- After clocking a Seasons Best time of 11.00s in the 100m at Welklasse Zurich on Thursday, Elaine Thompson-Herah caught up with us to discuss the struggles she overcame for us to see her compete at her first diamond league meet of the season.
I think it’s safe to say that she’s back though & we love that for her!

This may be a mission impossible for her because she is ageing fast and the younger athletes are really overtaking her. She doesn't have the strength she used to have before. If i were her i tetire honorably now before being disgraced by the coming young athletes.

@@datname1939 Let's wait and she right now Shericka is in the form of her life and is definitely the one to beat over 200m but what I can say if Elaine continues to improve her times and gets back her best my money is on Elaine all day everyday but let's just wait and see how things will unfold.

I have never stopped believing in her abilities, and pray that she doesn't stop either. One thing that I would love her to do more, is at the end of her races,be more friendly to her fellow athletes. Don't wait for them to come to you, please go ahead and give them a hug.

That's what she lacks and that is affecting her drastically. Fellow fans that still believe that shemake any impact in the sprint races have better forget it because age is no longer on her side. She should leave now for the younger athletes when the ovation is loudest.
That is not nice to say she should leave now for the younger ones .Elaine was young also 4 yrs ago she was only 27 yrs because of injury she couldn't be her best.Why should she give up she can carry on few years before she retires. I have a feeling Shericka (Coach Francis) will be doing the 400m/200m double in Paris 2024
Quite frankly, no one can come close to a fully fit and healthy Elaine in either the 100m or 200m.
I agree with the 100 but I don't think Elaine has the endurance over 200 like Shericka. She can challenge Shericka but I don't believe she can beat her, atleast not easily
Shericka is building history - the goal was to win double double 100m and 200m - She has to work on 100m to beat Sha Carri
The 400m will be after the outcome of Paris 2024

@lornalewis7262 and of you knew anything you'd know that Elaine didn't have a proper coach for the past year and a half. She just got a proper coach, so there's no medicine it's proper coaching.

Yes you are correct, but this your idolized ETH can not make it to gold again. She is old and can not be strong as she used to be. More over she is too jealoeosy and never believed in any other person that can perform well than her. She believed too much in herself and that is why she is lacking behind. Remember that a more determined athlete than her just managed to win bronze medal in the just concluded world championship at Budapest.

Chronic injuries doesn’t means that it cannot flare up - so it’s to home for the best
Do you recall last year SFP didn’t make a race when they thought it was hamstring issues… she had knee injuries which impacted her performance..
She has an injury that has been plaguing her for years. Her previous coach said sometimes she can't even walk.
Injury are never fully resolved! Just have train and good therapy!
