A perfect chess game always ends in a draw
you don't know that. If we knew, Chess would be solved. it is not.
But you might still be right :).
@@GiesllyWe can and do know it without chess needing to be solved. The starting position is too equal for there to be a forced win.
Actually a perfect game ends in white winning cause they got the first move
@@MrWicked360 very likely but it’s never been proven. For some people, they need a higher degree of certainty before considering something to be “known”
@@BobbyFischer0000 It's a scientific conclusion, not a mathematical one. So it will not be true until we can prove a forced win for the entire game tree of chess.
Poetically, what pawn is it that saves the King in the end? That's right: The King's Pawn
And funnily enough, that pawn started as an f-pawn.

Huge shoutout to Levy for letting us know that if you change the letter F in Fepper to P you get a spicy condiment. He’s really looking out for us
Is there some other letter that can be changed? I came here looking for this.
@@gopro25E to A
He said if you change one WORD in this.
Who knew, if you change one word in a one-word name, it means something entirely different!
What's wrong with Feppar?
I know most of the comments are jokes, but seriously thank you for doing UA-cam. You’ve made chess way more entertaining and accessible for people, and you taught me how to not suck as much at the game.
I hate the clickbait, but I love Gotham Chess videos :")

@@MrDetectiv-uw8vc What happens when Levy had no opponents to match with in the tournament?
"Nobody can win in five moves as long as the opponent doesn't, like, try to lose."
I feel personally attacked by this.
The white king’s last move is literally sitting on the black’s throne.
Gotham never fails to make us think he's quitting youtube
I play this video for this reason

3 minutes when length of the video is 24 minutes. Maybe he's actually quitting?

see you tomorrow
Is he dying or something?
"with the one pawn that survived the apocalypse"😂😂😂
I'm just surprisingly amazed that all 8 pawns survived till endgame time lol.
"Multiple mates in life cause confusion" Man's speaking from experience
To be fair to these players, I love this. This is the level at which chess is actually fun and creative, as opposed to memorising openings and arrangements.
That's the highest amount of copium I've seen
@@purplewine7362it is true though. High level chess is the farthest from creative. Creativity in chess is bad.
@@purplewine7362players “prepare” by memorizing their opponents tactics, which were made by them memorizing other games. I’m not saying there’s no new games played, but there definitely is a heavy memorization element in top level prep. Moreso than creative gameplay.
In general yes, but only because of opening knowledge. Mikhal Tal games are very creative and I know many other masters that play absurdly. Also topalov's games are often creative.@@masterofsorrow2699
Memorization is an integral part of chess, if you don't like it, don't expect to get better.
"The King and his eight Pawns", a truly amazing quote in my opinion. ❤
I actually found this commentary very instructive, I learned a lot
Fepper deserved a draw for playing good and even sacrificing his knight and winning all the enemy pawns.Fawaz to for letting his rook and bishop survive and not geting overran by pawns
Gotham asking for a patch on a 1500+ year old game will never not be hilarious 😂😂😂
Levy's the type of guy that when he comes into class 12 minutes late and the teacher asks him what the correct answer is, he gets it completely accidentally correct.
Title should be "Gotham losing his mind for 24 Minutes straight"
"If you change a word in that name, it would mean something totally different". Yeah, imagine if instead of Fepper, their name was Magnus.
As a 102 elo player, these dudes are geniuses
Hah! I used to be a 700 but then fell into the ‘imma make my own version of openings’ and fell to 150 lol I feel you now they seem like geniuses
Gotham never fails to say "Get outta here"
That game is like watching an 80's horror movie. Everyone watching is yelling nooooooooo!, but they people still walk into the bad situation and end up dead.
the universe was so disgusted with both of these fools it couldnt suffer either of them to win
I was really sceptical when he said the end would be movie-like, but in the last 5min I increasingly started laughing when finally the stalemate absolutely finished me off 😂
You are INCREDIBLE at improvising metaphors. Amazing job, great to see you doing well :)
I liked this episode of how to lose at chess, because it wasn't the standard fare of both sides just blundering a dozen pieces (although there was a bit of that) it was more big positional mistakes than anything. It makes for a much more entertaining game.
So basically this guy sacraficed his whole army to become a dead corpse, incredible stuff.
"Dead corpse"
That's deep
Literally
HOLYMOLY, you are a great story teller. I had goosebumps in the endgame. How beautiful. No wonder so many people watch you instead of official chess games, the Drama!

Levy never fails to say goodbye
He copied Rick Astley?!😨😨😨
Levy! Your book came in the mail today and I look forward to reading it and improving my game! Thank you for all that you do to make this game accessible to everyone.
This is some insane high quality content right here! Legit the funniest video I've seen in a while. Glad I decided to start learning chess last week, otherwise I would've missed out on this channel 🙏
What a storybook finish. A miraculous display of courage by the 8 surviving pawns. The leadership of the white King, taking initiative and walking up the board, all while sacrificing the same 8 pawns sworn to protect him with their lives!
Then we reach the climax of the story my good friends..and all we are left with is the very same sense of regret and the bitterness left on the tongue of Black, who had all the advantage and gave it all away, to those brave few pawns who stood in opposition to the regime. The melancholic feeling of relief and disappointment, no winners or losers; a stalemate of the ages.
A masterpiece encapsulated in time for us to forever remember. Bravo i say, Bravo. 👏 👏
"This is the end. My only friend, the end."

This game was truly the gift that kept on giving.
As a 900 elo player, I miss a lot of hanging queens because I just assume that my opponent isn't going to hang their queen, so I don't even bother checking if I can take it
ahah I love the way levy narrated the ending :) It was indeed like a movie, so exciting lmao
Gotham never fails to clickbait us ❤
Edit: It's just a joke💀

Levy’s goodbye is my hello.
Love your videos man, your book is on the way and I can't wait to learn how to be a pro!
😘
Each how to lose at chess video is a psychological thriller with hints of comedy
in the starting of the middlegame, white should've used the knight to a4 and then to b6, forking the bishop and rook.
Gotham turning into cartman towards the end. What a game.
Great video gotham. I love your content
I really appreciate Levy bringing my world into a semblance of sanity when he uploads
in the opening, queen h5 followed by knight f7 was a triple fork that couldn't be taken due to the queen, so actually before developing the knight f7, the gotham sub should've instead placed the queen to f7 and then used the triple fork, allowing for more material than a fork.
Love it, love it!! Haven’t laughed as much in a long time … thank you!
You could convert these games into a Netflix series with your complimentary commentary
loved your energy in this video
These games are the best content on the channel by far. Love it!
*THIS IS STALEMATE!!!!*

-Jumps in hole for second kick.
I loved the 8 pawns vs rook and bishop endgame
Levy has never failed to trick us into watching his content
What a crazy game, no disappointment here ❤
That king isnt just sitting in a capsule frozen... that capsule... is the throne of the other king! He's frozen on the starting point of the opposite king.
The moment when Levy talks about the game being over, but there are still 9 min left, you know it is going to be a good video.
An action-packed game that for sure keeps you on the edge of your seat! 😁
