Actually: there is NO confetti on stage at any moment. According the production team there were 2 things that simply are forbidden to be used in a performance and that is confetti and water. In both cases it would take up way too much time to clean the stage up within the 40 seconds they have between acts. Yes, you read it right: on average there is about 40 seconds between songs to change from one act to the other.

Check out The Common Linnets from a few years back .. not similar in musical style but as captivating plus the staging was as distinctive as this performance. Anyone else loves the moment at the very beginning when he steps out of the shadow towards his mike? The whole staging and the visual thing is extremely classy .. it reminds me quite a lot of The Common Linnets a few years ago. It has a simplicity an d purity to it that just fits with the band and the song.

Do you know that the female vocalist from The Common Linnets loves the song? "Finally a song!" Was the message she wrote and sent to a Dutch commentator.
@@predagdrasko_r4371 Sure, I heard that and she is right. Both Ilse and I have something in common in that we both are "Tukkers", born and raised in the Twente which is in the Eastern part of the Netherlands. Have been following her career ever since she exploded with her debut album.
She is genuinely a very nice person but also very driven, bordering on perfectionist. The combination of that is what brought her so far and she is now also helping / mentoring young artists like Hannah Maeh, Joe Bugg and of course Duncan Laurence.
