pineapple in dishes). I know a few Korean dishes that calls for Asian apple/pear for their grilled bbq beef slices for stove-top cooking. Or, orange juice plus lemon juice as part of marinade for Mexican fajitas.
Wow Brooke - my day wasn't starting out so great but I knew you'd cheer me up - and you did! Love your family❤
You guys should try chicken Alfredo baked potatoes I tho them in the crockpot and then when I get home I throw tho everything together I think you guys would like that we made a tradition every Halloween we do a new baked potato so far everyone is love the taco one the pizza one was good and Alfredo and the birria one
Great ideas!
Got a couple good ideas here to send to my daughter. TY
perfect! i will be making the quesadilias this week and the pizza ones in the near future.
Next level on the Taco Bell. Grilled onions!
Put some parmesan in with that tops the pizza sliders!!! OMG!!!
Looks so yummy!
Congratulations on your success! Definitely well deserved. Brook your awesome! 🎊 🎉 💥 ☀️
Great fast recipes Brooke and I agree the rotisserie chickens at the stores are delicious and well worth the money !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
Rotisserie chicken = cooked, not frozen, ready to use just may need to warm. That's easy!!!👍
This snowy weather has made me feel lazy and don't want to cook 😩. Thank you for sharing cousin Brooke 🙂 🙏 ❤
Thank you Brooke! All three of these looks yummy. I am going to try these. My hubby is out in semi a lot and this will be some good tries for us. Just him and I so yum. I LOVE watching you and your family. God bless!
Hey Bestie!! Love lazy dinners!
Your family is so sweet!
Great easy meals love the Alfredo chicken pizza
I love the ideas that you come up with. Economical and hits the spot. 👌
At one point we had 4 teenagers in the house, and my hubby and I..If I made something like this, the kids would've loved it,I just would need to make it X5 the quantity to feed them all,and my salads had to be 6X the amount.I gave each kid a task, and dinner was on in 30 minutes..❤❤❤❤❤Love the ideas Brooke!
I cook my flour tortillas in butter for better crispness and flavor
You can always put left over sauce in a mason jar 😊
I love rotisserie chicken especially from Sam’s. I’ve been known to pick up 2-3 and eat 1/2 of one before I leave the parking lot! Lol
Wow Brooke! Love all these easy meals! Thanks for great videos! ❤❤
i save my sauces in storage bags in the freezer. when im ready to use it, i dont let it thaw i just cut the bag and drop in the pan im using or bowl if i heat in microwave. ive found that if i let it thaw half the sauce sticks to bag and is wasted.
Love ya too and you always make me smile what a great channel ❤
Thanks! So happy I found your channel! Your dinners are super easy and economical! Have made several so far and plan on making these also.
I bought these little can lids for my cat food cans at Walmart and they work just as well for cans of sauces and veggies that we don't use all of but I also save jars for things too
Yum! We love roasted chicken sandwiches too.
They all look great 😊
You have Clara’s cook book. I love her recipes ❤ That meal looks delicious
All these look great and I definitely plan on giving them a try soon. So much mileage out of a precooked whole chicken from the grocery store, and very easy to shred!
Thanks for more great ideas! 💕
These are just what I need right now.
Iffy jars are discarded. What to do with the strained chicken and vegetables? I pick the chicken and salvage the vegetables I may cut smaller but why waste it? Then I put in zip lock bags and make soup or freeze. This is not salted so you can now add your bouillon and water and controll your sodium. I use the stock that I made for anything you would use chicken broth for. It adds a lot of flavor.
Everything looked delicious - thanks for the ideas. Maybe put a little butter in the pan when making your quesadillas. It really helps the tortillas crisp up and taste yummy. I saw them do this at a local restaurant.
Yes I butter both sides and they are so yummy that way:):).
hey friend I love channel
I call these easy button meals. We don’t eat out very much, even though it is just me and hubs now.
Brooke, plzzzzz do more campfire meals. Campfire meals segment plzzzzz!!!!!
My son eats that entire loaf of garlic bread without heating it up. It's that good.
