Making Our Favorite Disney Snack At Home! | Cheeseburger Spring Rolls!

- In today's vlog we try to make our favorite in park Disney snack, CHEESEBURGER EGGROLLS! You guys have been sending us recipes to try and we decided to try it today! We took a few recipes and mashed them together and added some things to make it our own. We really really liked the outcome, they tasted just like the real Disney eggrolls. We were so excited! We hope you liked the vid and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!
Ingredients:
1lb. ground beef
1/2 white onion diced
1/2 cup dill pickle diced
4oz. velveeta cheese
1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
1-2 TBSP yellow mustard
couple shakes of Worcestershire sauce
1 package eggroll wrappers
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
salt and pepper to taste
The recipe below is from allrecipes.com but I changed the ingredients that we added in our version.
Place the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir for about 10 minutes, breaking up the beef into crumbles as it cooks. Drain the meat and put it back in the pan and add the velveeta cheese. Then transfer to a bowl. Stir in the chopped pickles, Worcestershire sauce and mustard, and mix together well.
We lined our counter with parchment paper. Place a bowl of water next to your work surface. Remove an egg roll wrapper from the stack, and cover the remaining wrappers with a damp paper towel to prevent them from drying out.
Place the wrapper on the work surface with a corner facing towards you. Place about 1/4 cup of filling on the wrapper, and fold the top corner down over the filling. Tightly roll the wrapper into a cylinder, tucking in the corners as you roll, until the wrapper completely encloses the filling. Moisten the last corner with a little water, and finish wrapping so the moistened corner tightly seals to the egg roll, and there are no gaps to let the filling leak out.
Heat the oil in a deep saucepan or deep fryer until a thermometer registers 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). Carefully place 2 or 3 egg rolls at a time into the hot oil, and fry for about 4 or 5 minutes, turning the egg rolls over once, until golden brown. Remove the egg rolls with a tongs, and drain on paper towels.

I love the Tracker Test Kitchen, could this become a new periodic vlog from time to time? Trying to recreate favorite park foods? Yum!!!
Jordan B H do you know when the NBA Expierience is opening?
Jordan B yessss
absolutely agree!!!! Holy Macaroni!!!
Alexander Henching I'm not sure, I don't live in the Orlando area sadly :(
Alexander Henching There's no confirmed opening date. The Disney Quest building hasn't even been demolished yet.
How can anyone "thumbs down" this video? Pleasant people making delicious food is the most inoffensive thing around. Kudos for a great video!
You guys should do more cooking videos!!
I 100% agree
Kadence Lohry Do you know when the NBA Experience is going to open?
Alexander Henching sorry no. I don't even know what that is! I live in California not Florida.
Here during coronavirus getting ready to make these in isolation
Sydney Purifoy Same!
Same here with my family. Stay safe!
I suggest using a larger square "spring roll" wrapper. It's commonly used in Filipino Lumpia (eggrolls). I used to make a ton of these. Gives a crispier bite and can fit a good portion. Not usually found at Publix. Usually found at an asian, oriental, or Filipino market. You can make your CB eggrolls in bulk and freeze them for future frying.
Agree with ^...I just looked at some vlogs and they are springrolls! Def try the springroll wrappers instead of eggroll! :)
omg the way jen's face lit up after her first bite of the finished product just made my night!!! you guys are the best
It is so much fun watching non-cooks cook. Just the overheard conversations alone. You guys are too much fun.
This combines all my favorite things cooking and Theme parks.
Yay. The Tracker test kitchen totally needs to be a thing!
The more I have watched your videos, the more I really like Jen. Not that Tim is not great, but Jen has a beautiful energy. Inside and out!
Our lical farmers market sells those egg rolls. Have to get some now.
You should make this a mini-series! "At Home Disney Delectables" cooking all of your favorite eats from Disney in the comfort of your home! Awesome video, really enjoyed.
Hey partners you need more oil so the egg rolls float in the pan and you're not supposed to touch the bottom of the pan when checking the temperature 😉👌🏻
Agreed. You should use a deeper pot. You can get a thermometer that you can clip to the side of the pot, and it will suspend the thermometer in the oil.
Also, use a utensil like tongs or a mesh skimmer to put in and take your eggrolls out of the oil.
Probably should be using a deep fryer.
