They are discussing, asking questions and assessing understanding of their pupil (who often is not as responsive as a comment section ) and then physically having to get them to do it.
I'm a tourist from Toronto, Canada and just drove a few days ago from Liverpool to northern Wales. I've driven in UK before but I forgot how mortifying the roads are here comapred to back home. We have so few roundabouts, especially in Toronto. Just stop signs and traffic lights. Watching this helped a lot as driving on North American roads is like primary school compared to the phD level of UK/European roads. Our roads are like most things in our society, centred around convenience. I wish I had watched this first before venturing out, luckily no accidents but I realized I was doing roundabouts somewhat wrong lol
I'm an ex driving instructor myself and I've never heard or read (or given) such a crystal clear delivery about roundabouts... well done sir. A wonderful and dynamic video. Many thanks for all the hard work that you MUST have put into this. Good luck for the future with these challenging times on the road. I'm now a happy subscriber. 👍

Well done and good on you. 36 years old finally learning to drive booking for a test has been a nightmare so just recapping with the instructor. I can't wait for that sense of freedom a car can give.
When I first came to the UK, roundabouts were the most confusing aspect of driving here. This is the best explanation of roundabouts I've seen. Well done!
Yeah, but if they didn't have them, the UK drivers couldn't come to the States and talk trash about how we don't know how to even use roundabouts. All we have is stupid large wide roads and nice highways with dumb clear traffic signals. Honestly though I've seen many more roundabouts crop up in suburbs and some cities in the States. I don't think it is always the best answer, but it's got it's place.
I’ve been driving for 30 years and would like to point out that you never stop learning when it comes to driving. One of the most important things to remember is that you should always allow extra time for every journey and stay calm. Safe driving everyone and good luck if you are taking your test.
Yes, that's why driving is one of my favourite hobbies. It's basically like when you pick an instrument you never stop learning if you are that passionate.

I wished my riding instructors to tell me at least about 12 o'clock scheme easy-peasy . Keep doing great staff mate. Brilliant vocabulary, examples and pronunciation....Thanks!!!

I don't agree but look forward to being corrected. If taking the third or forth exit you will be entering the roundabout with your righthand indicator on and only switching to you lefthand indicator when you have cleared the exit prior to the one you want. If you were to move over to the adjoining left lane every time you pass an exit, you will be changing to the lane on your left with your righthand indicator on.
I passed today and wanted to say thank you, Richard, for your help building my confidence and skills when I wasn't behind the wheel. You've been a hugely valuable resource for me and many others! A+ content!

I'm 38 and just learning to drive. Roundabouts are the biggest challenge for me at the moment - knowing when to go and when to wait, especially if it's busy. Your videos helpfully explain what to do in each scenario and give me confidence that it will be all right!
Most people who struggle with decisions are trying to decided too early, make sure you're slow and very close before deciding, when you are far back the situation keeps changing.
I had lots of respect when I started driving in the UK like 12 years ago. I'm from Germany and always drive my left-hand car in the UK. A couple of years ago I just started to continue driving in the roundabout when I wasn't really sure what lane or exit to take. This way you have more time to get ortiented which really helps a lot. Hope you passed the test and are doing alright on the road (your comment is one year old at the time that I'm answering 😁).
I’m in awe of this man. I wish you stayed near me. What a difference you make to experienced and novice drivers. Keep up the great work you are doing in educating the nation.
Thanks! Very well explained. Multi-lane roundabouts scare me so much that I actually keep driving to a minimum and will only go places I know. Need to have more confidence and push myself to go on one
I do this as well. Passed 2 years ago but because of fear of driving alone and making mistakes. Recently started driving but still avoid roundabouts or hills
I passed my driving test about 2 months ago at age 39, and I still like to get advice about areas I'm not 100% sure of i.e. roundabouts! Great video and very clearly explained :) Thanks!
I'm learning and the hardest part for me is the roundabout rules, which made me not anymore excited about learning as I get really nervous near the roundabout. Thanks very helpful video 👍🏼

These videos are excellent! As an owner of a driving school, I highly recommend them. The explanations are very clear, well-articulated, and delivered in a relaxed manner.
This guy is an excellent communicator; clear, concise, to the point; no padding of info. Well done. One Rule I'd like to see.......no overtaking at all on multi-lane roundabouts, which, in my extensive experience, can lead to racing.
I just passed my practical test yesterday and I want to say thank you sooo much for your incredible videos because you helped me with my confidence explaining things so beautifully. Love your videos!!!

