I didn't ''hate'' OG Ashley, but I did find her stupidly annoying. How the hell did Capcom manage to make her such a beautiful and lovable character now? She literally couldn't be better.

Most beautiful game character in recent memory, at least to me, she is.
It was Rosemary Winters for me, that angelic face is mesmerizing. But her real life face model has gotten kinda chubby after that sadly, you can barely recognize her anymore

@@Raiden_Solid well its intentional from the developers side, Leon rejects Ada but flirts with Ashley. in the remake canon Leon is not a simp. good move imo, the relationship was toxic and they had zero chemistry anyway. making leon's character growth separate from Ada is more impactful.

You forgot the part when she asked for Luis and when Leon told her that "he was worried for her 'til the end," she said "For Luis" and held Leon's hand tightly as they move forward. 🥺
I like how they removed the "overtime" dialogue at the end. Not because we live in 2023 and twitter users are to be feared, but because it removes Leon rejection to Ashley, leaving things open between them. Their bond develops in such a sweet way in the remake, and our boy Leon deserves better than Ada.
While Chris might not be happy with the possibility of Leon and Ashley, a lot of us are. Also, agreed that Leon should just forget about Ada. She might like him a bit, but it is unlikely that it will develop more than that.
PS. Leon should pick another (or all of them) instead of focusing on Ada.
Well actually they might have removed it from the game but it's still in the challenges
They do still have her asking to be with him, and him pretty much saying no.
I like the elevator dialogue between them because I saw a potential for Ashley to be so inspired by Leon that she actually does train (with the idea of being with Leon of course) and Capcom to bring her back eventually, that’d be nice.
Just before visiting the chief's mansion, when the player hunts for the stray wolf, Ashley says she just wants to go home. Near this same location, earlier in the game, Leon makes it a point to remark on the quality of the village chief's residence. After defeating Saddler and their escape from the island, Ashley expresses disappointment that her time together with Leon might be over, but Leon corrects her, saying, "mission accomplished, when you're home safe," and when they ride off into the sunset, he says again to Ashley "let's go home." This fade away is cut to Hunnigan's frustrated attempts to reach Leon via communicator and then followed by an extravagant, fairy tale end credits, set in, of all places, the open window of the village chief's bedroom. I don't know. Seems pretty intentional to me. That legendary overtime may now be canon, after all.
Remake Ashley is great. She's not a fighter, she doesn't have a sudden girlboss moment where she beats 70 zombies with one hit with kung fu she was hiding.
In fact, they didn't necessarily add anything drastic, just removed the annoying and useless parts of her character. So the fact that she is a bit more useful makes her feel MASSIVELY more useful when you remove the moments she is completely and utterly useless.
Contrast... It's one helluva drug.
also, the relationship between Ashley and Leon actually grows in this remake compared to the original.
The voice acting was much better too, Godfhat old Scream “LEAAAOAOOOON” was annoying
God. Leon, in the remake you’re not chasing after Ada. So, you should work toward becoming the president’s son in law.

Legit hope we see more of her, maybe not as an Agent but in her free time maybe picked up a few fighting skills inspired by or trained by Leon, somewhere close to Claire's level. Enough for her to be in a new Resident Evil game and be Playable.

What I luv about her Remaked Self is that she has genuine sympathy for Leon as the OG Ashley was kind of a jerk and made fun of him like most of the time but here shes innocent and naive but she gets braver as the game goes on and she finds confidence in herself and ends up saving Leon a few times. Not to mention she has a talent for lock picking in this version of the game. Even Leon says she has potential to be a possible member of STARS.
The old one's are bratty and a jerk because that's who she is , She's the president daughter and act like a spoiled brat most of the time , which not saying it's true but you do feel like that's the stereotypes for rich girl in many media for a long time and feeling like shooting her many times and just left her for how jerk she can be but can't, is a feeling everyone can agree on.
She's not all bad though because she did help leon a couple of times in OG
The new ones is like the video said, a waifu material, she's not bratty but naive , she's like a kid going on an adventure for a first time, they didn't buff her a lot though because she can get out of that bear trap and jumping from such heights without breaking some bone, that's not how a normal person can do. But if i had to choose between the old and the new one in which i like to escort,i say the new ones but in terms of which gives me the most feeling,i probably go for the old ones.

@@somedudewhodraws9377 nope, both are depicted as a different type of person, i am just saying that bratty and jerk Ashley is believable as you as player feel how hard is it to escort somebody like that, this remake while does have it's problem with the AI ,the story depicted her as more loveable character and something who you really would protect even if she's not the president daughter. Let just say if she's not the president daughter in the OG, and he isn't incline to save her, She be left to become a zombie for all he care, the Remake one, if she's not the president daughter, you can see Leon going all his way to save her because of how loveable she is

Always felt the Ada/Leon thing as some flirtation that end badly and was going nowhere, after the Remake I was surprised to see how many people took it seriously, but for me it was kinda easy to take Ashley as a more viable option 🤷🏻♀️

For the longest of time, I thought that RE6 Ada was the most beautiful and cutest waifu in RE.

Fans of the original, like me, will want THIS Ashley on that game for sure. Too bad they have removed some bits of content, but the new Ashley sure makes up for it. I remember people hated Ashley in the original RE4 release of 2005. Ella Freya was able to make the entire fanbase of RE4 change their opinion and now Ashley is one of the most beloved characters of the franchise, dare I say the most.
Don't forget Genvieve and the writers!

