"... but what if your opponent DOESN'T have brain damage?"
Title of Levy's next book?
perfect name
That would be good, because most internet chess tips don’t work on this case)
Well, at least, his name is not Levy Rozman then
I'd buy it.
I actually know a pretty good chess player with a hole in his brain, i beat him regularly but he's still good
Bro actually did an intense plot twist at the end
That was crazy 800 and 1100 wow
I sure didn't see that coming.
@@Friendly_Guy-fl4kk I was thinking the whole vid that they were playing quite decent for 100 ELO 😂
I actually wanted to comment "these 100 Elo players are better than 800 Elo players", before I saw the end. Of course they did crazy blunders, but they also found incredible moves. I think if they just grind to the point at which they don't hang pieces, they can climb pretty high with their knowledge.
I also thought this was pretty OK for sub-200. That was a master twist that I should've seen coming.
"To confuse your enemy, you must confuse yourself first"
-Art Of Chess

I'm bricked up rn
Sounds confusing

Maybe they were several 100 ELOs stacked up in trench coats. 🤔
😂 I think two+ 100s is worse than one
At least one of them in the stack should have suggested forking the bishop/knight pair.
@@ianstopher9111 But all of the rest in the stack would’ve suggested to hang all the pieces in various ways 😓
resigning from 15||10 with SEVEN minutes left when your opponent has THREE is INSANE, let alone being in a completely winnable position at the 900-1100 level
This kinda implies that it would still be insane if Black *weren't* in a completely winnable position at the 900-1100 level. Like, the time-related stuff are all you need for it to be considered insane.
Ignoring the clock is exactly the behavior we would expect at this ELO, isn't it?
Another plot twist:
The fact that he didn't ssy," Get our of here" at the end.
Ye true I was expecting that XD
@@thegamer6041Don‘t know whether I am allowed to click off this video now… means I am stuck in the comment section forever
He doesn't usually say that in How To Lose At Chess videos.
This. He just leaves us to ponder the mysteries of chess and the universe 😅@@Leyrann
At least he has the good sense to realise people will be getting tired of it but now needs a new ending. Unlike the rabid annoying repetitive ads which never change so as to saturate our entire brains with garbage.
Oh WOW the plot twist at the end, nearly fell off my seat 🤣🤣
I audibly laughed out loud at his perplexed disbelief
Frankly I thought they were playing well too well for 100 elo
A lot too well. I was often completely amazed that they sensed some of the dangers. E.g. the knight being attacked once the e8 rook was defended was clear 1000 ELO vision/experience.
yeah but no way this was an 1100 rated player, Im this raiting myself and I would have crushed someone playing like he was having brain damage most of the game
@@guiladshmaya1 I am 1100 as well, and for most of the games it is true but I think we all have garbage games
@@guiladshmaya1 I sometimes play just for fun, usually in bullet I try the craziest sacrifices, not caring about losing, but hey, I guess this time both were in the mood to turn off their brain
Ha yeh I was thinking "these guys are playing like me, shit I must be worse than I thought..." I am rated 500 so the plot twist made me feel better lol
Levy gets closer to grandmaster title every time he watches people lose at chess because he learns what not to do
Maybe Alireza should watch some Levy videos about traps.
dont give him an excuse to put gm in every title
That's how Bobby Fischer tried to learn 🤘🏽
its good to see Levy getting stronger
Same opinion and way of thinking
Bro calculated so hard, he forgot he's bad at math
He is an american after all
@@hdhfdfdfha Americans know 2 plus 2 = 5 we are very Bright
I fucking lost it at that plot twist
I was agape for 5 minutes
No joke
'what if they don't have brain damage " damn didn't think of that
Levy's glasses make him look like a cartoony supervillain
All along...IT WAS YOU!!!
Your moms hands make my stick look huge

This comment will get 1000likes and we will never know why
😂
Okay, I am not crazy. Throughout this I was thinking, how the hell are
You know it’s bad when he called the player a brave viewer
Levy is like Vsauce of chess.
damn so true
Or is he?
Are you saying Versace ?
Levy will be grandmaster… Or will he? 🎶🎵
Your Position is good, or is it?
I was going to say, that was awful chess, but there weren’t enough blunders to believe they were 100.
Don't miss the twist at the end

