Reminds me of my boomer Marxist history professor who claimed to the class that there wasn't any unemployment in Soviet Russia. 😂

I've been to Russia and it was beautiful, clean, the people were nice and it was surprising to me to be honest. Every place has its problems obviously but I'd rather go to Moscow than Paris in the current day and that totally would be an ubsurd thing to say not that long ago. St Petersburg is beautiful too. I lived in Spain for a decade and just watch it go to heck. Russia is Russia not bad or good. Wish the slavs would knock it off already though. Just give them the lpr, dpr, kherson, zaporozhye and Kharkov they voted it is what it is shooting at eachother is doing nothing

Visiting Russia and living there is not the same. Especially if you've only been to Moscow. There are whole cities with poor infrastructure, and the villages are completely abandoned. I cant blame Ukr for not wanting to be under a dictators rule. Russia might be great until you say something against the government. Ill choose Czech Repub any day

You don't look old enough to have 'escaped' Russia at fifteen. You, or your family, emigrated. There were no restrictions on doing so after 1991. You guys simply left. Good on ya.

@mitchyoung93 I never said I escaped. We left in 97, I was born in 82. I lived 9 years under communism, then under the wild 90s. Each era sucked. Ive been back and know what Russia is about
