Hi Ian, I just did two of your paintings and I think they are great. You are a good teacher. Not all paint tutorials are easy to follow. You are the best. Just thought I’d mention I’m from SE Qld.
I absolutely love your painting! This winter scene turned out beautiful even tho you've never seen a real winter snowfall! You're an awesome teacher! I'm learning so much by watching your tutorials!
LMBO Ian, I so loved you painting the first tree and comments! That is exactly what I go through! You had me laughing, not really at you but relating. Love your tutorials! You are such a joy😘
You are a great teacher. I’m having trouble with making any kind of clouds. I practice all the time but I just can’t get it. But thank you for all the beautiful tutorials ❤️❤️❤️
BEST painting tutorial EVER!!! Thank you sooooooo much cuz ALL of you tutorials are AWESOME!!! This one is JUST ESPECIALLY AWESOME-ER ;) THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!!
WOW it is really the best one you ever have make that¨s for sure...I could understand that you never have seen snow for real in your life...I think that you are missing something,..I think you should maybe take a fly and travel north to see the beautiful snow we have here up also in Denmark where I live..but in Sweden and Norway ..it is so pretty in the nature...Maybe you can find some motive to painting after your trip :-) Love your painting here..I will try to make it too :-) Have a great day .
Wow wow wow so wonderful I'm amazing &Ineed to learn from your drawing I llike drawing &painting alot really you 're great you the most painter I admire of his art all best
I started with oils and I really like painting with them but acrylics are so much easier to clean. Not sure if they’re easier to paint with though. I think the blending is way harder. Thanks for showing how to blend with acrylics Love the sun
If you want realistic looking branches, use a smaller round brush with flowing paint....hold the brush lightly, by the very end of the handle and allow the brush to make realistic shapes for you.....or else, even tape the brush to the end of a real tree branch to allow you to get further away, with less ‘control’...less control means more realism. Give it a try; you will be amazed!
I love your videos! and Ive never painted before and I found myself loving it I've been painting for two months now and I have come a long way!! Question? Do I go back now and "fix" the paintings I've done when I first started or should I keep them as is so I can look back and see my progress.
Yes I see what you feel but for the art sake I wanted them going into the center as I was not going for realism, If you paint this you always have to op to put them any way you like

Which masking tape do you use? The tapes I am using they damage the paper.
tape is not recommended for using on paper is ok on canvas but not paper
Very nice❤❤😚😚

Sorry Ian, but the tree shadows are going the wrong way. Light travels in a straight line from the setting sun.
