Can we just acknowledge Eddie's commitment to play every character at the table except the kid? I can't imagine how long it takes to shoot these type of scenes with all the makeup & costumes he has to change into. Not to mention a difference voice for every character! AMAZING!

In short yes they were meant to be somewhat offensive but in a comedic sense not an oppressive sense.

I grew up with this, but let me tell you this.. Back in 1996 when this came out, watching this was mind blowing hilarious and outrageous, one of the funniest scenes ever. Put this on and the whole family was laughing.. This movie was brilliant! We just don't get comedy like this anymore, still one of my favorites!
