I have watched a few episodes and like how it is developing. The characters are becoming more complex and interesting. Almost a good as NCIS - Hawaii but not nearly as good as the original with ZIVA and ABBY.

Fair enough. I've seen at least some of all NCIS shows with the exception of Hawaii which I haven't gotten around to yet. Thanks for watching my review. If you enjoy what I do here please consider subbing.

I have tried to watch the other versions of NCIS but didn’t like them. When I saw the icon for NCIS Sydney, I decided to try it. I watched every episode so far and can’t wait to see the next episode. It is a home run. I really like it so far.

    Thanks for the review!
NCIS broke my heart when they lost Kate... and yet I watched if for almost 10 years after that. Los Angeles, New Orleans and Hawaill were law of diminishing returns applied to TV consumption.
And yet... I am going to give Sydney a chance as well. I don't think I'm willing to grant such privilege to any procedural this side of CSI.

The original NCIS early years still the best of the lot I think. I agree that the others have been diminishing returns.

I never seen the Kate era. NCIS really came into its own when Ziva was there. Seasons 3-10 was the golden age of that show and I haven't watched it since Ziva left.

@@kendallrivers1119 That's fair assessment I think. Personally, I could barely watch the show until after Ari got offed. God, how I hated that guy. Granted, that character was pretty well crafted and, sadly, even relevant as of 2023.

I’ll probably pass on this, but I enjoyed your review. I watched NCIS back in the early days. I guess I’m old fashioned in my show choices. I’m a fan of the old school Detective Shows like Rockford Files. Today everything is either FBI or NCIS. I’m a fan of the Solo star shows with a few supporting characters. Thanks for your review. Im glad they are trying something different.

Yeah, so far, I'm watched 2 episodes and just started the 3rd, what stands out are these Negatives: Writing is lackluster and Sophomoric. Vibe between actors somewhat awkward. Olivia Swann's Character is not likeable. Tuuli and LaChance are decent, the resident nerd/genius is a very good actor, Forensic Path is decent as well. Hire some better writers, kill off Swann, and get someone who's a better fit.

I need to get my check box casting bingo card out before I watch this. It’s like Chad GPT created the perfectly balanced (for Americans anyway) mix of skin tones for the casting.

If they can make a show with a straight white make character who is NOT there to be diminished, humiliated, emasculated and mocked, primarily by his “diverse” partner, I’d be very impressed.

I wouldn't go that far. They attempted to do that but what I noticed is that even though the American woman is kind of a girl boss at times, the Aussie guy doesn't just fold. She needs his help too because he's local and has knowledge she doesn't at times. I guess what I'm saying is that based on the pilot, it seems a bit more balanced. Maybe because it was initially meant for Aussie audiences.
