    What is the difference between 906 and 981?

    • @jfoutdoors4337
      @jfoutdoors4337  5 років тому +2

      Just4Fun
      the 891 was designed for the Prado.
      the 906 was designed for the 4Runner.
      the 891 is very stiff/harsh for the 4Runner without a couple hundred pounds back there.
      the 906 is supposed to be perfect for the 4Runner.
      the 891 yields anywhere from 3-3.25" lift on a 4Runner.
      the 906 yields about 2-2.25" lift on a 4Runner.
      Rides great with my rig!

    I’m @ cross road , 890 or 891.
    Many reports of 891 being to ruff without load.
    What’s your take?

    • @jfoutdoors4337
      @jfoutdoors4337  4 роки тому +1

      PJC 891’s. The ride is great!

      JF Outdoors Right on.
      Well purchased 890s early this morning with 1.5 Daystar rear Spacers.
      Weight load will be no more then 200lb so should be good to go.
      My current setup.
      Front - Premium preloads with 1” spacer = 23.5 center hub to fender.
      Rear - Weak Moog coils with 2.5 Daystar spacer = 23.5.
      890s will provide 23” center hub to fender after settle.
      Adding 1.5 Daystar spacer on top will get me were I need to be = 24.5
      Solid performance with mild rake will finally be had on my rig

    • @pjc4425
      @pjc4425 4 роки тому +2

      Update:
      So much bad with my formula.
      Installed 890s with Daystar 1.5 spacers finding rake too extreme.
      I figured 1” rake ended with 1 1/4” driver side / passenger side 1 1/2”
      After couple weeks it settled slightly.
      What a freaking mess!
      I ended up pulling 890s , cutting Daystar spacer down on table saw & reinstalling to achieve level & comfy rake.
      I’m very happy with end result!
      Center hub to fender measurements.
      Front 23 1/2
      Rear 24.2
      Rakes not as drastic looks & drives fantastic.

    I’m on the fence between the 891 and 890 spring for the fear of the ride quality (unloaded). Do you find that the ride quality with the 891 to be tolerable driving around when it’s not loaded in the back? Awesome video btw, I’m sure the 4Runner will be around for your helpful son to inherit it!

      I actually prefer to hunt with a bow and arrow. Yes my family and I eat everything we kill. I do not think I am a big man. Unlike you though, I am not a pussy and can take care of myself. Lastly, hunting is biblical.