You're a superb instructor. Very organized! I'm currently in Nigeria where we actually don't have many complicated roads and roundabouts but this video has enlightened me a great deal. Thanks.
My brother I Dey here.. preparing for test two days time, too scary.. just came here two years ago.. to be honest it’s far different story when you’re taking or driving in UK..nightmare 😢😢😅
Honestly, There is no words to appreciating words for this informative and emphasized video. Thanks for putting your time and efforts to make this video. Thanks once again ❤
I’d like to say thank you for helping me get through my driving test. I passed yesterday with 3 minors (ironically all for signals lol), but this channel was a massive help with all the theory and really boosted my confidence in the road.
Hi everyone, I passed my driving test on 16th April this month in 2nd attempt without taking any classes from instructor. Just took help from youtube videos and special thanks to ‘Conquer driving’ 😊
John 3:16 JESUS is LORD If you’re talking about the Great Cambridge roundabout in Tottenham, that’s probably the worst roundabout ever constructed... Congratulations 😄
John 3:16 JESUS is LORD I live near there and go round that roundabout a few times a week. I agree it is ABSOLUTELY SAVAGE!! Also it never used to have traffic lights!! I know so many people who failed their driving test because of that roundabout 😢😢
Had my first double lesson a few days ago which went extremely well to the point where my instructor asked if I wanted to try a busy roundabout, of course I said no because they freak me out and I just don't properly understand them well enough yet. This video was really well explained and has given me a much better understanding. 👌 Great job and you got yourself a sub. 😁
Outstanding video! Crystal clear instructions. Plan to drive in the UK for the very first time after having driven in India for many years. I plan to watch all your videos repeatedly to familiarise myself with UK driving rules. Thank you for the excellent video.
Thank you for this extremely helpful video, my driving instructor has failed to explain the rules concerning roundabouts. As your video was concise and to the point.
Your articulation and descriptions of everything was perfectly executed and so satisfying to listen to, that I feel like I soaked in every ounce of what you explained. Helped me solidify what I felt I already knew. Thank you 🙏🏻 😆 Got my practical test tomorrow and I’m feeling better for watching this video!
I'm dutch and I found this really helpful! I recently saw some UK dashcam video's and saw that I goes wrong on roundabouts quite often. I was not sure what the rules are in the UK, after a quick search I found this video. Thnx for clearing it up! Now I know what to do when I visit the UK :) We don't have much double or more laned roundabouts here. And when we do they are mostly with clear lane difference ( can be with a small curb or something).
My driving test is today. I watched your videos last night as I was too nervous to sleep. I will be honest I never had formal training and lessons. I only had friends and your channel to teach me. I am very grateful because I passed my driving test!!!
Dont get me wrong , thats your language of course but its so clear and perfect. As a foreigner its sometimes difficult to understand them especially the ones from northern england or uk. I hope when i have my driving test , he or she would be speaking same as you 😊
Absolutely phenomenal video this. Thank you very much. Watched it many times before my test and passed today with four minors. Much appreciated for this content, it goes a long way. Wish you all the best for the future.
My driving instructor recommended that I watched this video before I do roundabouts. It has helped me understand them before officially learning roundabouts and not just doing them because I have to to get to a place.
Your videos are so helpful ! I’m an American living in England now and even though I’ve been driving awhile , I have a lot to learn with English road rules . Thank you for doing these .
