i really hope that when getting new weapons they aren't floating holograms like in doom eternal, like in doom 2016 when getting a new weapon you would always find them laying around on corpses or weapon crate when you look for secrets or follow the main story.
So the slayer has a shoulder-mounted canon again, in the trailer when they show the skill tree there is "Turret input" written, might be that! And they probably simplified the shield and the melee weapons to one keybinding each so that it won't be to much with the turret i guess 🤔
The Void Slayer skin and collector's edition statue also have the shoulder cannon! Seems like it's either a late game upgrade or something they're just not ready to fully show off yet, hard to tell at the moment
In Doom 3 there was a race of humanoids on Mars that fought the hell forces with one specific warrior using the soul cube. What if that race is the sentinels and the waririor is dokmguy

That's actually very likely! We know that the Sentinels traveled across the universe and even between dimensions after gaining access to Maykr technology, so it's entirely possible that they ended up on Doom 3's Mars at some point

I’m super hyped for this game but I’m kinda worried that the dark ominous tone from 2016 will be absent here like eternal. The dark atmosphere is my favorite thing about 3 and 2016. That aside, this is gonna be peak

It’s not a Doom 3 continuation like I was hoping (Let’s face it, that was super unlikely anyway) but it has the feel and the mechanics that I was hoping for, in the event of that game actually coming to fruition It’s slower, and instead focuses on power. Instead of being ultra-colorful and fast, it’s slow and tank-like. It’s a lot grimmer and has that “hell yeah” quality to it It feels so classic, yet so different, just like Doom 3 did. Might pick up an Xbox just to play this and GTA VI

Id like to see some more classics too like the pinky, cacodemon, and the classic revenant (from doom 2) which was one of my favorite enemies because of the slow projectile. Also hope the archvile gets a redesign different from doom eteranal, like many monsters from DE it was just way too cartoony
Is it just me or when they were showing the dragon miniboss it almost looks like the doom 3 caco maybe its a pain elemental im excited to see what they look like
Seems to be a highly evolved version of the standard Dark Ages cacodemon, which may also be a distant relative of the Doom 3 cacos. We'll find out in a few months!

Likely the armor was damaged, because remember the "wretch" is the one who gives him the armor later on so its likely somewhere in the game or the dlc story we'll see who the wretch is
Only thing is please let glory kills be more then just kicks aside from that this game is Insane and has so much more that we won't see until we play the game
I agree :( I'm scared for glory kills, new doom seriously will not be or even feel the same without them. One of the gameplay trailers has one with the shield saw decapitating a demon which makes me hope that maybe they're keeping them hidden until the game drops, and then they'll blow eternal gks out of the water
It just wouldn't make any sense for them to be all "glory kills can be approached from all angles. The player has full control over them.". And then it's just the same kick and ragdoll in 4 different directions

While we'll all miss the dedicated glory kill animations, this was done so that the combat can flow more smoothly, so I think most people will come to appreciate it when the game launches

There's actually two official reasons for the change in demon appearances between games. Demons naturally evolve over time and adapt to new threats, like how Doom 2016's Summoner is canonically a highly-evolved version of the modern Imp. Demons also change depending on which region of Hell they originated from. A good example of this is the modern Barons, Eternal's version has molten skin because it comes from a "caustic, scorched hellscapes bordering the Burning Abyss"
I’m hoping Hugo will go on more interviews about the game. They were super fun to watch when Eternal was coming out.

It's not impossible, but it seems pretty unlikely as it's just a regular titan with armor
Could the worlds beyond be the worlds of quake it would be good if you briefly visited the world of quake in the game
