Just what I needed to realize I want to pay someone to put my cab lights on lol. GREAT video tho seriously probably the most informative yet understandable video I’ve seen... thanks
Thank you for making this easy to follow video! I was able to install cab lights on my 2013 F350 with ease! One thing I recommend is wait to take off the bottom part of the b-pillar until you take the bolt caps off the top part. It's not fun when they fall straight down and you have to find and fish them out
I love precision. This is the best video I’ve found on cab lighting. This is exactly how I want to install mine. Plug and play. Excellent video sir. Very helpful.
I was a mechanic at a GMC dealer in the late 70's and I installed cab marker lights on 4 or so brand new trucks that were not ordered with them. At the time you could order a kit complete through GM with a template for the holes. Your video brought back some good memories! Keep the videos coming!
I’m rarely impressed but you sir, are impressive. What a perfect video. I will say it is horrible how easy you make that look. If you were local, I would pay you to do mine! Great job!
This video is exactly what I was looking for! Wanted to do my install as OEM-like as possible with all factory parts, and you’ve enabled me to do exactly that. Thanks!
Cannot thank you enough for this video ! I’m installing a pair of Klein air horns and a set of LED cab marker lights.. NOT FORD. LoL. Seriously you did a great job here. The magnetic parts tray to catch the metal burs ? Awesome
Just did mine today. The wiring harness is the wrong part number for a 2012 king ranch. The correct part number is BC3Z-15A404-B everything else was spot on. Thanks for making this video
I went ahead and installed my cab lights. I followed your instructions and everything went perfect. Thank you so much for this video buddy, take care friend. 👍
@@robertharris4034 4 hours tops and that's because I took my time measuring the holes twice and running the wires. I imagine there's some out there that can do it in less time like maybe 2 hours. There is NOTHING hard about this job, it's simple but just a little time consuming and that's it.
Spectacular video sir! I want this done to my 2016 Platinum, but was hesitant till I watched your video. Now I’m pressing forward with confidence! Thanks!
I don’t have the guts to drill holes in the roof of my truck like that! Fantastic job, if you didn’t make the video you would never know they weren’t factory installed!
Great video, very clear instructions. I don't even own a truck but I watched the complete video and several of your other lighting videos. I'm going to add additional lighting to my kayak trailer and I found your videos very interesting for this purpose.....Take care, Bluefin.
Duuuuuude lol....great tutorial ....one of the best I've seen on YT ...Seems like you've had training giving instructional classes , either that or your just unusually skilled at detailing and explaining tasks . Great job .
You got the rig- doll 'er up! Sure am glad it's YOU doing this. I'd just pull a Red Green and duct tape 5 cheap flashlights to the cab but I'm not that industrious. I know a guy that used a flashlight with red cellophane taped to it for a tail light for hauling hay after dark. I think the local law knew him too and just let him go on and not get involved with a fire or an explosion if they didn't have to. My x Uncle-in-law said if you didn't believe in a Higher Power, just ride with that guy or just be around him for a while. You would! FINE JOB on the Big Boy!
I had an x-uncle-in-law that had an old Dodge with a worn out fuel pump cam and he built a scaffold over the cab, mounted the tank on it and gravity'ed the gas to the old flathead. Ran it that way for years. And another old drunk used the windshield washer bottle. Enough gas to go get beer and back home. Takes all kinds I reckon!
Nice job on the video very detailed greatly appreciate it I'm in the process of buying a truck from Texas that has no cab lights on it and I like the cab lights so this will give me a good idea how to install them thank you again
Thank you Squatch! I just did the install and it was a snap. The longest part was soldering up a wiring harness. A cheap upgrade that looks pretty damn bitchen!
Hello my friend, I was wondering if I could bring my 2019 F-150 XLT over, would you do mine like that. I live in NM. I could be over in a few hours LOL. But I really like your style of work. You are very meticulous & professional. Everybody should do there work like yours.
