I wanna say it was Snarl but unfortunately I don't remember clearly. We have nothing to confirm YET but hope this gives ya a little hope in potential high possibility. ☺

Just picked this guy up at Target on my trip to Oklahoma today, so I got him for a good price. And, wow, just wow. This guy embodies everything that has gone right with Generations the last few years. A goddamn solid toy with no bells and whistles attached, that satisfies collectors, children and toy enthusiasts altogether. It's just perfect.
So am I the only one that feels like someone will put out a 'upgrade' kit for this set? Give Grimlock his sword, a different chest panel, and new arms and legs for the little guy so he can pose?
I think its probably a foregone conclusion. For people who say they don't want upgrade kits made, Hasbro seems to be giving new reasons to have them made.

Interestingly enough there's a rumor these studio 86 figures were originally planned for the Kingdom line I believe, but got moved out to the studio series in favor of Beast Wars. That's kind of why these figures are really similar in designs to what we've seen in the WFC. It definitely sticks out on Grimlock here as he still has quite a few of the WFC weapon ports.

Fun fact: It was never in the movie or show, So him not having a sword and just a gun adds to the accuracy. Now, I may be wrong in saying that but nothing I can find point to the Dinobots having their swords in the old cartoon. At least Grim didn't use it in the film
They'll probably do a Selects toy deco version with the sword, once everyone has bought this version. They like making collectors double dip to get the "preferred" version once they bought the first release.
As a 37 year old bastard Im glad i discovered Emgo's channel years ago! Watching his channel always inspires me to watch the 1986 release of Transformers the animated movie! "Me Grimlock think we need new strategy!" Our parents bought it for us on VHS! It was always epic everytime!
I honestly would have preferred them to include Grimlock's sword and given us a separate transformable and more articulated Wheelie in the line. Otherwise, a pretty great Grimlock. Bring on the rest of the Dinobots now!

The sliding bit on his legs remind me of some of the g1 figures. Like Gears/Swerve’s legs are spread out a bit in bot mode but touch each other in vehicle mode

Why didn't we get this figure in earthrise, do you know how iconic grimlock is? We got apeface and snapdragon, heck we even got cog, who was NEVER on screen ( im talking before the netflix show) and we havent gotten a war for cybertron grimlock.
I actually like the dark color of the plastic on his chest, I just wish his Autobot symbol had been painted on the outside of it rather than molded underneath it.

Grimlock looks awesome, but a port for his gun to point straight forward would have been nice and Wheelie...they could have just included a sword and release a proper Wheelie down the line or re-issue the one we had a few years ago, in the Kingdom line.
Found it today at my local Wallmart ! So lucky, last week i also found Netflix Soundwave, and last weekend i found Kingdom Cyclonus... I'm really pleased!
This puts my power of the primes to shame, I need it. Also these really feel like a cross breed between war for cybertron and studio series noting all the peg holes and the blooooooooooosh compatibility

Got this guy yesterday. Very cool figure in both modes, but I wasn't sure I transformed him properly with the gap between his folded up legs and the gold chest/belly piece, as well as his back looks a bit weird being flat between those tube looking parts. I thought it'd be rounder to match the rest of the figure. Thought I missed something, but after watching the video, I guess not.

It's nice to see the 86 movie getting recognized, but I do wonder if any Siege and Earthrise figures will be added to the SS line to round out the cast. Just retool the molds to exclude the extra ports and you're set with a figure that little if any R&D, so profits would be greater. Galvatron's crew are coming out in Kingdom so they might have a chance. But what about Optimus, Starscream, and the rest?