Haven't driven in England in about 34 years ..>THIS was a GREAT refresher~ Extremely informative, precise diagraming and very, very helpful to give me back the confidence I was not feeling! Thank you.
I'm finally on the roads after passing 3 years ago, you've been a massive help in boosting my confidence and reminding me of the things that I wasn't so sure on. The best driving channel out there! Perhaps something to add to your videos is timestamps, so that we can skip to a specific part of the video 😁
Thank you. I'm am doing that to my latest videos. I've tried applying it to someone old videos, it was taking a long time but I will try again at some point.
The most confusing thing I find about roundabouts and passing-driving (as I call it) is when you turn left on a main road you should wait for the vehicle indicating to START turning, however when on a roundabout it seems like you are supposed to trust people's positioning and indicators rather and proceed based on this, otherwise it's commonly judged as a hesitation (minor error). That's crazy to me. Thank you for bringing some sanity to all this
You shouldn't never fully trust a signal, but if the car is far enough away that it would not be dangerous to go, I will trust the signal as it's still safe. If the car is close and pulling out would cause a collision, then I don't trust the signal.
Anxious, stressed... I know that feeling 🤣 I just had my first lesson since March and thanks to your videos it went so much better than I expected. Thank you!
I'm 28, a petrol head, and I've been driving my beloved modded GTi for 2 years now. Came up to a 4 lane roundabout for the first time recently and there were no road markings (that I could see at least), and the roundabout was extremely busy which definitely didn't help. Went round 3 times before I finally made it to my exit but thanks to you now at least I know what to do next time. Stay safe out there everyone, and thanks for the knowledge CD, brilliantly explained.
Oh God, suddenly I’m happy to drive in Germany. Our roundabouts are so simple in comparison. We drive counterclockwise into it and only use the indicator when leaving the roundabout. That’s it. Even for multilane ones. God bless you all for having to deal with this chaos 😆
I just passed the test. You made me understand these pesky details instead of "hi, I am chris, now I will tell you how to sleep and pass the test without even taking it" guy. I appreciate your hard work and it made a change for me!!! I can donate you a lil bit if you have a Paypal or something.
I passed my exam today at Bishopbriggs, Glasgow. First time with 3 minors. And I had an instructor for only 3 days which was only telling me that I need to reschedule and I will def fail! Thank God and to your high quality content videos, I have not! Your videos are always very simple to follow and I can’t thank you enough! A million likes and subscribe for u haha!
@@pass-my-test, someone once asked me what the worst roundabout was. Straight away I said Park Square roundabout. But thinking a bit more into it, I'd have to say that they are all just as bad as eachother!
Just learning to drive and struggling with roundabouts! Never had an issue come up while driving, but I also wasn't aware of what to do in certain scenarios, this definitely helped me out! Top-notch video!
Thank you so much for giving us this quality content!! I’m doing my lessons and I must say my instructor is good but I’m learning so much more from you!
I was quite interested in how the roundabouts (especially indicating in one) work in the UK. Thank you for the clear demonstration! Even in Eastern Europe, a fair amount of drivers do not use indicators. Either they use it way too late, or not at all, as said. This sometimes is a harsher offense than speeding.. As for roundabouts: In order not to collide, what can one do? WAIT. Richard says it correctly - patience and logical thinking ALWAYS pays off. Do take opportunities you deem safe and available, but do NOT risk small windows of chance, it generally is not worth it.
This is extremely beneficial for beginners. You clearly illustrates the rules in roundabout.we hopefully expect more useful videos in the foreseeable future. Thanks.

