Sad to hear about the issues on your F1 wheels. Great job at fixing them. One of the most special things about the SF1000 was the shifters, since not many wheels allow you to upshift and downshift with the same hand (push pull effect). I've seen some people make great claims about those shifters over anything else. Great video overall. Cheers!
Another great video. I have the original F1 wheel, I did not upgrade to the SF1000 as I don't really want a screen on my wheel. I also do not play F1 games as much as others. I also own the Ferrari 599xx wheel, an Aclieth GT3 Mclaren after market for my original T330 wheel, and the Thrustmaster Open wheel add on which I got new on a Amazon deal for £100. These are matched to the TGT2 servo and the Thrustmaster load cells. My point is... My favorite wheel is the Open wheel add on (the cheapest by far) so don't think spending more money gets you the best product ! Keep the great content coming.
Im planning on getting the new T818 in March when it drops in the states, I was looking into upgrading the wheel, as I currently am using the T248/Tlcm pedals, I hope they have a bundle with the f1 wheel, as far as the grips not being rubberized, there's options, everything thing from spray on coatings, to Gun Grip products so I'll just mod it. And again bro absolutely solid review.
Goh, the grips are a matter of personal taste. It might turn out you like it. Not sure about the bundle. In fact, i wouldnt be surprised if the would come up with an upgraded version of the sf1000 with a native qr that fits the t818.
@@SimulatedDrivingResource they say all there new wheels will be designed for the dd , we will see, I'll let you know my experience when I can get one.
I had a Thrustmaster T150 and at first that rubber coating was fine but over time and use that rubber coating turns soft and comes off on your hands. I bought cheap white gloves to use the t150 when the rubber coating started running off and when I was finished using it the parts where I gripped the wheel on the gloves was blue from the rubber coating. I would rather hard plastic than a rubber coating any day but pleather would be preferable over a rubber coating or alcantara.
hola buenas tengo una pregunta Has enviado quiero utilizar el Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Ed.
Great review Had the SF1000 rim but sadly sold it. The telemetry screen was very basic in functions for GT7 and I couldn't get used to the tiny 28cm width. Really wish TM would produce a new GT style rim with rotary dials maybe a 488 or 296 wheel
Yeah, while the eco-system is not bad, it would benefit of a bit more choice. I only fear they will make new wheels with the new t818 connector standard and not suitable for older bases 🫤
Thrustmaster has the 488 Challenge Edition wheel that is a limited run of that steering wheel just bundled with the TS-PC base but the bundle ends up being quite expensive for what it is. (Just base + rim, no pedals). You can get the base cheaper and get any other wheel and still save up a bit. If they sold that rim alone it would sell really well I believe since it has rev led lights and not many wheels have that in their eco system.
@@caaarlos The rev lights, while nice, require 3rd Party Software running along with the Thrustmaster software, and a separate license. The license is included with purchase. Getting the license on a new system from the old one is a different story...
What platform? And what firmware version does it specify? Did it work before? I saw news that a new firmware has been deployed. This could cause/resolve issues.
Its in the video. Yes it is. All TM steering wheels are compatible with all TM wheelbases that support exchanging steering wheels. Only for the T818, you will need an adapter.
I have the old F1 wheel and I wanted to upgrade to the SF1000, but for the longest time you couldn't find it anywhere. I am no longer interested in it since I will wait for a F1 wheel to is native for the T818.
Very good reasoning. It is but a matter of time before a F1 rim that fits natively will come out for T-818. The availibility and new QR really killed the potential of the SF1000
Both wheels are compatible with the T300 base and the T300 is compatible with PS5. It is possible that certain functionality for the screen of the SF1000 is not supported by the game though. I think Thrustmaster has a list of endorsed games.
I like the open wheeler. Good wheel with minimal stuff to break. The screen is on the new one is really cool though. On a side note, I got the buttkicker working as it should. Bluetooth headset is working with it. Not sure what I did wrong or right. Lol

Forgot to mention that 😅 thanks man.
You can do that with the 2011 wheel also.

I will test the open wheel when I get my hands on it. It seems really clean and simple. I am all for that 👍👍👍👍
Been waiting for this one, thank you my dude.

Fantastic video mate!
I can puth the f1 wheel ad on , on logitech g29 with a kit ?
Certainly. But if the shifters and all the pedals work is another question
Are the T3PM pedals compatible i mean are they going to work with the Ferrari 150TH Italia Racing Wheel?
Yes, the T3PM is compatible with the T150 base.
do I need to buy a specific depict drive to the f1 wheels? or I can just use the one I got with my T300RS
Works fine with the T300

can you turn the LED screen off on the SF1000 ? is there a switch on the wheel ? or is it in the software of thrustmaster ?
There is the mechanical switch on the wheel. Quite nice.
Great review

Good comparison and presentation of the two sets. Sad that you were a bit unlucky with all the defects.
Yeah it sucks a bit. But at least i managed to save 1. To be fair, i have been very lucky buying second hand hardware so far.
Which wheel base do you use with either of the steering wheels. Looking to buy an affordable upgrade from my logitech. Thank you
You can buy a T300, T-GT for Playstation and PC platform, TX or TS-XW for xbox and PC or TS-PC and T-818 for PC only.
Is it compatible with the Thrustmaster t128?
My screen isn’t working with f1 2022? The wheel isn’t mirroring. Does anyone have the same issues? Done all the firmwares ect
What platform? And what firmware version does it specify? Did it work before? I saw news that a new firmware has been deployed. This could cause/resolve issues.
does the 2004 replica compatible with t300 rs gt base

Works with Ps5 and Thrustmaster T300RS? Because on my PS5 I don't get use with this add-on.

If you add the SF1000 to your PS5, make sure you update the firmware on the SF1000 and T300RS, otherwise it won't work
nice video, is the 2011 version compatible with next gen consoles?
Yes, if your base is supported by the game on next gen console (which normally all major games are) then the F1 2011 will be compatible too.

That happens at work with me alot too. The important thing is that it works... how you did it.. mèh 😏😎
Thanks for sharing I have both wheels as well

is it compatible with PS5??
Yes. However what you can see as telemetry on the screen of the SF1000 is dependant on the game you play
I had both the Thrustmaster F1 and SF1000; I sold my Thrustmaster F1 for $150 Cdn
That would make it about 100€. Also the price where it is sold for in my region. Good sale!
Sorry Neosphynx I had to repost my post because that other guy was being an ass in replies to my comment.
No worries Steve.