As a guy, i like her cause she's very feminine. She's cooperative, she follows your lead, she supportive of you and above all, she doesn't nag which makes for a perfect wife. Plus, i liked how she was afraid but at the same time willing to be brave in stressful situations especially when she was on her own.

@@alejandrasanchez3022 no, a woman (nor a man) can lead and be feminine at the same time cause in order to lead, you gotta have certain traits and characteristics about you i.e being dominant, being decisive, being assertive, being authoritative, being able to command, being non agreeable, being aggressive etc. These are all masculine traits and that's exactly what ada is like. You can't just call somebody feminine when all their doing is displaying masculine traits. Also, the things that women find attractive in a man (masculine traits) aren't the things men find attractive in a woman. That's how attraction works so if a girl wants to be bossy, masculine and a leader, she needs to understand that most guys aren't going to wanna be with her and the same logic applies to a guy who wants to act and be feminine around women. Most women are just not gonna find that very attractive. Simple as that.

Uhhhh, they didn't model anything from the voice actress. The face model, the body model and the voice actress are all different people. The actual VA is genevieve buechner, while Ella Freya is just the face model.

Ashley is 100% as cute and a button. But she's definitely as capable in stressful situations as she is cute while still being a normal human.
I would brave the Village to rescue RE4R Ashley Graham. This version of Ashley is in the latest of the "Royal X Bodyguard ships" that I like. (Ashley is the president's daughter and not a princess but the concept stays the same.)
1st of all oh my God you're back and 2nd of all yes I love remake Ashley. She is instantly way better than how she was in the original and while I still do stand by the fact that even the original I would definitely smash there were times where she was a bit annoying. This one you actually want to keep her safe she's helpful, she's very cute, still very attractive and to top it all up you can't be mad at a girl who's able to work a wrecking ball. Capcom has been killing it with these remakes when it comes to side characters because Ashley is way better in this game much like how Sherry was way better in 2 remake or how Carlos was way better in 3 remake. Overall remake Ashley is just fantastic and I do hope that we get to see her again along with Leon. Great job although thanks to a few moments later, I will always remember that OG Ashley was voiced by the same woman who is Sandy cheeks from spongebob lol. Again fantastic work!
I love the original but the ending was wtf to me because she looked like a kid even though they say she's 20 and leon being 27. Here I can completely say bye to Ada and yes to Ashley because they looked like a couple by the end. And here she indirectly says she wants to date him and leon respectfully rejecting while also complementing her was so sweet. I can definitely see her training herself and becoming the 5th lead female character in the re universe.

Ever since I've beaten RE4 remake I was hoping she would replace Leon's partner girl in RE6 if they made a remake for it.

Ashley was such a gem in this game. Capcom did such a great job at making me want to protect this bundle of joy with my life.
What helped the most was that Leon and Ashley's dynamic was absolutely adorable; Leon felt like a big brother giving his everything to protect his little sister, and Ashley a little sister who wants to do whatever she can to help her big bro. It really recaptured that classic "make-do family" trope from early 2010s horror games like TWD with Lee and Clem, and TLOU with Joel and Ellie.

I REALLY HOPE THEY DO SOME REWRITING STORY IN RE6 LIKE I HOPE WE PLAY AS LEON AND ASHLEY IS HIS PARTNER... Capcom did put a waste on Ashley in the OG.. hope they don't do that now since New Ashley is fan favorite and also loveable character
I just finished the game last night, and I really enjoyed her character. Very rarely did she feel like a burden and even then, it was mostly during beginning portions of the game when I still had a negative perception of her. As the game went on, I found myself getting angry at myself for not being more efficient with enemies to protect her.
I'm mixed on whether or not I want to see her again. I feel like it would be very easy to ruin this character and am cautious to see her return. I feel the best method would be a smaller cameo/portion of a future game that show's that, yeah, she's not scared anymore. She can defend herself. Maybe not on the level of Leon or the members of S.T.A.R.S, but she doesn't need to run anymore.
One more thing: if she returns, she HAS to survive. Don't want to undermine the ending of this game.

The fact that the remake devs took one of the most disliked and burdensome characters in the franchise and made her into an adorable cinnamon roll that we all wanted to protect and take care of just speaks to how incredibly well done this game was. The moment that officially won me over was when you first get attacked by the knights and Ashely throws the blue fire lanterns at them and yells for them to leave you alone. I was kind of indifferent towards OG Ashley, I mostly just got annoyed when she got killed or carried off. But with remake Ashley, I would even feel bad when a villain was carrying her and I'd shoot him and she'd fall hard to the ground and wince in pain 🥺😭
Remake Ashley is 10/10, would rescue and protect again.

Remake Ashley is a great example of how to do a "Damsel in distress" right. She isn't just there to be a pretty trophy for the main hero and show off how cool he is. She actually has some personality and charm to her and, most importantly, makes you WANT to protect her.
I loved her in the original and she’s even better now.

I definitely love this version of Ashley Graham. In the remake, in my opinion, she got a massive upgrade. I saw the OG Ashley and it caused me great pain in my ears. With this Ashley, she's definitely someone I can relate to.

Well, maybe just do a game that takes place before the dlc.
@@gibleyman They're going to have to because the Rose DLC takes place in 2037 while all other RE games take place around the year the game drops (other than remakes obviously).
However it looks more like they're going to go down the path of remakes with how successful 2 and 4 were, hopefully Code Veronica and Zero are the next on the list.
They're doing Death Island though, that movie will surely be something lol
Man I really like the new Ashely, she sort of makes the game more soothing at times and the dialogues between Leon and her are really good too.
I think she may got a big adrenaline rush to put him on that chair, in order to save him.
