My dad used drill as wine opener in front of our distinguished guests - cousins from capital city. The dread on their faces and complete unawarenes of faux pas on his side. Priceless.
I would have liked to have seen what the apartment looks like when it's clean at least once. Also, I love how Manny just jumped on the idea of burning down the house.
Ahhh the Grapes of Wrath - Bernard the Filth Wizard, Kevin Eldon the Cleaner, and Bernard and Manny become Dr. Frankenwine & Igor....an all-time favourite !
Dylan Moran is an amazing stand up comedian. And his acting is every bit as good: multi talent backed by hard work, i’m sure, even though he’s the ultimate character of ease. Tamsin Greig, she is wonderful.
@@Satellite_Of_Love Now, of cause, we're all waiting for Moran to turn up in the next season of Taskmaster, but guessing, he's probably one of the people that were asked and turned it down.
I just started watching - all new to me: I am wholeheartedly convinced you are dead wrong. These *must* get better and better as the season progresses.
The two reasons I love this one so much is Fran in the restaurant and all the dumb shit she says like "I am a giant ear" and "will you _just_ look at these breasts!", and also how seamlessly the part in the front yard with manny a lá the hunchback comes together as a result of all these unrelated incidents. Its a classic and quite old British comedy structure, but ill never get tired of some of the creative ways series writers have come up with pulling them off
Thanks to whoever uploaded these! Back in the day I had to log into some shady website to watch black books. Bernard: There isn't any chance Manny is there, that you somehow.. managed to direct us to drink, not the cheap wine, but the unbelievably rare and expensive wine, is there?
17:16 i mean, im not friends with the pope, but if someone drank all my very expensive wine, then made up for it by getting me a really nice box of pencils, id probably forgive them!
As a lover of wine (Cabernet Sauvignon to be exact), this episode warms my heart. To be honest, it’s the perfect show to have with a nice glass of wine. To your health.
I grew fond of Trappist beer recently and I'm telling myself that if I ran a brewery within a monastery, I'd brand my beer as "Abbé's tears" and I'd put this particular actor's weeping face on the etiquette.
Can someone who’s British tell me what in the word that is Fran is eating? It looks so good. No doubt a combination of either frozen yogurt or ice cream with a sort of cake. I’ve wondered this for years.
The entire show is a masterpiece, but this is definitely the masterpiecest episode.

this is the nicest bernard has ever been in an episode. APOLOGISES to manny, compliments him genuinely, compliments fran-

Textbook comedy, as close to perfection as we can ever hope for. Writing, directing, acting, all spot on. Unlike the wine, it never gets old.
Thats why comedians should write comedy.
"I don't know if it was nice, it was ... huge! Gave a tremendous sense of value."

Pope killed by inferior wine , that sarcasm over there is just on another level.
Well at least the criminal he was protecting in this series' reality wasn't as bad as the criminals popes have defended in reality. :'D
@@MsDjessa Especially true now...
The best part is that Bernard takes no notice of the screamer headline.
I'd never heard of this show until it came up in a Reddit thread today, and this is fantastic.
