TVS motorcycles company has to launch 6 Gears TVS Ronin to compete with Hero Mavrick 440 and other motorcycles with 6 Gears in the market. If 6 Gears will be upgraded to TVS Ronin the Neutral issue will be solved automatically
Easy direct shifting from 1st to 2nd gear or 2nd to 1st gear is more important than easy finding neutral gear. For example we ride uphill on very steep road with pillion on 2nd gear and need immediate shift to 1st gear.
Thanks Good Review. I have bought TVS Ronin 1 year ago (mid variant) in Susheel TVS, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. Overall bike is good however spares not available which is the only issue.

For me, going to Neutral always works with a light foot from 2nd gear. From 1st gear, i never made it to neutral, it always goes to 2nd, then from 2nd, i can easily get neutral.
I agree with you. In the beginning, it was quite difficult and frustrating to find the neutral gear. Then, as I got used to Ronin, I observed that with a light foot, as u have said, it works from the second gear. Although, these days, I am able to move to neutral from the first gear quite often.
Thankyou for the ownership review. One question, does it have any vibrations at any rpms, specifically in handle bar and footpegs like the apache old model 2V? Second, the one pillion you mentioned who was not comfortable while riding, how tall was he, was he a big person for his height? Whats the service charge just for oil change and chain lubing and tightening at tvs service centre?
Hi, thank you for watching. After 90 kmph (around 6800 RPM), there can be slight vibration in the footpegs. No vibration in the handlebar. I have not ridden the Apache, so won't be able to answer about it. The pillion rider was around my same height: 5 feet 4 inches. Yes, he was a heavy person for his height (around 85 kgs). Recently an elderly person (around 68 years) sat on my Ronin as a pillion for about 30 minutes, and seemed somewhat uncomfortable. I did the first service (in which five things were done, including oil change and chain lubing) and the cost came to about Rs. 1650.
Hello sir i have a budget around 2.5 lakh suggest me a bike for pillion specially for old age like mom dad for long travel and me confused with ronin or any other bike
My friend, in the given scenario, I would rather suggest that you go for a car. Motorcycles are comparatively riskier than cars. Since you have mentioned that you want to travel long distance with pillion who is going to be your elderly mom or dad, the emphasis should be their safety above everything else. You can go for a small car like a Punch or Tiago, but if that seems expensive, you can still go for something like an Alto 800 or a Renault Kwid. If a new car seems too expensive at the moment, check some second hand cars.
Bhai i have the budget of Ronin but i have heard many issues are there in ronin after a year. So should i go for Ronin or unicorn 160? Purpose daily city ride 30 kms and short rides Comfort, seating comfort is more important than design looks
Bhai, since u have mentioned that design is not so important for u, I think u can simply go with Unicorn because it's a tried and tested motorcycle. But, do remember that it has a 160CC engine, so, while for a shorter distance and daily commute it's a great motorcycle, however, you may feel the shortage of power on a longer ride, or while riding in the hills. I have a colleague who has recently bought a Unicorn and he is very happy with it. It provides amazing mileage, and for a shorter distance its seat is also comfortable. Ronin is a unique, well designed, and solidly built motorcycle that stands in its own right. I suggest that u do a test ride of both and see what seems better to u.
Brother I wasn't fond of this bike ever since it launched but last week went to tvs showroom to look for a comfortable bike for my father , ronin caught my eye like it was calling me with its charming looks I realized photos dont do justice to this bike , went for test ride and it was such a great experience , super smooth engine , light wieght ,plenty of torque. Perfect bike for father even he agrees , just had one question does this bike have any major problem ? One can live with small problems but can't live with major problem just wanted your views on the bike's reliability. Hopefully you can clear some doubts
You have encapsulated very well what many people think about Ronin. Apart from what you have stated, I would highly recommend Ronin for its solid build quality. I have had a few falls from Ronin, but none of its parts suffered any damage. The only issue (which sometimes happens, and sometimes, doesn't), as I have mentioned in the video, is finding the neutral gear. But one gets used to it and one realises that with a light press from the second gear, the neutral gear is often found. Having said that, I would suggest that you do a thorough check of the motorcycle before buying it. Check for rusting issues on the brake disks.

The suspension is quite good and the seat is comfortable for the rider. It can go through bad roads without any problem. Longer rides are also easy and comfortable, but after about 100 kms, you may need to rest a little. Do a test ride to see how suitable it is for you.

I am not sure what is the reason for other's negative reviews (I am aware that some people don't like the appearance of Ronin, which is a subjective matter). Honda CBR 350 seems to be a good bike, but its price is quite on the higher side in comparison to Ronin (of course, you also get a 350 CC engine). I personally prefer Ronin.

