It could be over-pressurizing due to a faulty thermostat or radiator cap which opens too late, when this happens excessive pressure builds up in the cooling system.

Tnx for this informative video, I dont see a transmission cooler ports on your radiator. do you know why? I have the same xtrail ( xE ) and it has those ports to connect to the transmission cooler lines.
Top radiator bushings are well worn, might be worth ordering them from Nissan, or at least using some polyurethane to fill in the gap a little, getting rid of one source of rattle. Yes antifreeze is very important, more for the preventing of corrosion in the engine than any other thing. Should be changed regular as well, because it does wear out.
Great video - very informative and has inspired me to have a go at replacing my leaky XTrail radiator (170k miles on it so it did ok).
Just a follow up - DIY radiator replacement went well and no trouble since. Thanks again for the vid.
Just about to do mine as it leaks around the top tank seal where the one in the video has been cemented . Very informative , thanks heaps !
Thanks for the video.
I would also remove the thermostat and flush the old dirty water out of the engine.
Love the way your tools are organized on your board.

Great video. The only concern is that the new clamps don’t expand when the radiator does. The original clamps were designed to expand .
Thanks for your input David, I never knew that, it shows one learns every day,
What caused the radiator to burst ? Cause i have the same problem with my nissan almera 1,6 2004

This is a manual transmission so this radiator does not not have a cooler built in.
