Albert Collins was a gentleman and a professional. He was warm and kind. His showmanship and the way he directly communicated with his audience was inspirational. Leo Fender must have been impressed with his use of the telecaster. He had a great sense of humor. We need more of his kind. He is missed. I'm an atheist, but God Bless Albert Collins.

Albert also much loved by various band members over the years apparently?
Out of all the blues greats, I find I'm drawn to his unique blend of blues, funk, brass band, and rock, and style of playing guitar like it was his organ that got stolen.

Yeah baby! That's some great Blues. Albert Collins was fabulous in concert and he was always a very nice person, as others have said. Barrelhouse was a rocking bluesy band for the late 70's. I'll have to admit, I had never heard of them until this video with Albert. They reminded me of the old Austin Blues scene from the late seventies into the nineties. Albert frequented Antone's Night Club in Austin during that time. He would crank up his Fender Quad Reverb and plug in his 300 foot guitar cable and walk around the hall and then out the front door. He was torching Austin back then. One night Stevie Ray snuck in a side door and got up on stage with him. They proceeded to apply the atomic sledgehammers of guitar magic that night until well after closing time. Those were indeed the days.