You're a superb instructor. Very organized! I'm currently in Nigeria where we actually don't have many complicated roads and roundabouts but this video has enlightened me a great deal.
Thanks.
Thank you and you're welcome ☺
My brother I Dey here.. preparing for test two days time, too scary.. just came here two years ago.. to be honest it’s far different story when you’re taking or driving in UK..nightmare 😢😢😅
Honestly, There is no words to appreciating words for this informative and emphasized video. Thanks for putting your time and efforts to make this video. Thanks once again ❤
This has helped me so much I struggle so bad with roundabouts and what lanes to get into this has made the picture much bigger for me thankyou
I'm glad I can help.
I’d like to say thank you for helping me get through my driving test. I passed yesterday with 3 minors (ironically all for signals lol), but this channel was a massive help with all the theory and really boosted my confidence in the road.
That's great to hear, congratulations on passing!
Hi everyone,
I passed my driving test on 16th April this month in 2nd attempt without taking any classes from instructor.
Just took help from youtube videos and special thanks to ‘Conquer driving’ 😊
I passed my test and I conquered the great Cambridge road roundabout thank you for the extra tips
Great news! I hope you enjoy your licence.
John 3:16 JESUS is LORD If you’re talking about the Great Cambridge roundabout in Tottenham, that’s probably the worst roundabout ever constructed... Congratulations 😄
I'm interested, I'll take a look.
John 3:16 JESUS is LORD I live near there and go round that roundabout a few times a week. I agree it is ABSOLUTELY SAVAGE!! Also it never used to have traffic lights!! I know so many people who failed their driving test because of that roundabout 😢😢
Maz 0508 I know right! I remember when it didn’t used to have traffic lights. Carnage.
You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.
Excellent, 80 % drivers would fail this past of their driving test now. So many drivers miss use & misunderstandings roundabouts.
I think a lot of people know how to but they don't want to.
Also I'm impressed the way you talk, you explain things easier rather than using complicated words, easier to understand.
Your articulation and descriptions of everything was perfectly executed and so satisfying to listen to, that I feel like I soaked in every ounce of what you explained. Helped me solidify what I felt I already knew. Thank you 🙏🏻 😆
Got my practical test tomorrow and I’m feeling better for watching this video!
That's great! Good luck with your test.
I hope when i have my driving test , he or she would be speaking same as you 😊
Migo58 agree,he speaks so clearly.👏👏
@ew hahahah same
Absolutely phenomenal video this.
I struggle with roundabouts and live in Colchester so this video was really helpful.
I'm glad to be of help :)
@@ConquerDriving No problem! I noticed it in the latest video and was very happy. Thanks a lot 😁
I just returned from Scotland and you can"t imagine how this video me immensely helped . Thanks
Best explanation! The most helpful video by far. Thank you very much🙏🏽
Anxious, stressed... I know that feeling 🤣 I just had my first lesson since March and thanks to your videos it went so much better than I expected. Thank you!
I'm so happy to hear that 😊
My daughter has her driving test next month ..she always feels Nervous when approaching Roundabouts .. especially when there are three to four excits
Germany has one of the best road systems in the world. I am mildly jealous.
Ha try and keep up with traffic on the autobahn thats why german roads are better no limit
Might be why Germany traffic indecent death toll per 100,00 is nearly twice the UK's.
Wow, you're absolutely amazing! You re speaking so clearly and explaining so well
I just passed the test. You made me understand these pesky details instead of "hi, I am chris, now I will tell you how to sleep and pass the test without even taking it" guy. I appreciate your hard work and it made a change for me!!! I can donate you a lil bit if you have a Paypal or something.
Congratulations on passing! Thank you for your suggestion, watching is support enough at moment so thank you for making it possible.
The best video I seen on UA-cam- got my test in a few days, this has really helped me.
Good luck!
Did you pass ?💖💖💖
Thank you for this! I’m currently learning to drive and there’s a busy multi-lane roundabout near where I live that absolutely TERRIFIES me 🙈
Practise will get you there. Accept you may get things wrong whilst you're learning.
The best roundabout lesson ever!! Thanks! 😊
You should come to sheffield, where no-one knows how to use a roundabout.
Been to Sheffield once, I have to say I was pleasantly suprised, nice place.
Love the brookhill roundabout 🤣
@@pass-my-test, someone once asked me what the worst roundabout was. Straight away I said Park Square roundabout. But thinking a bit more into it, I'd have to say that they are all just as bad as eachother!
Bad Driving Sheffield lol. Calm down.
Bad Driving Sheffield 😂😂😂
I watch these videos before my lessons to help with my nerves and turn it into excitement. These videos are perfect
Just learning to drive and struggling with roundabouts! Never had an issue come up while driving, but I also wasn't aware of what to do in certain scenarios, this definitely helped me out! Top-notch video!
Thank you so much for giving us this quality content!! I’m doing my lessons and I must say my instructor is good but I’m learning so much more from you!
passed my test yesterday, an can 100% say it was down to this video , i was so shit at roundabouts untill i watched this, thx a lot
Congratulations on passing!
This is the best video I have ever seen about the roundabouts .
Thank you so much
You're welcome.
OMG This really helped!!! every since i started my driving lessons, i've been so confused at round abouts!! thank you so much for thiss!!!
You're welcome ☺
The roundabouts without visible marked lanes are confusing. This explanation is brilliant so glad I found this channel ❤
3:19 - 5:17 is why I came to watch this video. Thank you
I hope it helps!
Fantastic explanation of roundabouts.
Had lessons for a guy going driving for over 50yrs for 2 days couldn’t understand him this video is amazing
Sensible advice!
This is extremely beneficial for beginners. You clearly illustrates the rules in roundabout.we hopefully expect more useful videos in the foreseeable future. Thanks.
Maybe it's just me but I have a illusion that Freddy Mercury comes alive and talking to me.
😄 You're not the first to say that.
Driving lessons with Freddy Mercury are mesmerizing, enjoyed every second when Freddy is looking at my face throwing words and facial expressions at me.
@@simple11q 😄
I was about to drop a similar comment when I started watching
you beat me to it
This guy is literally the reason why I stopped being afraid to drive … as a learner this is needed
I am stuck with roundabout and the video is helpful
Same
Thanks such a nice explanation.. my test is soon hopefully I PASS In sha Allah.. 👍
You're welcome. Good luck 🤞
Your video helped me to understand how the “spiral” system works. Thanks a lot. I shared my understanding with my driving instructor and he said thanks to you too.
Second video I've seen and I'm now impressed by this channel.
