- Today we’re covering the amazing Misato Katsuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Boasting the rank of captain, she’s the risk taking director at Nerv plus she’s a great shot. While a remake has been made, I’ll be focusing on the original for today. With that it's time for us to get in the robot and go over my reasons why Misato Katsuragi is Waifu Material.

She is definitely the most interesting character and the one person who constantly think about when you think about the show, Neon Genesis Evangelion. I personally, loved her compassion and care over Shinji. Especially in the episode when Shinji was trapped in Unit 1, she cried for him to return and he did probably because of his mother Yui, who returned him to her.
This was the video I was waiting for. The moment her theme played when she took Shinji back to her apartment and ate together cemented her as best girl during the 90's and in the modern age too.
5:36 "rerouting all of Japan's electricity into a single location" -- a recipe for self destruct, as Japan has two incompatible electricity grid.

Oh yes the adult waifu I came to love the moment I realized she needs a hug. Then the curiosity got to the better of me and I realized oh she's basically sailor moon, Rinko from Gundam Build Fighters, Murrue from Gundam Seed and Hancock from One Piece in Japanese. So yeah she is definitely a keeper even if she has a whole lot of emotional baggage.

The MILF is the best choice if only the shortest choice if you consider what happens later. Also, she's a part of a somewhat dying trope of the drunken harlot. Should note the reason she hides her age is due to how women in Japan after the age of I think 25-27 who don't have a man at that point, consider themselves too old to date with how worked to the bone it all is. I'm only staring to realise why I watch these waifu episodes cause of my choice to soon watch Evangelion, the remake obviously cause I'm not watching the original cause it's outdated but maybe in the future I will watch the old one, but I will watch the remake for now... :)
The original is almost universally held in higher regard though.

Also the original isn't outdated
both are quite different from each other. 1.11 and 2.22 are sorta summaries then the story changes a bit in 3.33 onwards so its hard to compare. The feel of the original is better imo