Above 100, one would also experience wind blast to a great extent. So, I prefer to ride between 70 to 90. And, you are right, as an overall package , Ronin is a good deal. Hi, thank you for watching! The pickup is quite good. My top speed, I think, was about 110 kmph with pillion. After that, there is a lot of wind blast.
I am sure you are aware that mileage depends on quite a number of factors. Some people have got mileage of close to 80 kmpl (check the review by Real Auto Reviews).
Hello! I am 5 feet and 4 inches tall. Getting the neutral gear at once is a little difficult, but one gets used to it. Other than that, Ronin is a wonderful motorcycle.
Nice review. You have fallen twice from Ronin...it means balance of the vehicle may be less. You have not mentioned the power of engine, digital meter details and light capability when bike is running over 100kmph.....😊
Hello, thank you for watching the video! I fell twice by the time I made this video, and it's been a few months after the video, so I fell a few more times still. No, the balance is fine, the fault lies in my riding and sometimes in the terrain. At the time of making the video, I mentioned whatever came to my mind. But, I do see your point, because those are important details. The engine is powerful for its class. I have ridden through uphills and downhills without any issues. I rode it for 130 km without rest, and yet there was no heating issue. The bike has good traction control and one feels confident on it. The digital interface is clear and not very busy and you have the necessary details clearly displayed. I have the top model, so I have Bluetooth connectivity and turn by turn navigation as well. But I hardly use these features as I find them a distraction.
@@pradeepswain185 Hi, by 'light' I hope you mean the light in the night. At night, I try not to ride above 80 kmph, and the light seems just fine. I get about 43 kmpl.

Hi, No, it wasn't false neutral, but it was my own mistake. I was going up the hill, but I was riding in the 3rd gear. I should have shifted to either the 2nd gear or the first gear.
This bike picks up from 15 kmph even in 3rd gear, just need to push the throttle a little bit more The tractibility of this bike is really good, better than hunter and highness It will pick up even from 30 kmph in 5th gear
Aree Judge saheb, the fall wasn't for views. There are various other methods of getting views than to harm oneself or ones loved one. It was a steep ascent and I was in the 3rd gear while the speed was slow. There were others as well who found going through that terrain difficult. At 7:46 in the video, you will see a rider in the scooter. That rider had also almost fallen down and then stopped after getting up. There was another person in a Swift Dzire who was unable to move up, then a driver from another vehicle helped him.

@RoamwithRamu Bro what about light focus after 90/100speed and mileage? I heard tvs mechanics are not well trained for Ronin....is this true?
@@pradeepswain185 Hi, by 'light' I hope you mean the light in the night. At night, I try not to ride above 80 kmph, and the light seems just fine.
I get about 43 kmpl.
@@RoamwithRamu Thank you 🙏
Ronin is beautiful.
Indeed.
07.20…”.nothing happened to me or to ronin”…..your wife would torture you if she heard this😂
She has already done so. 😄 But ever since this video, I have uploaded more videos where I have been very careful, so my wife has gone a little easy on me. 😅
At around 7:05, you say "Nothing happened to me or to Ronin" when there was a pillion rider too ! .
Typical bike loving man. same like me.
And the pillion rider happened to be my wife! 😀 I actually forgot to mention about her, however, she has now seen this comment and is complaining (in a lighthearted manner) about how careless I can be.
@@RoamwithRamu😂
best
what happened why You fall? false gear shifting
I mean false netural
Hi,
No, it wasn't false neutral, but it was my own mistake. I was going up the hill, but I was riding in the 3rd gear. I should have shifted to either the 2nd gear or the first gear.
This bike picks up from 15 kmph even in 3rd gear, just need to push the throttle a little bit more
The tractibility of this bike is really good, better than hunter and highness
It will pick up even from 30 kmph in 5th gear
Video is useful. But do not ride on the wrong side of the road.
Thank you for watching the video! That's actually a street leading to the Jio Institute which is used mostly for jogging.
Itna kyon gortha hai bhai, gaadi ka issue hai kya
'Gortha hai' matlab samjha nhi main.
Its not a good looking bike.
Okay. Everyone has a different perspective.
Nothing happened to you and Ronin? And what about your wife 🤣
And, nothing happened to her either! 😅
The fall was for views 😂
Shame
Aree Judge saheb, the fall wasn't for views. There are various other methods of getting views than to harm oneself or ones loved one. It was a steep ascent and I was in the 3rd gear while the speed was slow.
There were others as well who found going through that terrain difficult. At 7:46 in the video, you will see a rider in the scooter. That rider had also almost fallen down and then stopped after getting up. There was another person in a Swift Dzire who was unable to move up, then a driver from another vehicle helped him.
