I hope that you stay warm and your still healthy and stay very strong and get the truck fixed I never seen Glass just cracked like that in the winter 🥶 I have broke the window with the ring on my plow truck, big 10 wheeler stay warm my friend
Thanks for sharing, Tay. You’re right, something always happens and it is usually unexpected. The colors and markings of the calf are adorable. Lucky person who raises her.
Reminds e of some of misadventures on the farm and in my life of 84 years. But wouldn't trade it for anything. Sending good wishes to you and your family. God bless.
Hello from North Mississippi like you’re videos! Brings back memories from when I was growing up my grandparents had a dairy farm .. Lots of good memories!👌🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👌🏻
Tks for sharing Miss Tay. No one ever said Farming would be easy. But no matter how the day goes. You never give up. That's makes you a farmer though and though. You take the problem head on and still smile. How's Brent? You have showed him much.
At least one of the cows didn’t break a water line to a drinker bucket in the middle of the night and you get welcomed to the barn with a flood first thing in the morning. That’s my favorite bad thing to happen on the farm. Have a good day Taylor
" That's Farming". I guess you have heard that many times!!! Me too!!! Be careful and God bless you !! And get some gloves!!!! Thank you for sharing !!!! Eddy
Some days just don't go the way you want. But it always gets better. That truck takes the same side glass as a pickup, so any GMT400 door glass will work.
When I farmed with my Bro.-in-law, there was about 5 farms in the area, there was this sawdust truck, never knew who owned it, but which ever one wanted sawdust, they would come and take truck, use it, then if somebody else needed sawdust, you would call around and fine out where the truck was, then go there, take the truck, then wait for somebody else to come and get it for their sawdust- It had farm plates on it!
Keep smiling Tay your farming these things happen of course always at the wrong time lol but when you look back you’ll have a wee laugh take care chin up 👍
Winter just makes everything harder. But it is so beautiful and fun to play in sometimes.....lol. Happy to hear the boss will get the window fixed soon. Thanks for sharing Taylor. D
All week long I’ve been watching the National weather forecasts and they kept mentioning all the snow that was forecast for the east coast including Maine. I kept hoping that Taylor was going to be okay so that we could watch her next video. Keep smiling young lady 😊
Hiya Tay, Thank you for the video, well timed as I've finished watching and enjoying your back catalogue now. You are a very good vlogger and videographer too. Your yellow truck, I would fit a cut off switch near the battery so that the drain on the voltage is disconnected. That way you should keep charged battery for when you next start it. As they are not to hard to fit, I'd fit it so that if you sell/scrap the vehicle you can recover it for the next truck. your vehicle has something draining the charge. I'd fit a disconnect to any vehicle that has a problem with low battery starting. It will save killing the battery. You have to drive 30miles to put back the charge you use on a normal start, a hard start like with a low battery will take a lot more, and when you are only driving a short distance... Cold can and will break glass with a stress fault if it can catch it right. Stay safe, Steve...
@@tayfarmsbeaten into me when I trained as an electrician, hehehe. I can't believe how much you know about cows. Actually, I never knew there was so much to know, and you seem to know most of it. It is excellent to hear you sharing about your herd; I learn something new every time. Stay safe, Steve...
Need a nice little pole shed out front to park the truck, or like the one guy i work for did, put a tarp over the cab. Not much but it gets u through lol. Your doing great Taylor
Worse than the window is to have the sawdust load freeze in the box. Had that happen once and l learned real quick ,unload when l get back. Had to use a pick and bar to get it out.
Many years ago, my 6-year old Dodge was sitting in the garage on a hot summer day when I heard a noise. Opened the garage door and saw the rear window slowly shattering into a million pieces. I guess the original temper wasn't done quite right and the window eventually decided to stress relieve itself.
Very fun....for us...video!! I currently live in western NC and I'm a little jealous of ur snow! I know for those that have to work in it probably tks that's nuts....yea....I'm retired. There's no shame in garbage bag windows!! I watch another dairy farm channel (they're in Michigan) and in their last video, they were explaining about a sawdust shortage due to wood stove pellet companies buying up all the sawdust to make pellets. I'm assuming that's not a concern in ur area? I was gonna make a comment about wearing gloves....but that sounded a little too parental....so I won't go there! lol
Everything eventually works out when you do not give up. You area never give up young lady!!! Is the truck a dump truck? If so it would be much easier to dump the snow out.
Thank you! Yeah it is but snow sticks to the aluminum body like a burdock! Unless you have sunlight and plenty of time it doesn’t usually fall out. Thanks for commenting!
@@tayfarms Taylor another idea to try is leave the bed raised and see if that helps Also you can raise the bed and get a snow rake. you will not need to climb up and slide on the slick surface. I have used one for years to clean snow from my roof.
If Brent can't find glass at glass shop, he might try a scrap yard with large trucks. That might be tough tho. "Tape harder, Tay!" Shiny metal + cold wet snow = TlF;FoYF (Tractionless Footing; Fall on Your Face.) I don't know Tay, sounds like a typical day on the farm (or on a farm). Good stuff!
Certainly, snow sticks like velcro to the aluminum body. A big pain in the back side but at least it won’t rust out! I’m glad you enjoy watching thank you!
You need to have a sawdust room to where you can keep that sawdust inside and then you can get one or two loads instead of just one load at a time and that way you can throw a tarp over and keep it dry
Everybody’s been asking that😄 the aluminum body must retain some heat because it melts the snow on the body then freezes and nothing with dump off it. Thanks for commenting!
Your lucky to have sawdust available. On Acres of Clay ch on YT he just did a segment in his area Grand Rapids MI the highest bidder being wood pellets is causing a shortage of bedding.check out there ch I think you,ll enjoy them

LOL! You act like sweeping that much snow out of the truck is nothing. In Tennessee, that would have been a story everyone would have stopped to listen to in a bar or church!
Being you never heard of a Red Holstein you probably can't tell me if the Blue Holstein is a real breed? I have seen what appeared to be a Blue Holstein cow and a bull once 30 years ago but never found true data on them ! But the owner of this pair swore blue Holstein are real?

It sure does! I think it’s a law of nature 😆
You an your husband do nice job
Could I ask you why you just didn’t back the truck over to a field and dump the snow off it? Enjoy your videos very much.

how do you deal with cobwebs in the barn sweap or vacum thanks for sharing your videoes
Sweep them

How often does the milk truck run. U don’t have any videos of the truck picking ur milk up.
