    Not a demand, just a pov from a fan: your works are amazing but I think you would reach a wider audience if you did more step-by-step video tutorials as these attract beginners and intermediates alike. The current videos you produce are a mix between educational and entertaining, which is not wrong but when I watch your videos it feels like I am there to be entertained, not specifically educated. I know you want to capture the fun side of education but sometimes I think it is a little overboard. Thank you for everything. I have learned a lot from your videos and i hope to continue learning.

      @@samhamsord7942 That’s not a healthy perspective imo. I’ve definitely felt that before, but what keeps me going is hearing industry professionals discuss how they felt they’d never be good enough for decades sometimes. If you work hard and strive to improve, your time will come.

    • @samhamsord7942
      @samhamsord7942 2 роки тому

      @@Jham3D Nah, I have different way. I decided learning it only when I realized exactly what I want to do with it - make adult animations. In that field, it doesn't takes all that much skill as it would in professional CGI. And having 4 years of very lazy work behind, I have all the skills I need to start doing epic stuff and improve as I go, somehow I always do. Problem is, can't say this work can be exactly a hobby. Even though I naturally like working with polygons, textures, shaders, somehow bothering that things don't turn out as perfect as you want them to be makes me always force myself to actually go and work on my projects, being a gamer means I don't see Blender as the best way to spend time. Idk, perhaps when I have a bit more skill I'll enjoy it more. Cause now I don't like even looking back at my work, cause I just don't think I made it good enough. (I remember when I was scared of nodes, now I just build huge trees of nodes to get some effects).
      So I think I face same problems as other artists - you can't really enjoy if you aren't sure you are making a great job, and that takes years to achieve. Unless though you make some simple stuff that doesn't takes much time to get good at. But 3D isn't the field anymore where you can be successful with knowing only a few things and skills. And I fell sorry for those that just don't know what to do and aim for some kind of top that takes... decades for fuck sake to get to. Also doing things like daily/weekly challenges.. gosh, what a waste. I only spend time doing things that I know people will appreciate and pay for. Idk, it feels complicated even though I have everything as good as it can be, but those other guys.. not knowing what you aim for and when you will get there.. gosh, such a mess. I mean somehow there is so much people in this field that you can't make simple things and make a living with it, it is a race to be great now, that's messed up. The only ones that make it to the top are actually the guys that enjoy this stuff. That's what allows them to make a insanely long way to success that any other person wouldn't make unless they love it.

    • @novusstudios1744
      @novusstudios1744 2 роки тому +1

      @@samhamsord7942 well that's usually the basics, its not a field you should invest your time in if you dont enjoy it, because then it will negatively affect your look on things and your progress

Entering contests: I have just begun to do that, and since then, I have covered more ground and experimented with more of Blender's tools in the last few months than I did in the last few years. That was a pretty good joke with the Christmas lights. I often have a similar thought: If there are those awful or tedious moments of your life where you wish you could just magically fast-forward... you have to go through whatever it is you would be fast-forwarding anyway, in order to have the 'footage' to fast-forward through. So, you might as well make the most of every moment- and maybe make any changes and jump-cuts in post-production.
