It was nice to get an honest review from someone we trust. I really appreciated the inserts showing older folks working on their mobility issues; it was encouraging since I'm in that situation. You're right, to try and improve the mobility instead of just letting it take over. Thank you for that.
I'm so glad this video was encouraging to you - my mom is in a similar position as well but I have seen that there’s always something we can do, even just small steps can put us in a better place over time ♥️♥️ 🙏🏽🙏🏽
For my computer i pretty much exclusively stand when using it now. but for the past month i have been sitting when drawing, that has been a very interesting transition for me to adapt my technique to being on the floor because my body position is so different. still having fun with it. happy holidays. 🎉
I love how you frame active sitting and floor sitting as preventative maintenance. Once I made that mental shift, it made making a better future (and more fun now) the default. Thanks again - great video!
Natasha, I have been telling everyone this for years and have finally bit the bullet to incorporate this floor lifestyle for a healthier body. I am so glad to see someone else preach EXACTLY what I have been trying to express to others. So glad to see that I am not alone. My search for floor seating to a standing desk brought me to your video. Thank you so much for boosting my spirits and giving me more hope for how I feel and where I want to be. All the best to you on your health journey. Gabriela
Hi Gabriela! Thank you for your comment and I'm glad that you are seeing the benefits of incorporating floor life into your health journey! Happy that you're here!
Thank you for sharing your joyful approach to life. This is such a positive and powerful message. Been floor sitting at my wfh office for the last 2 months. Went on holiday and my knees have been so sore from NOT sitting on the floor!!
Natasha, thank you for posting. I normally don’t make comments on videos, but had to login and write a comment. I have wanted a stand up desk for a while but hadn’t bought one. Now I see the importance of having one that goes closer to the floor even though I’ve seen other videos of floor sitting, none had the one that you recommend. I will be making a purchase. I have seen the sun go around 65 times and can tell the difference between when I was younger and now, and how I get up and down from a chair. I won’t go into any details about getting off the floor. Your videos are encouraging regardless of what others may say in the comments. Keep putting out your videos. They are helping people, such as myself and others. Also, you responded to a negative comment in such a kind and loving way that I had to smile. I hope they go and get a hug. Have a great day.
Awwww thank you so much for the honor of your comment! I appreciate your encouragement and am so happy to hear that you are benefitting from this type of content. Here is a big hug to you! I appreciate you!!
I love how encouraging this video is! I completely agree that our bodies are more resilient than we think, and it's so important to invest in our health for as long as we are alive! If you haven't read it yet, I've really enjoyed reading Outlive by Peter Attia. I feel like you and your audience might like that book too! Thank you for sharing all these tips about how to get your mobility back, and happy holidays!
Really like these INOV8 BARE-XF shoes. Kind of a upgrade from the Amazon barefoot ones I started with. ....also thanks for your content! I'm using a floor desk every week now!
Man, you worked really hard on this and it shows! I'd suggest getting a cheap light box it would take this thing to an even higher level. It makes the shadows smoother and stuff, gives a "pro" look basically. Great video!
Thanks! I actually was a professional wedding photographer for a decade, so I am familiar with how to manipulate the light. However I haven’t upgraded my UA-cam setup much yet until I started making some money on here which only happened this year. For this video I did use 2 cheap soft boxes which are smaller and they are better for when I’m filming closer (talking head) but am planning to upgrade to a larger softboxes to soften the shadows even more, but also I won’t be shooting at night when I can help it. But yes, in time, when I make more money on here, I’ll def upgrade my lighting. I decided though that audio was more important than lighting so I invested in that first.
Hi! Would you have suggestions for a small portable seat. That is collapsable/ lightweight & can be used basically anywhere? But I'm also looking for something that doesn't sit too low to the ground either bcuz of my knees. I'm doing my own research on it & would like to know if u or anyone else has any good ideas I could try. I have looked into camping chairs. The small compact kind. But I'm not quite sure what all is out there. Any input would be great, thanks. 💙
When I am playing pickleball some people bring these kind to the courts… I don’t have any of these personally but I’ve sat on these types. Hope it helps. amzn.to/3ZPgpLH amzn.to/4iJZPW6 amzn.to/41Ot2cm
@natashatheresa thank you. I just looked into these. The last one was most interesting to me. Especially w/ the option to get the one w/ the higher backrest. I still might look some more. But so far I'm liking that one the best. I've seen simular ones to these. But idk know exactly what I wanted yet. Thanks again. 👍
Here's my Amazon storefront with several of the cushions :) www.amazon.com/shop/natashatheresa/list/1UZBEAW1BULVJ?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_FY69SNAFS7J62NQDG1TF
Yesterday I went on a half hour walk with my 71 year old mother and my 94 year old grandfather. My grandfather’s amazing health for his age is definitely based on keeping active, physically, socially, mentally. I feared he’d deteriorate after one of his knees gave out, but after some weeks he was up and at it again, since he had a pretty good basic condition to recover with and return to. I am also aware that this is made possible by his good fortune to not develop any seriously limiting health conditions, physical activitity is not a cure-all. However, after recovering quite a bit of activity ability myself with a minimal excercise program, I do believe it is generally beneficial even in tiny doses if that is all one can manage. Edit: typos
I had already invested in a sit to stand desk (not floor to sit to stand) so I'm thinking about building a seating platform (essentially a "high floor") to mimic the floor sitting option. Still working out the details, but figure this will be less expensive than buying another desk (again, lol).
It's funny how people freak out if you tell them you sit or sleep on the floor, or you dont wear shoes or sunscreen. They act like I'm the freak, when I'm just being human and doing was humans were doing for millions of years before we built a synthetic world where everything is too soft, which causes us harm. It's sad watching people atrophying at fairly young ages because they simply don't move. I rarely see anyone over the age of even 50 in my gym. When really, it's people that age and over who can benefit the most from being there.
Yeah it’s like an atrocity if I choose to sit on the floor especially at a family function, they all offer their seat but I’m like, I’m truly fine thank you hahaha! Yeah most people I see my age are creaking and I’m 41… it’s so worrisome, and then I see some creaky 30 year olds and they are like, its just part of getting old but noooooo it doesn’t have to be that way! If you creaking at 30 but you living to 80, it’s a sad sad life!!
@natashatheresa 30 is somehow considered old now, but I'm about to turn 33 and I feel like I'm in the prime of my life. And I've recovered from major injuries! What's everyone else's excuse?
Okay, I'm just sharing what has worked for me and has helped improve my overall well-being. You said facts are facts, but your original comment is inaccurate, and did not need to be made in the first place. It's up to people to do what they want with what I share on here. A lot of people are looking for more info on certain products like this and so I'm happy to share my experience in case anyone wants it. I too like to get input from other people's experiences before I decide to invest in something. I have plenty of other videos on here that give different options as well, some are free, and some are not. But no one has to buy anything unless they want to. But I always get curious when people make comments like yours. One thing I've recognized is people who are content with their own life don't go out of their way to rain on other people's parades. So with that said, I wish you well and hope you find something that makes your heart sing and allows you not to worry so much about what other people are doing.

Do you have links or names to the cushions or other products you use to sit on the floor while sitting at your desk?

Literally nothing happened. The end
Literally no one told you that you had to be unkind for no reason at all. I hope someone gives you a hug. The end.
@natashatheresa facts are facts. You don't have to ascribe anything to them. Yet you chose to. That's odd.
You posted a thinly veiled ad. That's it
