So we have very similar builds with small differences. I would highly suggest swapping out BT5 Gabu for EX1 Gabu since you are running the Garuru that plays Matt for free. I will say, I actually stopped playing the EX1 Garuru and put in the BT15 Garuru. It is very good, I underestimated its use. The 5s, I run that almost exact line-up, except I also run 1 copy of WereAce. It has actually won games from its stunning effect and gives you another 1 evo target with mental training. The last difference is I run 1 X anti Protoform. This lets me recycle pieces if the stack dies and allows for a free evo into EX5 WereX which helps push the OTK turn really well! Glad to see another Melga player putting the work in though! Best blue dog!
100% My favorite deck, built it in BT9 when I started and it's still going strong!!
Quick note: Matt BT15 doesn't see its own effect because it can only be triggered by Digimon effects
My bad totally misspoke on that. I wish it was as good as bt14 TK.
Super similar list to mine right now I’m trying the ex1 engine to try and abuse the Matt ishidas but right now I wanna go back to a more consistent base
"We don't really have, what a lot of decks do have, which is a digimon, that could actually play our Tamers efficiently."
BT15 Garurumon: [When Digivolving] If you have a Tamer with [Matt Ishida] in its name, <Draw 1> (Draw 1 card from your deck). If you don't have a Tamer with [Matt Ishida] in its name, you may play 1 Tamer card with [Matt Ishida] in its name from your hand with the play cost reduced by 3.
It's better than it's "Greymon Counterpart" in BT12-062 Greymon. That Greyon just plays a Tai, if you don't have one. This Garurumon gives you a draw if you already have a Matt in play. So value none the less.
