Loto Beach in Saint Florent (also called Lodo Beach, Lodu or Lotu) is located in the Agriates desert. This beach stretches to a small bay with 400 meters of fine white sand bordering a beautiful maquis. The turquoise water is one of the purest in Corsica (although many boats come to this beach in summer). This is the ideal place to swim, sunbathe or explore the seabed. The shallow waters are perfect for children.
This beach is totally wild. No hotel, no private beach, no restaurant, not even a hut! So do not forget your picnic and especially some water.
Loto Beach is not within walking distance (only through the coastal path - about 4:45). It is better to use sea shuttles from St Florent harbour (June to September), which have connections several times a day within 30 minutes. From this beach one can access Saleccia Beach (a 45-minute walk from the inner path, 1:30 by the coastal path). There is a trail to reach this beach by four-wheel drive from Casta (D81 - path on the right indicating Saleccia 3:30 on foot - a hut in Saleccia is also indicated). The road is very bad and one can only cross it in a four-wheel drive (had to make the end on foot).