Your so funny, by the way the stuff on the bread for your Alfredo chicken it’s garlic and butter. Just a suggestion maybe next time toast it a little first before putting everything on : ) love watching you and your beautiful family
It has gotten very expensive to eat out! We usually get Burger King coupons in the mail & go out to eat there.
I only go to BK when we have coupons. Otherwise, they are super expensive.
I make big batches of quesadillas and put wax paper between then and freeze them. I fry them or put in the air fryer on busy days
Each of my kids would eat a loaf of the chicken Alfredo bread, and my hubby and I would split a half..each kid ate the equivalent of your whole family salad..d/t football and kayaking,etc..they ate like termites...
Good afternoon and blessings 💞🙏🏾
Awesome video, thanks. The boys are growing so fast 👍❤️👍❤️
Hey Brooke, did you know at WalMart's bakery they have the sweet hawaiian rolls in a 16 oz pack? They're $3.24 a pack.
Dei Fratelli is my favorite too!! All of their stuff is amazing!!
Oh my your children are awesome.
Yummy. Love your videos. Can y'all PLZ pray for my husband he's had a stroke for that and our financial situation. Thank you in advance. Thank you for your videos
If I could eat the pizza sliders… I would bake up the pepperoni and make it have a slight crunch. Then put the bread top bake on the bake a few.
You can take the extra pizza sauce and put it in a 4oz jar and can it
I've been noticing the rotisserie chickens are cheaper too and that's what I've been buying as well.
It makes no sense to me why they are cheaper, but hey I’ll take it! 😂
Costco or Sam's club 5.00 for a whole cook chicken can't beat that with a stick
@@SouthernFrugalMomma right! Lol
@@Victoria-nt9tk I need to make a trip to Sams then!
Throw some bacon on that pizza for bacon, chicken, ranch….umm umm good!! That’s how we like it.
Thanks for the ideas on this one! Will you please share a video of using the chicken carcass to make broth?
Have to sub to support this southern mama…
Love everything about videos. Thanks
I recently discovered from a TikTok video that you can simply crush a gallon zip-loc bag after placing the entire rotiserrie chicken inside of it. Next, you crack open and remove the bones!
Yummy!❤
Great ideas and video.
Yummy!
Magic number for my stove is 350
One thing I will not do is fight with kids about food. I'll serve it but that's it.
Nice job!
Riders like my 16 year daughter she loves broccoli
WOW
That will be so good😊
Thank you so much. Love your channel.
It's expensive to even eat at Taco Bell, McD, etc for even 1 person. Unless you get 1 thing and no drink.
I'm at 6:57 and you have totally blown my mind, Brooke!
A rotisserie chicken cheaper than a whole uncooked chicken!
Will hold me back and house me down!
Here in Australia a rotisserie chicken costs $12.00 and is - on average - only 2kg in weight! That's $6/kg or roughly $2.73/lb...
On the other hand...
A whole roasting chicken is only $4.50/kg...
WWAAAYYYY better value!
I find it so interesting how different countries price and subsidise certain foods!
We have to pay tax on prepared food but not on raw ingredients! So we have to pay a 10% tax on the rotisserie chicken but no tax on the whole unprepared roasting chook! (Having said THAT... Or prices are tax-inclusive, so you never have to guess when you get to the checkout)!
That is so amazing, the difference. Here the cooked whole chicken is $6.98, and if we shop at Costco, it's just $5. A raw uncooked chicken is usually $10+.
@@SouthernFrugalMomma woah! I cannot believe it's double! (I mean, I actually believe you - I'm not accusing you if lying... It's a figure if speech!)
🫢🤦🤣
@@SouthernFrugalMomma you've got me thinking about trying to do a cost comparison!
That would make for a great video... Budget foods from around the world and how they differ!
Select, say, 10 frugal ingredients... Then compare the first if this same ingredients across continents/countries!
And then, maybe, what the locals would substitute instead if the more "expensive" ingredient.
🫢❤️
I want that pizza right now!😋😋😋😅❤
❤❤❤❤❤