@sumanthp4744 No, I was quoting the video we could have repeated the whole video in the replies, but I guess not
@@kneesurgeryiscanceled😂sry bro
Better plot twist than even a Nolan film
The plot twist was actually crazy
The plot twist left me think that was this pre planned or they went all in? Because l have seen 1100 played like 800 and like 1700 as well. XD
What!!!!!!! Nahh 😂😂😂 24:13 this has to be a joke
Nahhh thats fucking wild. All the time I was like “yeah understandable that they didnt see such an easy move because they are low elo” but the plot twist got me like 😮 🙅♂️💀💀

Levy playing Overwatch makes total sense
New video on how to lose at chess just dropped
18:51 Suddenly Gotham brings The Hell Song of Sum 41. Legend
Levy never fails to spam capital letters
"Have you ever thought... That went really well?
"no"
DAMN THE PLOT TWIST
So I guess this game lets us all feel what Magnus and Hikaru feel when they watch Ding and Gukesh
didn't expect Levy mentioning Overwatch

18:55 you just unclogged an old memory of better times.
0:44 "brave, but foolish"
To quote an International Master at chess:
“🎶 That was the biggest throw I’ve ever seen 🎶”
Sidenote: I was mega confused at how white was 100, seeing as they made SOME logical moves… and then I… MAN HOW AM I NOT OVER 1100?!?!?
they both bet on each other to win....its the only plot twist that makes sense
@@alandoan1640 i have often, often wondered that with some of these videos. like why are the people i run into always competent?
This is unironically quite a well played game by 100 rated players
Ok very unsurprising plot twist at the end haha
Yuh
The last bit made a lot of sense, I felt like these 100 elo players were playing way too well to be 100.
that knight and bishop were begging to be forked for more than 10 moves and it never happened 😭
"is to move my G PAWWNNN!"
Dude cracked me up like a nut
"The best way to launch an attack on my opponents king when i have 2 rooks, bishop and a knight is to move my G pawn!!!"
Dear Gothamchess
I've been watching your videos since the early days, when you made the rating climbs and the 10min. chess opening videos. When I saw the first video of yours, I think it was the 10-min opening on the Vienna, I was hooked.
I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you do and all the free stuff we get from you that helps us evolve as chessplayers. With only the free samples of your courses on chessley, I was able to gain about 300 elo. I've stopped studying them, lost about 200 elo. After looking at the e6-b6 course for 30 min., I totally and utterly destroyed an opponent in about 15 moves. Keep on rocking, and I know you will get that GM-title in the next couple of years! Thanks for everything.
Cheers - a loyal fan
18:53 I agree, a great song, we got Gotham singing before GTA VI
>microplasticity in the brain
Neuroplasticity. Definitely do not want microplastics in the brain.
to be fair the topic was brain damage, which microplastics could certainly provide
says who?
That’s the joke
My doctor said I've got a North Pacific gyre worth of microplasticity in the brain.
6:22 Gotham went full Yuno Miles
Aint no way anyone believed it was 100 elo chess they are clearly higher level
Yup. I grew suspicious in middle game, after both players finding good moves and doing way less blunders that you usually see in "How to lose at Chess". And after this whole Rook-Pawn-Rook standoff I legit thought they were sandbaggers.
Exactly, it wasn't a surprise at the end, the moves actually got good
3:54 I laughed like an idiot when he did that face lol
Dude when levy started the video i was like what is even the point of the video with the abysmal rating. Like at that rating i am surprised they know how to move the pieces. But THIS . I never expected this💀💀💀
11:07 Missed the a great joke, Pawndemonium.
MARVEL needs to hire Gotham for these intense unexpected Plots 🗿🗿
Levy we love you ! You're the only one who can turn Chess into a stand up comedy show and make it so hilarious ! 🤣🤣
Sneaky. I love these kinda videos from you the best. Low elo/stupid games... they help me feel smart, whilst still learning from your commentary.
Nah Rithwik is my name 💀💀💀
Wow did not expect that to be a first name till you said that
Levy should become a rapper with that speed of commentating
Levy finally stopped milking Magnus
Levy that Sum 41 reference made me very happy
Levy basicly forces me to watch cooking channels.
I actually love coming back to this and hearing the subtle things you say to keep the surprise... surprising. You're a goddamned genius in narrative(or you just spent like 20 more minutes with the script).
8:21 I thought he was going to say "or you can lose it" 😂
Finally you brought videos we actually like and that are entertaining
Not the dumb tournaments you play in
Levy never fails to pin ragebaits
Bro looked like a teacher threatening a mischevious student, at the first frame of the video.
Absolutely needed this at my napping time, Thanks!
The utter disgust and confusion in the eyes of levy 😂
23:51 bro trick us😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
NAH THAT TWIST AT THE END WAS FOUL
I love these low-Elo games. Wish they had consistent names like the "Guess the Elo" series so I could more easily watch old ones.
@BICYCL3 Ah, thanks.
@@notme222there's a playlist on levy's channel 'how to lose at chess' you search that
I'm proud of myself for actually predicting the plot twist
A 1115 rated player played like this
So what am I supposed to be playing like as a 1057
Plot twist: Levy played the game but is too embarrassed to admit.
2:08 Oh yeah? What about what happened in September 7 , 2023