Very meticulous Squatch253 Great tutorial,Great instructions, you did an awesome job explain in detail the steps for complete installation.. I have a 2015 F350 with cab lites. The little tab on the base is broken on two of the Factory OEM and one base is cracked, I have a roof leak coming from one of them this video should help me. I didn't know that the roof lite bases had nuts on them. This video showed me what I needed to know.. I have a diesel engine with dual batteries, will i need to disconnect both negative posts?? Thanks again,
I just finished installing a flasher for my clearance lights on my 2019 Super Duty, they flash as intended when auxiliary 1 is on, but I no longer have power when off. I’ve checked the fuses under the passenger kick panel and they are all working fine, I did find that no power is reaching the connector on the A pillar passenger side, is there another fuse to check, manual doesn’t specify which fuse is for DLR lights. They look great and excellent job on the install.
I hope you have better luck than I do with those lights. I have the 2013, same thing, and the lights rip off from the wind when driving on the highway. I have replaced each light as it rips off at least 6 times each and looking today my center light has a small gap between the cab and the light which is the indicator it is going to rip off in a week or two. The studs in the light pull out of the light base assembly, and before you ask no they are not over tightened as I even got the torque spec and tried a few actually torquing but now i am back to just using a nut driver.
Nice job squatch. Just got a used 2016 that I’m going to add clearance lights to but I do like the led’s better. Can u tell me if they would plug directly into the Ford factory wiring harness? Thank you sir
Very nice video, and well done using OEM parts. Yes halogen is antiquated but the LED kits out of china are crap, they are made with bottom of the barrel recycled plastics which do not hold up to UV wear. The LED chip is an all in one part, so WHEN it stops working you need to replace the entire thing. The other benefit to halogen lamps is they melt snow pretty quickly during the winter. If you really wanted LED's then for a couple dollars you can order a pack of led bulbs from china. When doing vehicle upgrades and modifications, using as many OEM parts as possible gives the best quality installation and look.
great job. 2 questions 1, is the part number for the harness the same for a 2019 King Ranch and , question 2, process is the same with the moon roof? Thanks
Would a truck with a sunroof be a different part #? I have 2016 Lariat Crew Cab with a sunroof. I've looked up a truck with a sunroof and cab lights and the part # matches. What does the sunroof plug into? Thanks bud
Quick question, I know the lights follow the curvature of the windshield but does each light point straight "front to back" or do the point perpendicular to that curvature?
My truck has factory lights. I wanted a video on how to install led lights. But I was so amazed about how smooth this dude is removing stuff. Hahaha I eneded up watching it for no reason cause it doesn't help me at all 😂😂 Most people will damage all those plastic pieces.
that airbag light can be a real son of a bitch. Nicely done! I love the templates you made. Luckily my 14 350 XLT with the 6.7 i had remembered to order them when i was placing the custom order almost ten years ago now…, and i just swapped out the bulbs with LED and blue shells to match the truck. I did switch the mirror marker/blinker lights as well to be smoked out in a similar fashion. Someone destroyed one of my entire mirrors (which is hard to do with these), and the back housing was essentially gone, ordered a whole new mirror from ford and it came from Australia! With the new one on, I am starting to miss the amber on the rest of the truck a bit. Might have t use these part numbers and totally do a refresh this way.
You should do a how-to video to explain to everyone else how to do how-to videos! This was so well done.
Right?! Awesome video
I thought the same thing, best how to video I've ever seen
Very professional!!!
Brother! ^^^^ what they said! lol
Just called my local dealership and all your part numbers are still right! Thanks man!
This is exactly how it’s done! I’m a professional technician myself and this gentleman does it all correctly. Very good video of a job well done.