I love you guys. My father and I always go to universal studios in Orlando. And you guys are so helpful, letting us know what's new. We really appreciate you guys. 💖
Guys I absolutely love watching you in your home environment. I swear you two are the perfect couple. Keep doing more of the home and every day living blogs. Keep up the good work! :)
I watched this video 6 years ago when you posted and, out of nowhere, I am making these tonight for my boyfriend and I for dinner tonight! We briefly talked on a live stream after I sent you pictures that I made them. DELICIOUS! Then we are seeing Mean Girls as a late night movie together afterwards. Can’t wait!
I was stressed out about going to work, so I watched this video while making and eating my breakfast and it calmed me down a lot. You guys are so cool and I'm glad you share little bits of your lives with us.
I love cooking and I make egg rolls all the time at home which makes me want to try this recipe! Some tips that might help you for next time:
-Fry your egg rolls in a large pot with enough oil so that the egg rolls can basically float. With frying them in a shallow pan the egg rolls will not only cook from the hot oil but also from the heat of the pan that they end up resting on. This can cause issues like you had with the first batch.
-I have found over time that when putting your seal (water, egg wash, etc. I personally like egg wash as it is stickier) on the wrapper put it on the edges of half the wrapper instead of just the one corner. This will help hold a better seal and help to make the egg rolls more pretty.
-Finally if you ever fry anything and don't know what to do with the oil at the end...you can reuse it! If what ever your'e frying didn't make the oil dirty, which egg rolls usually don't, you can wait for the oil to cool down and then save it for next time. As long as you don't have an abundance of chunks of food left over in your oil it is reusable a few more times.
Mjason44 thanks for the tips
You should try the grey stuff! It's delicious 😍 I love you guys, hope I see you when I go next year 💕
This is such a fun video! You guys looked like you had so much fun making this. I really appreciated Jen's comment about food made at home tasting good too. My husband will love these. You two are the best!
Can't wait to try these out. Loved them when we visited the park in 2015 and have looked for them everytime since.
Hey Jen and Tim, those cheeseburger eggrolls looked really good. I think you guys should make more cooking videos by making other disney world snacks (like the jalapeno pretzels!!) and universal ones too. Luv your vids!!!
Tim and Jen we just watched your egg roll video. You guys are so cute! I highly recommend you guys do lots more cooking! Keep up the awesome work! Love from Melbourne, Australia xx
Pippa Virag omg how did you think of the exact same thing and also from the same place as me! Hello from Australia!
I love how much Jackson loves Tim!! This vlog made me so happy!!
I LOVE when u guys do cooking videos! I am absolutely going to make them! Thank you SO much! Love u guys!
Oooo I'm gonna make some tomorrow! I've never had them at the park but I heard they are amazing.
I bet they cost a hell of lot less than getting them at the park. For what they paid for all the ingredience to make 10 of them at home is probably what you pay for the two she said you get a the park.
you know what would go well with that? Mulan Szechuan Sauce!
Totally going to try these. My kids will love them! Heck! I'll love them!!
I love when you guys cook together! Goals!
This could be a cool series, where you guys try to recreate theme park foods.
Y'all should get a mini fryer.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!! Made these the last 2 nights in a row & they were so tasty. We had gotten enough ingredients for a double batch Friday night but only ended up making a regular size one. But they turned out so good I wanted them a second time since we still had everything we needed!
I added a bit more spices after the meat was done cooking and they ended up tasting like the perfect combo of my mom's homemade burgers & a fast food one. (For anyone curious, I used pepper, old bay, and season salt in addition to the Worcestershire & mustard.)
Tim and Jenn singing Lazy town is the best!!!!!
Omg your makeup is so prettyyyyt!!!!!!
Both
You guys should make this a series, TimTracker vs Disney food, get some other people in to make it unbiased
please do these more often!! i love you guys on camera together ugh its the cutest
Tim singing Lazytown is something I never knew I needed until it already existed
Track test kitchen should become a new vlog 🙂 should make some recipes from disney and put your own twist to it! I loved this video!
@ 3:01 I started to crack up!
Kadence Lohry Ikr
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you got to do the cooking by the book you've got it tim
You two are so adorable. Thanks for the recipe!
I cannot wait to make these, they look scrumptious! Thanks Trackers!
Anyone from 2019 when jenn is pregnant 😃
💯💯💯💯💯💯
I always go back on there older videos
I'm from 2020 when Jenn already had Baby Tracker.
I am wondering what to use instead of velveeta cheese as I have never heard of that here in the Uk. I think a deeper pan to fry in would be better so the rolls can float in the oil too.
You two obviously really love each other..... very nice to watch.
