I love watching you paint! I know you've been told many times before but your clouds are super and love how you use house hold brushes to create beautiful paintings. Your fan brush lookes very much like mine but to be honest I've never used it for clouds just trees. That will soon change. The longer it watch you the easier it is for me to understand what you're saying. Yummyness a great word!

it is retarder, it helps slow down the drying time of the paint

yes you can paint this painting, that copyright is stating do not copy the video file, but you are most welcome to copy the subject and paint away with it that's what these tutorials are for so other artist can learn and paint along

I'm going to try to copy this lovely painting. Is the white you use with the medium to start the sky a cheap everyday white acrylic?
yes it is soft body flow type student grade
@@ianapolis thanks, today I went to Den Haag in the Netherlands and saw an exhibition of Monet and Breitner, also some paintings by paul Signac, Max Luce, Jacob Maris, Alexander Schelfhout, Picasso, modriaan's boogie woogie. It was so inspirational. I cannot wait to start painting. I had your painting in my mind whilst I was admiring the masters.

Why do u Ian never use gesso and always use the flow white
gesso is to prime the canvas, my canvas is already gesso primed, i use the flow white with retarder like a magic white to condition the canvas and keeping it wet long enough to paint my sky and clouds the same way an oil art can.
