My left ear really enjoyed that
InputSilver9 rofl!
You alright
Mine too
Thanks, didn't realize I had my headphones on backward!
sure
Awesome that these bands still play today.. Almost ALL of them. Proves how timeless metal is.
kevgor138 Amon doesn't
Amon is Deicide.
Skyclaw still sucks
Skyclaw typical braindead death metal response
They play cause they sold their soul and can't stop. They chose their fate.
"Death Metal is taking something a step forward, although I don't know how much further it can go from where it is now."
Norwegians took that as a challenge.
Poor dead:(
Also slam brutal death metal
Actually death metal is way heavier than black metal
@@somethingsomething9008 its probably heavier but regular death metal not blackened death, the music himself is not dark at all while black metal is dark

So glad I grew up with in this era, such a great scene!
Looks like it wasn't just a passing phase after all , almost 40 years later and DEICIDE is STILL my favorite band ever
It's SO cliched, but Deicide was the most influential music of high school for me, along with Metallica and Pantera. I still loves those feelings I have when I listen to "I Am No One" and remember then.
@@IllustriousCrocoduck Deicide,Morbid Angel,Obituary,Metallica,Slayer,Pantera and Seputura just to name a few was all I listened to 30 years ago. I’m 46 years old now and still listen to all of it. Oldies but goodies. Death metal will never die.
"And what is your last name?
..Glen Benton" His soul was consumed when he spoke his name.
This has got to be one of the most bizzare and surreal things I have ever seen. Nothing could be more weird than Betty and Marge from quill club sitting around discussing DEATH METAL!!!??? So hilarious! And that guy introducing them, what a hoot. Completely different worlds!
Those 3 handmade BC RICH's they have at the end. Beautiful.
Wow, I just realized Glen looked just like Peter Steele back then...
true!
And mike patton
How did they end up on that particular TV show in the second half of the video? I'm guessing the guy in the tux who looks like Penguin owed them some coke money or something.
Love it. "I dont condone people killing themselves but on the next album I do." Decide Rules
Glen Benton is truly a legend .
Death metal rules
Glen Benton was right. He's still here
That laugh though XD
Yea, and he’s still the pun of the joke. As he’s always been.
@@idontmind5815 hes known around the world and people still buy his records.
What have you done?
Benton is still here, but what about that lady? 🤔
Deicide had a different look than most death metal bands in Florida, who used to wear common clothes, while Deicide was dressing up as "warriors", and personally, I think that's pretty cool!
Intro song Assuck-october revolution
iv been lisining to death metal for about 20 plus years alot has changed but one thing is for sure it isnt going anywhere...just rock n roll to me
I remember those days of glory when I got my first death metal cd: Butchered at Birth from Cannibal Corpse, and that's how I got myself into death metal music. So terrific, hell yeah!!!!
Probly death leprosy and obituary slowly we rot....maybe morbid angel altars of madness!
My first death medal cd too!
I love Glen's technique
I'll never forget when I bought that first album when it came out In 1990. Been a fan since.
Glen Benton even admits now in interview that worshipping the devil was all gimmick, even though he took it seriously back then. I saw an article where he and the lead singer from Mortification were getting along fine backstage and as soon as Glen found out his band was Christian, he freaked out and started pulling punches. haha.. What a weasel!
Yeah man it was all part on the entertainment
When I was 12 I thought this band was crazy as hell but now at 24 I see through the act and dress up and it's all cringe pretending to be evil and wicked
I wonder if people thought Screamin Jay Hawkins was a real witch doctor to?
It isn't a gimmick. How can you think writing lyrics that glorify Satan isn't worshipping him? Just because he isn't a member of the golden dawn or a church of Satan member (which he probably is but denies it) or an outright luciferian (which are all synonyms by the way) doesn't mean he isn't worshipping the devil. You're either with Jesus or against him. If you're against him who's side are you on?
Now he's Gleenie Bentonia..🤣🤣🤣
3:45 I don't promote anybody killing themselves, not yet, second record would!! hahahaha Deicide rules \m/
🙈🙈🙈🙈
Tampa, FL. (Ybor City); remember it well..
