Absolutely loved this performance and loved the show as a whole. I was so happy Disney put this out for Pride. First time I watched it this song brought tears to my eyes, very moving. They are a beautiful couple.

That was why I was a bit underwhelmed by this. If you see joe sing the climb.. u see all his heart.. here I felt a bit of missing emotion
@@brucksz May be they are more tense here. Idk the context but if they're recording this separately for this album may be It's not the same old production they're used to film with and the pressure of the spotlight on them. They're young so it's hard not to let it get to them. If Marc is right, it looks like he's thinking too much at certain points and take away the emotion a bit

My four year old who loves Disney was waiting this with me and asked "I thought jasmine is a girl" "oh it's two boys who are together singing the song. And I think they are a couple" she smiles makes me rewind "like them singing it they are cute"

Marc! I have been remiss in responding to your videos and I apologize. I hope it does not affect my standing in your classes. Anyway, this particular video had me quite emotional. Yes, there were tears. To hear this piece sung by two men moved me. I followed my general pattern of watching them first, then listening with my eyes closed and finally listening while just watching you. Your expressions tend to to get me to emote. I think I never imagined that A Whole New World could be sung by two people of the same sex particularly by two men who are actually romantically involved off camera. Yes, there is a definite connection between the two and their voices compliment what they must be feeling both in in their professional and personal lives. I am always drawn to clean, lyrical vocals and this duet was beautifully romanticized and exemplified their young love. There was a vocal connection, a connection with their unwavering eyes and finally the physical as they ended with holding hands. Marc, you already know what I want to see and hear in future videos...you. I also want to thank you for being an advocate and strong voice for the LGBTQ community.
You should watch Frankie’s performance of I wanna dance with somebody and Joe’s performance of To be a man.

I've watched all your patreon videos, but I must admit, I'm way behind with your regular posts, which I must admit I enjoy every bit as much. This song is perfect for PRIDE and welcomes all in a child's point of reference.

'Safe Space'.. In 1965, there was no ''safe space' for the this public performance in America. In the early 70's there were specific neighborhoods in New York and in San Franscisco, Los Angelos where this song could be publicly performed by two men. By the mid 70's you could add some progressive nightclubs , Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle and Boston. By the mid Eighties, we had seen a love song like this popularized on the Broadway stage and some similar brief episodic moments on Televison and in movie theaters. Now it is safe virtually anywhere on either coast, and in major cities in Southern and Midwestern America. But you'd still better be careful in venues in the small towns, in rural counties across the country because hate crimes/ harrassment are still not all that uncommon. But at least the two male performers aren't going to be arrested for singing it in a venue like this anymore, and the club owner won't be threatened with a shut down notice for contributing to 'moral turpitude'

I like the show a lot but I find this quite a boring performance. Most of the musical numbers in HSM:TM:TS I find are quite bland, except Olivia Rodrigo and Julia Lester who knock it out of the park every time. The dancing is always killer though!
