I plotted a course but it decided to ignore the route and re-route down roads totally unsuitable for 15m twin axle coach. One time it tried to direct me up a road the what restricted for access only to 7.5t. Avoid is my recommendation
trucking Chris hahaha no worries , I've wanted a new tomtom in 5" that had all the good stuff and been busting my brain trying to work out it's this go pro 520, hope it runs as smooth as the more expensive 6200 6250 , It's menu looks very similar so going to buy it and I can get live traffic of my phones 3g I believe you have said? I start my new career on Monday as a Class 2 driver so want all the help I can get :) nice no nonsense video
DJBLESSD yes it does run very smooth it has the odd moment going around a roundabout where it doesn’t quite keep up, not a problem if you count the exits lol. Good luck for your new job hope you enjoy it and welcome to the industry

Pat Fenis I have been using the tomtom for just over 6 months now and can honestly say I have not had any issues with it. Never had a garmin for Hgv only ever had a car one so wouldn’t like to say if tomtom is better. I do still recommend the tomtom and believe it was worth the money spent on it. Hope this helps you choose if you can go and try both and see what you think.
@@truckingchris1716 well I go through one to get back to my yard and I didn’t have a route set was just driving with the sat nav turned on still but it made a noise I’ve never heard before while I was heading towards too speed cameras was like a chime sort of noise only did it once ?
@@truckingchris1716 infact I think it’s cause I’ve got my home location set on the sat nav and I drove to it without having a route set so I reckon it was that
They have released a few new ones since this one mate, but mine still works just as well now as it did then so if you don't want to shell out the pennies for the latest ones and you can get hold of one of these you be fine with it
Not to sure of exact length without measuring it (can’t at the mo as out on the road) but it’s long enough to go from the passengers charging port on a scania R450 to the far right hand side of drivers window. The charging cable can be plugged into a USB port as well if needed

Prince Soyele go to the menu select settings then my vehicle, then just tap the screen where the gross weight is and then input the weight you need so for 44t enter 44.00 Then press next job done hopefully that helps

No cause if you have set your weight it will not take you through a weight limit that you are too heavy for

I've had to buy one as a Coach Driver but to be honest it is shite compared to Google Maps with resolution and many other lacking features
