Thank u so much ! Mine kept blowing repededly then realized i had Pennies stuck in the center console power socket . pulled it out and No more fuse blown 👍
Thanks bro just got the car to find out it don't work then took the wrong one out and dropped it into the abyss so will be going to auto zone right after I pull this one out 🤣 thanks again
Haha, it's always a great time working on a bmw. Even if it's the easy stuff, there's always a headache of some sort. No problem! I'm happy the video helped you out.
Im not 100% sure on that either. But did ur dash cam come with an extra battery option for parking standby? I have a dash cam for my e90. And the parking kit didn't come with the cam. The parking kit was an add on which had a separate battery.
@@acauto7886 the kit is a separate purchase. It comes with a box in line which is wired for connection to a constant and a switched live. The box senses when battery drops below 11.3v and shuts the system down. When you turn ign off then it automatically goes into movement mode, both ir sensor and vibration so it acts like a cctv.
@@acauto7886 Think I've sussed it. Problem is my BMW has a staggered shut down when you pull the key so you beed to note the live fuses or spares and then retest them 15 mins later to see if they're now showing 0v...
Yes, It should be just the fuse! I had the same issue. I tried plugging in a object that had too high voltage for the cig lighter fuse. When I plugged it in, a spark and a pop occured. I replaced the fuse and it worked good as new. I hope your case is just the fuse as well! Let me know how it goes.
AC Auto .. i want to replace the flashlight port for a cigarette port so I can connect a dash cam..I just don’t know where the fuse is so I can make sure I don’t burn anything in my car
I'm not 100% sure. If your car is between 2006-2009 it should be the same but like I said I'm not too sure. See if you could find someone with an e92 and see if they could take a picture of their chart for you. I don't want to give you the wrong information
I got a 2007 BMW 328i. Both cigarette lighters do not work. I was watching the video and the orange 5 amp fuse is ok. But the one to the right of it is a 20 amp fuse and it is burnt. I thought the 5 amp is the cigarette lighters fuse.
Where u pulled the 20 from, is there susposed to be a 5amp fuse? Maybe previously, they put a fuse with 20amp where a 5 is susposed to be and blew it because it was too strong. Check the chart and see if a 5amp belongs where the 20amp is
@@lionden9601 if you got the new fuse, just follow video and plug in the fuse. If it's the whole fuse box, I'm sure u can find the main plug for fuse box and swap it. But I'm not 100% sure how the fuse box its self works.

Can you show a picture of the paper on the back of glove cover please
I'm installing a dash cam parking kit. No one tells you which fuses are ignition switched and which are constant positive.
Im not 100% sure on that either. But did ur dash cam come with an extra battery option for parking standby? I have a dash cam for my e90. And the parking kit didn't come with the cam. The parking kit was an add on which had a separate battery.

Ahh I gotchu. And you need an constant positive fuse to run that kit off of. Im not too sure which fuses are constant positive

Where did you get spare fuse from
Bought a pack at a local autopart/hardware store
Thank you, just the video I needed!
All the information is helpful so thanks to everyone that do their best and demonstrating all the advice and examples to all of us much love!!!!😎🤙
Unfortunately I took out my cig charger & my charging cable fell in the hole and sparked. Hopefully it’s just a fuse. Love my BMW!

Yeah man same thing just happened to me hopefully it's just the fuse!
Thx for the video, do you know where I can find information on all the pictures/icons and what they stand for?
Your welcome! I'd check your drivers manual and/or the forums
is it the same for all e90's? i just bought one yesterday. cig lighter ports both not working. but there is no fuse in that location at all.in my car
Yes, should be the same for all e90s. Your saying the fuse spot is empty? It could be that the previous owner. Took the fuse and never replaced it.
does this also fix the aux port in the center
I'm pretty sure it is a different fuse from the cig lighter fuse
What fuse your flashlight tap to? The one on the glove box
The fuse for the flash light plug in? I'm not sure if the plug in has a fuse. I would have to look
AC Auto .. when you do let me know it will make a good video to install a plug for a dash cam instead of the flashlight
@@pullcollector2714 ok I will definitely let you know! And wait... did you say you are swapping the flashlight fuse to run a dash cam?

Hey mate, you might not recall by now, but was your aux port working when the fuse was blown ?
Hey man, I'm pretty sure the aux still worked in my situation, I could be wrong, I don't remember 100%. But I think mine still worked
mine did work
Ever had any issues with the coolant liquid overheating?
I've never had a coolant over heating issue. But I once had a slight coolant leak which caused my engine to over heat just a bit
Hello what year is your e90
2007
Thanks, mine is a 2008, fixed it, thanks again
@@bobbywarrior1434 good to see you fixed it! Our video help you out?
Yes it did, thanks
Thanks brother appreciate the vid but dies it matter what kind of fuse you use? Like the amps don’t know much about cars lol
No problem, and you should use the same amount of amps as the one you took out. U don't wanna blow a fuse or the circuit board/box
Very helpful. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Is it the same for e92 I can’t find my little paper
I'm not 100% sure. If your car is between 2006-2009 it should be the same but like I said I'm not too sure. See if you could find someone with an e92 and see if they could take a picture of their chart for you. I don't want to give you the wrong information
Good work my friend but I have angel eyes do not work Do you know the place of your fuse 😬
Thank you. And I'm not too sure on the headlight fuse. I'll do some research. But are you sure the headlights are out due to a bad fuse?
AC Auto In fact, I do not know if the problem is from the fuse, but as you know the fuse is the simplest things to be examined at first
@@mestolord5374 correct. I will see if I can find the fuse for the head lights
Damn thanks for the tweezer tips that’s clutch
Haha no problem! The tweezers were 100% a life saver
Mine says 08 instead of 30?
Does it have to be the same color?
No, I'm pretty sure as long as the number is the same your okay!