1988...Мне 7 лет.... через 20 я начну их слушать...и до сих пор...33 года как с куста....
I still remember the day I bought that cd,,,first half was the garage version,, second half the studio,,fucking brilliant,, then the name change,, Legion,, one of the best cd's I've ever bought,,legend
Feasting the Beast!!
I still remember the first time I heard Deicide.
theres no way satan won't be stoked when glen benton gets to hell lol
oh im sure he wont.
"Where were you at the age of 32... on earth being a hypocrite."
^^^ what he said
Dude made some money and was able to get some women and decided "I don't think self-delete sounds like a great idea anymore."
THE IMAGE OF MAN W/ TUXEDO BESIDE GLEN WAS HILARIOUS
I love how the the host of this show referred to punk rock as being a "passing fad."
Never
tbone2872 dont lie to yourself.
SirVladHarkonen Punk isn't dead; it just lost its acceleration.
No it's not dead, it grew up and became grindcore.
Punk is dead, but we don't care.
The first show was almost like an infomercial, very positive vibe lol
I love it when someone tries to air a metal band and the EQ is all washed out, but in that little spot inside you, you know what that band actually sounds like. Sometimes shit, but sometimes magnifico!
a truly sweet clip! Great to see David, Glenn, the others and the fans from back in the day!
0:59 GOD DAMN HE LOOKS LIKE JAMES HETFIELD
Oh, didn't you know about James' Death Metal side project?
@@stoopidhaters lmao
that early deicide(amon) footage is some RARE shit. many thanks!
Ah, those were the days. Back when there used to be a roadie on either side of the stage to help you up so you could get the stage dives in and the band's would come hang out and get shitfaced after the gig.
Nowadays even a little crowd surfing is asking to get thrown out of some venues.
Thanks to the broadcaster lady. Wild...
Thank you John Diaz jr for being my dad and for introducing me to this artform rip dad for making me listen to a music where there is no boundaries where u can vent your anger happiness and sadness in one song or one album
I have the song Sacrificial Suicide...I never believed it was actually Glen Benton doing vocals until now.
up until now, 2021
I should really grab a sample of that bowtie guy saying Glen's name very deliberately...maybe use it for a ringtone or something.
Ça rappel le bon vieux temps 🎼🤘🇫🇷🎼🤘
Im still here, ilĺ always be here!
What I really want to know is how did Deicide get on PBS?🤔
Because the people in media are also satanic
@@deeno4919 probably u see the devil in coke too
felicio lucas Well, now that you mention it . These satanic corporations that design logos for products have design the Coca Cola label which is in Arabic. The cursive writing (which came from Arabic writing ) in Coca Cola if written the name backwards is an Arabic word that means no Muhammad no Mecca . In other words no God
@@deeno4919 ok you are idiot
@@deeno4919 i'm brazilian and there is a lot of idiots that thinks coke means "alo diabo" in english it means "hey demon"
I love death metal music
this is incredible!!!!! true history of death metal!
I never thought I could watch this in my life..... thanks for uploading it!!!
May his spirit live on through his music!
They are still brutality until now awesome !!
Got to give the tv show some credit for actually letting this happen. If an awesome death metal band like Amon/Deicide played on a local morning talk show here in Central Illinois...people would still be be talking about it 30 years later in disbelief (things like that never happen around here!!). To see two suburban white-bread moms on a morning talk show talking about the local death metal scene is just bizarre (but strangely entertaining at the same time). Still...I prefer to keep death metal 'underground'.
Growing up in the 80's I never thought I'd still be goin to death metal shows in 2023. Also never thought death metal would outlive & outgrow glam metal, standard heavy metal, punk, grunge & rap-rock...
i wouldn't be able to live without DEATH METAL it's amazing cant get enough!
Now i see what chuck meant in his interview
At 3:43 seconds I laughed my ass off. Glen Benton is a legend!
Thanks For posting this!
wow thanks for sharing
Amon~ Gwar and Kiss fusion band ;~)
1:46, why is Corey Taylor here, did he time travel?
