    The master of the Telecaster in his prime, with the original Icebreakers (A.C. Reed, Johnny B. Gayden, Casey Jones, Aaron Burton), doing a great cover of this T-Bone Walker's song.

      Agreed. This outright garbage that passes for music today is shameful. BTW, those that want to refute what I said, go ahead. I said what I had to say.

    Such a unique style, plucked with his fingers, incredible tone, high energy, he really cooked live and wrung you out in the process. He could hold his own with anybody on any stage. A one of a kind talent. I never missed a show his in San Diego for years. My favorite blues player of all time!🙌🏻🙌🏻🍎

      Went to Aragon Ball room to see Robert Cray Band, Albert Collins opened, I new a few of his songs, Dirty dishes was my favorite at the time. He went all the way up to the top rows of the room playing up and back. Real up close, awesome picking all the way up and down. Never forget that night. Wish I would seen him in person again.

      The word unique was invented for albert collins. There can't be another. Originality oozing out with every lick. Just needs to sling that axe on his right shoulder, and shoot from the hip - magic.

    It's like Albert had a pet tiger in his guitar, and he would calmly wrestle it in front of us, and made this completely individual groove. Love you Ice Man

    I dont know much if anything about playing guitar. I have been listening to the blues since about '82 and learned early on that you could recognize guitarists by their tone. My brother who was a guitar player until his passing, was happy that at least I learned I could pick out all the guitarists by their tone. There is no one as unique as Albert Collins. I saw him in Salt Lake City back during this time - about 1983. Had at least 100+ foot cord on his guitar and walked out of the bar into the middle of the street. It was superb showmanship

    This great song was written by the brilliant songwriter Jessie Mae Robinson who died when she was only 48 years old.
    The song could not be in better hands, than the divine hands of the undisputed Master of the Telecaster, guitar and blues legend Albert Collins, who also died far too early when he was 61 years old. RIP and Thx Jessie & Albert - your beautiful music lives forever.

    Saw him a few times when I was just a teenager around Houston with his 200 foot guitar cord out playing in the middle of the street. Albert's tone and visual is iconic. One note or look and you instantly know it's the Ice Man. Damn shame he's not in the Rock Hall.

    he has a capo on the C and has the guitar tuned to a minor. I guess that's how he learned on his own. The guy kills it

    • @johnpendarvis7885

      He tuned to F#m open.

    • @jackempson3044
      @jackempson3044 Рік тому

      Looks like he's tuned to a minor as i said instead of open F#m tuning. It is open however but an F. Looks like a capo. I've seen him use capo's a lot but I've never sat down to listen to exactly what he's doing. I'm sure anyone who studies his style knows.
      Maybe it is an open tuning.
      I jjuts looked this up. I don't see the F sharp:
      "In other words, when he played all of his open strings, he sounded an F minor chord. So his strings from low to high were as follows: F-C-F-Ab-C-F" .