Will definitely try those! Y'all do great together in the kitchen!! Y'all are awesome!!!
everytime I hear that lazy town song I think of the remix by lil jon
Little hint to the trecker test kitchen (trust me, i'm a professional chef): if u wanna deep fry smth and want to know the best temperature: u need a wooden cooking spoon. the temperature 'll be absolutely right, if u stick the wrong end of the wooden spoon into the oil and it "bubbles". no bubbles=too cold. your eggrolls will become "greasy". water into a frying pan is much too dangerous. Try a deeper pan or a cooking pot with higher walls against the hot sprinkles of oil. If u wanna add some more flavor to the meat: put it in a hot pan at first, adding just a bit of sugar.stir. it will brown on the ground. after that the onions, because they'll burn and become bitter. stir. the water in the onions will loose the delicious browned meat off the ground (if not, add a bit of water/red wine/apple juice) and scrap from the pans ground. enjoy!
I was thinking the same thing and I'm not a chef. I actually learned that tip from, I think, watching Rachel Ray. I have done it several times myself and it does work! If you don't have anything with a wooden handle on it I have used two or three wooden skewers (held bundled together of course) and got the same effect ;)
i am a pro chef too and i work at ohana in the polinesian resort and your sulutions both work tim i follow you and i love your vids i subscribed i hope to see you see ya
btw i was on food network and i got kicked out on third round on guys cooking games
Will definately be trying these. As many times as you've talked about these, I feel it's something we need to try. I think my boys would like them.
Holy awesomeness! My kids are going to LOVE these. If you want an easy "is the oil ready" test, stick the tip of a (clean) wooden spoon handle into your hot oil. It's ready when the oil bubbles up around the spoon.
Can you guys adopt me
Who else's eyes watered when they cut up the onions?
this video is both adorable and informative. 11/10 would watch again.
My wife and I are definitely going to try it. Thanks for the video and the details! We will see how they turn out.
I'll be honest, the meat mixture doesn't really look all that appealing but that end product though! 😍 I so wish I could eat fried food, but I think I might make these for my boyfriend.
I'm gonna try baking them when I make it. Perhaps you might be interested in trying that as well?
I'm going to try to make a vegetarian version (my bf is vegetarian) w/ fake ground beef. I never got to try them as the parks 😿
We made this tonight and they're amazing! Thanks for sharing this fun tutorial!
Loved the interaction of the two of you trying to cook ! Hilarious loved it
I bet jalapeños would be pretty good in those.
The Chris Experience that sounds so good
Hail Hypnotoad
Lol
Dinner tonight! Ever since I have started watching your videos I have wanted to try these. I'm SOOOO excited!!
Love the videos of all the parks brilliant job all the best.
Looks neat, but I imagine the burger taste would come off better by mimimizing what is boal-mixed ('cause we don't put burgers in a blender). I'd "build" the items in each eggroll, squirting a pass of mustard on the cooked meat and a strip of cheese, etc.
And don't use water to test oil! It could be a splatter danger! A drop of water is used to test a griddle or skillet for like pancakes.
DID YOU HEAR ABOUT DRAGON CHALLENGE CLOSING?!?! So disappointed
I am very sad. One of the best rides at Islands of Adventure.
Jamie Shander Even though I liked the ride, the theming (in my opinion) was mediocre. They just added the Dragon thing to adapt it in the Harry Potter world. I'm happy they are updating it.
True but they are going to lower the height limit meaning that it will not be as thrilling. :(
Jamie Shander NOOOO well I'm going to universal in a WEEK so maybe I can ride it, never rode it before, that is if any of my family wants to go with me lmao
LibrosEverytime that is true
Yaaaaaaay it's an episode of "cooking with the trackers" !!!! Nice to see Bandit in this video guys. Xxxxxxx
Yesss! Thanks so much for showing how to make them. We're trying it asap
Totally making these!! Yummmm!

Going to try these this weekend, thanks! They look delicious!
Changed it into a toco and my family loved it. Thank you.
When you guys sing that lazy town song it brings me back to the old days. Love it
You two guys have fun together and that is very refreshing to see. Great video and food👍🏻👍🏻
I absolutely love love love how perfect you guys are in the kitchen. you measure everything and use a thermometer, ever since I started cooking I've always been told to just eyeball it. 😂😂😂
Yay! You guys did it!!!!!!! That makes me so happy!!!
If you put the end of your wooden spoon in your oil, and bubbles form around it, your oil is the right temp. I love your videos!....I watch every one!
Your so right Jen, always make recipes your own! Yall both did it 😉 Loved this video and totally miss these. Understand the space though. Love you guys!
They look so yummy!! I think I want to try making them this weekend! Thanks for the recipe