I'm about to do a cab swap on my rotted 6.0 and the donor cab doesn't have cab lights. I'll be swapping mine over. This video was perfect, thank you.
Your Video is absolutely one on the easiest to follow best how to videos I have ever seen! Great job. Thanks
I went ahead and installed my cab lights. I followed your instructions and everything went perfect. Thank you so much for this video buddy, take care friend. 👍
How long a project was it?

Excellent video. Just enough talk for good instruction. Not too long and not too short. Thanks!

Squatch253 I agree with you! Been drilling holes for ham radio antennas for years. I don’t even measure anymore.

Just found video as I had to replace a cracked clearance light. Was able to do the job in under an hour because of this video. Nice Job...
This is absolutely the most informative, instructive and well put-together youtube video I have seen, and I have watched a lot of them. Thank you sir.
Excellent video! my truck already has cab lights, but it was such a great video. I wanted to watch it anyway.
Excellent job Squatch! 👍 I wish all dealer mechanics were as conscientious as you!
Very nice job! Beautiful truck too! Takes nerve to drill holes in the cab roof of your truck! 😄
Hands down this is the best how to video!!!! Well done sir!!!
Great job bro ! you must have a lot of patients to take this all apart, there is a lot involved, don't know of I could do it. Well done !
Beyond me how anybody with any brain cells could give this video a thumbs down. Great job well done! 🤜🤛
This video is extremely well done. I was looking for a previous generation of truck but ended up watching just because it was so well done.
Got dang awesome video. Just what I need. Thanks brother

Gives me a great idea of what I am getting into if I want to install on my truck. Thank you and well done!
Thank you for this video. I used the original harness and put to extra wires in it. That's not as clean as your installation but it worked very good.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video outlining the steps you took to set up the lights. Very informative and fun to watch!
Not what I plan on doing but similar. damn the detail and ease to follow is 5 star so I feel this comment will do well to support the channel
Very well done! Thank you for sharing your expertise.

nice work, i appreciate the PNs being included in case i want to go that route
You did a fantastic job and such a professional installation! You are HIRED! Great video.
I did this on my 2012. Thankfully I had the sunroof so it made it a little easier.
Did you need a different harness with the sunroof?
What were your measurements with the sunroof?
Looks good ! I used to mount all kinds of 'driving' lights on my trucks too. Best thing was that they were functional.
YAAY!
Great video, very well done. I plan on doing this to mine based off the great details.👍🏽
Very good video on this install
What if I have a platinum with the sun roof and the sliding rear window? Do I need a different harness because of those features??
That is a sharp truck! Good job!
Those cab lights look pretty cool. Awesome job!
Wow! You really wanted those lights.
Absolutely fantastic video and perfect details! Thank you Squatch253!
Very good video Sr. Thanks for sharing
Extremely well executed video. Appreciate the thoroughness!

great detailed video thank you
very good video, saved and will be used for when i wanna try this on mine
Not to take anything away from this masterful job but you must be a Ford mechanic. I mean, you did half the job one handed. Ha. Thanks for the video.
Professional job well done. Hopefully you do other truck projects. Thanks
Just saw you video on the cab lights, and after a little research discovered the wiring harnesses have either been discontinued or aren’t available.

Well done mate, you did a fantastic job. So well explained.
Beautiful installation!
Job very well done!
Great job man! Very impressive detailed rundown. Being a Ford employee do you know if this process is the same with the 17+ super duty's?
The light design switched to a flatter, squarer LED version .
You definitely make it look easy thank you for the video

Much respect...a job done right! Nice job!
amazing the cost and labor to do this, its like a $90 dollar option when buying new
john doe not gonna lie I’ll give you 90 bucks to do it....then if anything gets creased it broken it gets replaced.
@@Rider-nb5ts A local shop quoted me $150/hour plus tax plus parts for 5 hours.

I would use only the high end LED from Osram (Austria).
Good video. Wish someone would make one this well for an 04 F250.

Exelente trabalho amigo!
I saw down the comment list that this won't work for 17+ super duty's. What a bummer. Still a great tutorial.
They use a more square, flat LED based cab light that actually has a more complicated square hole to cut.
Squatch, our truck has a sunroof. Do you think this would still work? Would we need a different wiring harness or are we out of luck?
My 2015 lariat has a sunroof. Is that going to be a different harness?
What did you do to keep the lights square from front to back?
Would a truck with a sunroof be a different part #? I have 2016 Lariat Crew Cab with a sunroof. I've looked up a truck with a sunroof and cab lights and the part # matches. What does the sunroof plug into? Thanks bud

I let the dealership added the roof lights on my ram; definitely a huge undertaking and my truck spent two days in the shop.
MrTONYTONYM What did that end of costing you.
how much was it?
Great how to video. But would love to see a typed out parts list,
Nice job I just bought all Ford stuff to do my 2005 f350 that way haven't purchased the nuts yet though kinda steep on the price for bolts.
