I know he is good and one of the better cards. Anytime they print the ability to gain memory on an easy condition that is in the engine, it is usually broken. I don't know if he needs to get hit because he looses to ace digimon and has a hard time playing around them, which is why I put the deck down and with more aces his match ups become harder. I could be wrong and thinking too narrow, though in this case specifically.

@Xanitsu i defs understand. Aces is a great deterrent for mirage. However id argue the deck has really powerful removal along with a very easy otk. I truely believe itll be the strongest blue deck forever if its not touched. This game you have to see your pieces so playing around a floodgate that punishes you for doing that feels hella bad. It feels even worse playing around that when you have only 1 or 0 security left after getting your security chomped by BM. I do think theres more pressing concerns and i could honestly see the wolf dodge the banlist since theres just so many cards that could justify a hit. But if mirage is left untouched deck 100% will continue to top every event

becuase she isnt good unless your deck is build around using 4 of her.

@@sleepydruid100 Having that 20% chance to lock yourself out of the game is really bad. the raising area is super important as a lot of combo based decks need the protection it offers (this deck included). The only time mother is good is when you dont have a rookie to develop. The deck also doesnt need mother for alliance because it has a lot of ways on setting itself up off 1 body making mother even worse ATM. the idea is better than in practice and when i tried it mother rare worked out in my favor.

@@enigmaticheart666 lots of people understand the Bowmon is an issue. This deck can OTK turn 2 if it finds its pieces. An errata to make Bowmon once per turn would be fine, but as it stands, this is the most broken Level 2 they've made, more so than Bukamon.

Why would this be hit when it doesn't top is my question? Fenri has been tier 2 for a hot minute, and even with the addition of stuff from BT17 like Take, it's not looking like this deck will consistently see top 16s(could be wrong and eat my words lol). Yes it can hit the nuts(like I'm sure other decks can also do) , but at the same time, without results, why take the egg away?

@@vonwafer12 because if you're going to hit the all the tier 1 decks, this becomes potentially the best deck without a hit, and also, Bandai has shown in the past that uninteractable OTK decks are ones they don't want to exist. He's certainly not the first card I'd hit or errata, but in the top 10.

I feel like this is all dependent on the ban list tbh, it's a slippery slope I feel See my counter statement to this is, let's say Bandai decides to hit the Ukkos to 1, just as an example. Nume gets hit, AncientGaruru gets hit by this. I feel like there are other decks that isn't Fenri that I'm more concerned about hitting over that deck tbh, like Magnamon, Yellow Vaccine to spin off that, or Imperialdramon. I do think there's something to be said about these decks as well, but eventually you have to draw a line somewhere right? Yes Bandai doesn't like their OTK decks, (give ya boy back his Gran promo PLEASE LOL) but at the same time, I really think this deck isn't a problem until maybe some further support. HPD deserves to be banned because it was a design mistake, free evolution as we are seeing right now is not healthy which is why it was limited. With higher impacting cards that give more free value, a card like HPD only becomes more problematic to design around. Green is bad because of cards like HPD and the need to always keep it in mind. That is why their megas have the highest evolution costs compared to every other color. It is easier to get rid of it so green can be good.

@@Xanitsu I disagree. Part of Greens identity has always been reducing evo costs. So inherently they cost more than normal because they have the most tools to reduce evo costs. I highly doubt the dev team worries about a 1 of HPD in a 50 card deck when they are designing new green cards.

@@arlantis But that is what is making the card even more broken is the fact that they are slowly getting away from designing around it so when it is seen it has even more impact than it reasonably should as a card. It is still so good you cannot build a green deck without it still which is a problem. one of the biggest issues with digimon and why they hit cards is when cards ruin the tempo of the game. MDF is banned because of that and HPD doing the same thing for green should be banned as well because its impact will only grow over time even at 1.

Avian trait as a target to grab back with yokomon if you're running it. Muchomon also doesn't always need to be the one attacking to get the card draw, making it more flexible. Also, looking at a lot of JP builds, they never used guilmon, so that must mean something.

@@Xanitsu yeah but you are almost never attacking with gotsumon. So you’re basically only drawing with it if you’re attacking with itself. I’ll give you the yokomon though. They probably didn’t play it because they forgot about it. They usually don’t have a lot of time to figure formats out.

Not to also mention that promo Guilmon only really works with EX2 Gigi, so this build has more flexibility with their rookie choices

I don't know if this deck is going to get hit by the ban and restriction list. After BT18 I doubt it get any more direct support for a long time and if ukkomon gets hit that will hit this deck too.

Red Hybrid has kind of same thing but more of a swing with piercing instead of bouncing, but if Ukko gets hit you can still run promo guilmon that’ll give two draws, and there’s also a blue base variant that is more consistent but slow with the draw engine

To be fair the Koji line was ass since its inception so its a fair buff

that space is being taken up by digimon Emperor. So to play Matt, just take Emperor out.

I have seen the judge tech as well as Zoe. They are usually a 1 of and are not bad. I build most of my YT decks, trying to keep a more generalized version and while I like Matt for where the meta is I think Emperor is too good to not run as he helps in so many match ups vs just having a slightly higher ceiling in your play lines.

This does different things than numemon after playing both. The ukkomon package I am not a personal fan of and the deck can be played without them it just will look a little different on how the low end functions (mostly using either flamemon or strabimon). But I cannot wait for that ban and restriction update.

Strabi can be anything you want. I just am using him to find Lobo or Matt.

Deck builder sets are what EX sets should be more like, not only do they both introduce new decks/strategies but only deck builder sets actually reprint cards to go along with the new decks/strategies. Does one of the new archtypes have Machines? Here's a bunch of GOOD support that already exists so you can build the deck right now.

Lana has more flexibility. She has easier jamming because she doesn't need Koji. Stacking an extra inheritable could also lead to more card draw. Kendo is not actually a garurumon. The only real benefit to kendo is the stats and the ability to be used in a xros. In testing, I rarely ever crossed because it was cheaper and more beneficial to Evo from promo Lobo with how the rest of the deck works.

yeah there is no really good way around digimon emperor outside of splashable tamer hate or have enough memory gain to ignore him. Similarly it's just like how there is no good way around valk ace, shine ruin, venus, or anything that can disrupt your raising plays or when evolving effects.
