Surprised you have a company that allows you to use a satnav. Asda, Tesco & the likes all have set routes and don't allow satnavs to avoid bridge strikes.

I wud like to see an option to save different profiles for the type of veichles driven. That seems like a pretti obvious thing to do.

Great review. I really like the previous version. You can customize the bar in the right, to display current time i believe.
Can you tell me how to do this as I can't find any instructions in the manual.

My go expert is convinced that most of Bideford in Devon is a 3 ton weight limit including the bridge that takes the a39 over the river Torridge 🤦♂️

Nope, that is the wrong information, any truck satnav uses total length, that is unit and trailer.
Your equivalent in rigids would be if I put the length of my lorry bed and not include the cab.

Recently bought one of them but does someone know why it doesn't show lane guidance on the roundabouts.
How much is the camera app once it runs out after 12 months
They call it Expert but there is not a simcard incorporated... I'll stick with my previous one until they'll ad the simcard when the price will jump up over £150 from £350 they sell now on ebay. Great review. Thanks! 😉👍
I have no idea why .. your own mobile phone data will probably have much better coverage than tomtoms own... I found with the 6520 that traffic was hit and miss and kept dropping out... It convinced me to get the SIM free version

Hi there, thanks for sharing this im using the Snooper s7000. But sadly they have stopped the map updates for it so im going to need a new one. I wanted to ask anyone that has this Tomtom Go Expert, when your going down a motorway and it flashes up Road closed at Junction 12 to 13 does this Sat nav pick that up for you?? tell you straight away???? and guide you??? the Snooper never did this. I am thinking of getting this so its really important for me and other drivers if it will tell you on Road Closures.
It will pick it up. Can not guarantee that it will straight away as there will always be a slight. It will however find you an new route very very quickly.

After a few months use Chris how do u find the traffic and travel live updates with the tomtom connected to the Bluetooth to ur phone to receive them do u find it drops the connection much or is it solid connection as it looks like tomtom have cancelled the 4g sim version they were due to bring out which is the one I was holding out for
This happened to me with the SIM version of the 6250.. pretty sure it's got nothing to do with it using your phone and probably just TomToms server
does this work with all its functions( speed limit, cameras etc etc ) without cellular data only with gps signal?
Do you have any issues on the M25 S after Clacket Lane services it up pops up with a 7.5t weight limit on the motorway?
I haven't been down that way recently so I wouldn't know, all I can say is make sure the device is updated

No
Visualising the current time is a waste of time and effort on a GPS system. I don't know of a truck that would not have the time integrated into the dashboard display.
It may be unique to TomTOM but it is not to RoadLords
BTW, the restrictions information is irrelevant be shown if you don't have any intention to violate said restrictions anyway. The satnav should avoid any restrictions according to your settings, seeing more is a distraction. Furthermore, the 7.5 restriction may allow for access and perfectly valid but TomTom has not implemented the option to allow to go through.
Multiple destinations?? That is called Waypoints and a very common feature in most satnavs.
A free satnav called RoadLords can do all that and more.

The roadlords app is crap has so many bugs and issues, I even contacted the creators to inform them but they didn't want to know. But If you find it works then fair enough
If you have a problem, it’s virtually impossible to contact TomTom, their support is none existent. They get 90% one star in reviews.

I've just got mine today but for the life of me I can't seem to be able to set my bridge height into feet and inches .
I believe it is a setting you need to change but it changes all measurements to feet and inches so I just convert mine to metres using a conversation table I made but Google works for converting them

Yes it's does mate same as the older versions you can connect your phone

Only truck profile? 6250 is better, truck, bus and van. No one show in review vehicle profile? Why? Still mystery which vehicle is supported.

@@truckeralvarez5932 each to their own, I got asked to review using that app and found it had major faults and issues so I contacted them and they didn't want to know
@@truckingchris1716 Share your input to us so we can at least see your point of view. Maybe you have not update it or you are using it wrong. There are many factors that make the app behave in different ways. I have ZERO complaints because I have not found anything that would jeopardise my lorry and I use it every day plus I have it more difficult than most class1s, because I serve the construction industry and that means going to no so accessible areas.
Furthermore, I can link what3Words with RoadLords unknown locations and I can navigate safely.

@@truckeralvarez5932 ok so even with the sounds set to off so no noise is made it still beeps and bings at every speed camera which on the M25 is every other gantry, this is crazy especially when you're phone is connected to truck for playing music so constantly interrupted. The navigation takes some weird and wonderful routes great for sightseeing, kept getting taken off a motorway junction just to go over the roundabout and back on. Don't get me wrong if you are new and desperately need a sat nav and can't afford one it is better than nothing. I personally just can not recommended it to people especially when having tried it found issues contacted the creators and then got ignored.

Tom Tom is terrible don’t buy that navigation !! I use to love TomTom and it was the best nav for me because of the simplicity and design of menu, but they really gone bad because they don’t have user support and they don’t listen to their customers, they really doesn’t care what you think ! On new models you need to pay for everything, and you need to have speed camera subscription, but that doesn’t matter because for example in Germany is forbbiden by law to use that option so you can’t see where the speeding camera is so you always getting tickets for speeding (for 5km/h over you get around 50-60€ and all over Germany for trucks max speed is 80km/h and nobody is driving 80km/h so you are always getting tickets which is crazy, German laws are crazy, they wanna ripp you and TomTom is letting them do it) so it is useless to have subscription for speed cameras at least for me and now because of that reason and many others i will change my navigation system to Garmin !! And so much more is bad with TomTom i don’t want to get into all of that ! TomTom is really bad and don’t buy it…i would reccomend Garmin it is much much better navigation and more professional…