Wtf!! He didn't say "Get out of here" 🤯🤯
biggest plot twist ever
My take: They played way too good to be at the level mentioned in the end. I dare you to run the game review 😂

“But, what if he doesn’t have brain damage”. I’m stealing this phrase.
*I had problem comprehending trading in general. I tried watching other UA-cam trading channels, but they made the concepts more complicated. I was almost giving up until when i discovered content and explain everything in detail. The videos are easy to follow*
Trading on a demo account can definitely feel similar to the real market, but there are some differences. It's important to remember that trading involves risks and it's normal to face looses sometimes. One piece of advice is to start small and gradually increase your investments as you gain more experience and confidence. It might also be helpful to seek guidance from experienced traders or do some research on different trading strategies
I will advise you should stop trading on your own if you keep losing.
If you can, then get a professional to trade for you i think that way your assets are more secure
I'd recommend PATRICIA,ALEX her profit is great even when there's a dip
So nice to see Mrs.PATRICIA,ALEX talked about here, her good works are speaking already, and like wide fire she's spreading.
11:51 you can play on a cutting board 🙃
These guys played surprisingly well! Most moves had a plan or reasoning behind them that made sense. even if there was a flaw, it was pretty high level that realistically there was a low chance the opponent doesn’t see it. Black made some amazing plays in the mid game despite loosing a Bishop in the opening, and white fought to keep their advantage to the end game.
I was shocked that they “were 100 rated” with how well they understood things like the knight wasn’t free because it hangs a rook w/ check, doing a pawn Storm because that was black’s advantage, being up 2 pawns. Black understanding that the rook was only protected by the other rook and pushed that pawn 1 square to queening.
If Levy clean shaves then would he look like Harry Potter with Potter's glasses? 🤔
The original title of the video is “catastrophic chess”
its still catasrophic chess
oops im too soon
Now it’s CATASTROPHIC
Here's a series that I would like to see: Levy vs Magnus where Levy starts out with a ridiculously good position that one of these videos had gotten into, and Magnus has to win.
Magnus defeated nepo 3 to 0 and Alireza lost in nine moves i waited whole day for that
The fcking whiplash I got at the end was legendary lmfao
Catastrophic haircut 💀
holy shit that reveal at the end i- i- cant even describe how i feel
Of course, you will show the games of your subscribers only, because your games are not worth watching 😂😂

I liked my own comment 👍

Both players showed quick thinking and adaptability at different moments, yet there were numerous instances where they missed opportunities. It's fascinating to see how chess can be such a clear mirror of our real-life decision-making processes.
GOTHAM CHESS ARMY 👇🏼👇🏼
I lowkey realized the surprise is about them being higher than the elo you showed. there was no way a 100 elo player blunders with taking the knight at 13:27. Also protecting the rook and connecting the the rooks is something I don't see at my level around 500. Great video as always, thanks.
