    The cadença was writen by Philipe Scharwenka, and you can find it in most of the editions of Haydn Concerto and free in IMSLP.org
    Haydn never know about this cadença becouse he died in 1809, and Philipe was born in 1947.

    I love the expressive elegant phrasing. Excellent use of bow, and so fluid! I am also impressed with the big full sound of this recording. I wonder if it's natural acoustics, or somehow amplified? This guy plays with finesse. Reminds me of Joshua Bell
    style in some ways.

    why all the open E's? there were other open strings too, but the E stands out

      That's how historically they played it. Also, it´s kind of every musician choosing their fingering, so it's free choice.

      Vivaldi wrote it in a way that the E was supposed to start out on the strong beat, so it’s played open.