+Jason Robinson lol yea what he is doing here ?
+Jason Robinson WTF hahahaha, who is that guy?!
Jajajaja
Jason23_6 Fuckofflastname who?
He was born I 73 so
man... this is so awesome I can't think straight!
This video is amazing!
lmao the crowd must have been like "WTF...." when they were playing Sacrificial Suicide
David Vincent from Morbid Angel
is God.
@@Mitchery stupid boy😂
That was fucken awesome! Thanks for posting!!
Thx a lot for that vid :)
Es muy difícil para la mayoría entender éste genero
No hay que entenderlo, hay que sentirlo. Disfrutar las potencia de los riffs y ritmos, sentir el extasis.
Glen looks like he just back from a motocross rally:) Still pretty freakin badass tho;)
Sacrificial suicide! I love that song
I left my hometown Florida, just as Florida became to pop off, moving to Maryland, I got to grow up and party with the next generation of Dying Fetus 🤘
1:59 look at that dude's eyes!
"and what they're saying isn't pretty" 😂😂😂😂
i feel like any news reporter said this about any heavy music genre that was popping back then
The fucking Hoffman Brothers!! My second favorite guitar duo!
great video man!!!!!
0:14 Maude Flanders :p
4:37 is one of the most absurd things captured on film
Bihl Cosbi This entire video is a fucking gem, but that part definetly takes the cake.
Ahhh, the good ol' days.
HELL YEA! TONIGHT!!
Death Metal will never die.Dethcore and all that shit is a fad that will soon pass.
Welp you were wrong😂
Ridley Vernon HAHAHAHA
"a few original tunes" lol
changed my life ,i love the sinisterness of it
Just saw Deicide last night in my hometown,Albany NY
It was fucking insane
Cool to stumble across this. I'd say Deicide are "Black Death Metal" because of the subject matter. Just "Death Metal" doesn't seem to give their music the overall description that it deserves.
I was complimenting their evil-insane nature.
black death metal band could be belphegor, but not deicide. they are as you already say, regular death.
9.11 video length lol
Awsome....
My left ear enjoyed listening to this.
something about those two women makes me shudder in disgust
ha ha he was right death metal defintly stepped backwards
cunts cant listen
ChaosTrident so you support fascism?
This is rare stuff.
I just responded with a Deicide video from Melbourne's Channel 31, community tv. It features 2 live tracks from their Melbourne 1995 show as well as an interview with Glen.
best video on youtube.
ive seen morbid angel over 10x... never cancelled.
ive bought tickets 5x for deicide. 3x cancelled. blow me deicide
.ki h tngen come
Glen knew you were coming and thought:"Fuck it! Barbara Walters is too much for me! We're cancelling again guys!"
Barrie McAllister haha :D
and Barbaras picture looks more like a Barrys!
punk music a passing fad???
Great Song.....The best one off of the first album.
Wow! cool!
Glen Benton's gayness drove me to Christianity.
Hans Josef
Benton has more metal in his ingrown fucking toenail than your entire family bloodline.
Im a (non-religion) Christain and I love Deicide. Shut the fuck up. 😂😂 Glen is awesome.
As we see here, the 700 Club attacking death metal. Funny, this is okay but if you call out the criminals...the REAL criminals that do gangsta rap...that is not allowed because some segment will cry racism and "attack on out culture." So they admit crime is their culture?? Anyhoo, watch a form of metal I love get attacked. All I know is I would sooo love to get these two blondes back "on the wagon." LOL LOL
8:09 visual effects at it's finest!
I remember when this was first aired.....wow
IMMORTAL
metal forever
this should be on history channel
super times :)
First time I ever heard Of DEICIDE was on the Bob Larson, 1990, scary shit back then, Glen Benton was a new thing to me, he interested me though, I'm attracted to powerful noisy fast music, it's power for sure, it affects people, music is powerful
yeaaah !! \w/
this video is pure metal
I love underground metal. So many sick bands, but you have to look for 'em.
