My husband and I were in the area and wanted to have noodle soup so we googled and Wonton Guy was the first that popped up. Let’s give it a shot! We like that the place felt like a mom and pop store. Seeing all the elders sitting down eating, we knew this place was special! Ordered 2 toppings noodle soup and when I tell ya the first sip of that broth hit me, I danced in my chair just like you did! We discovered Wonton Guy, I wanna say in March of this year and I’m not going to any other wonton noodle house cause this is it!!! Everyone should try this place, you will NOT be disappointed!
Love your chopsticks skill. You da pro! 👍 I am in CA and your video here is making me want to get on a plane to go clear across the country for a bowl of that wonton. Those are the BIGGEST wontons I have EVER seen and I've eaten it all my life for decades. The dumplings are called "suey gow". It's a bigger version (as you can see) of the wontons and have wood ear fungus (a type of mushrooms) in it which adds crunch. It's simply delicious. One of my all the FAVORITE things to eat. The dry noodles that you were eating is called "Lo Mein", which simply means to "mix noodle" with whatever sauce.
Yum !! Those are the bulkiest won tons i've ever seen !! Wow !! I've made several screen pictures from spots you show us on the channel. Than i have some nice food coming for when ever i visit the US and i'm in the area, so thanks !! And it's always nice to see somebody enjoy their food ❤
I used to live near this area, and I miss all the good asian restaurants. You had a little bit of everything, plus the H-mart and the place that has the japanese dollar store items in it.
I miss Edison, NJ... moved to South Carolina 5 months ago. They don't have authentic Asian restaurants like NJ/NY area. Thank you for showing my home town. I was walking distance to Wonton Guy when I lived in Edison, NJ. Makes me want to drive back just to have some authentic Asian food. 🤔😊
i love wonton noodle soup when its done properly. Noodles with a nice chewy and firm texture. Light but flavorful broth. Thick, meaty wontons. The wonton noodle soups near my area (Southern California) are decent but the best ones I've had were in Hong Kong and Vancouver, B.C. (Canada).
You are one of the only UA-camrs I can watch eating. I love the foodie review content from many, but your table manners and real, unexaggerated reactions I can honestly thoroughly watch without feeling unappeased. Edit :No Diddy 💀💀
Looks like a great local place. That first dish is pretty authentic. That second dish looks like a Chinese-Italian fusion dish. Chinese do not put tomato sauce in their noodles. You are the best UA-cam foodie I've ever seen in the USA. Mark Wiens is without a doubt #1 globally. I first started watching your videos when Mark and yourself did the Philly vids together.
The owner said he’s from Hong Kong, which has Western influenced cuisines. There is a HK dish that I love, it’s baked spaghetti/rice with pork chop or chicken chop in a tomato cheese sauce
Thank you for continuing to showcase small NJ restaurants! I can't wait to try this. You should tru Honolulu Hawaiian and Poke Bowls. They're a new, really good Hawaiian restaurant in Somerset County.
Edison, man. That suburb has the best Chinese and Indian foods I've had in an East Coast suburb. Rutgers students frequent the restaurants in this town, too. Good stuff.
JL, When you hum and moan, and keep eating silently THAT says it all!!!!! That is your BEST review-- when you Eat and just enjoy. Mr Wonton Guy, this video and review speaks volumes of your great efforts. JL is the Foodie review King!
Great looking putt 👍...the food looked amazingly delicious...newbie to your channel...love the contents of all of your videos so far...keep up the fab job 👍👍👍
Edison is a dope area for food. If you end up going back, there's also a very good Vietnamese spot- Baguette Delite. Tastee Sub Shop is great too, and they have a really good hot pepper spread for their sandwiches.
Not sure if or when I ever get to visit the places you go to, but I appreciate the focus on helping worthy local establishments to get the word out. Great vid.
That area has some absurdly good Asian food. I used to live in Edison. HWY 27 is legendary for Asian Cuisine. A couple blocks down the road is Yaraku Ramen. It's easily the best Ramen I've ever had. Right down the road from that is Delhi Garden, which is arguably the best Indian food in NJ. Then there's Baguette Delite, which has the best Bahn mi I've ever had. That's walking distance from Yaraku and The Wonton Guy.
The second dish looked better then the first, the noodles worked as one with the ingredients.the Cher looked very happy about who things are going for the restaurant.
Both of my parents grew up in Hong Kong, so my wonton experience was the opposite of yours JL Jupiter. I always had homemade wontons, dumplings and potstickers as a kid and those were “normal” for me. Then when I became an adult and went to the “corner” Chinese spot, and had wonton soup there, I spit them things out! It is not even comparable and I feel bad that many people in this country may only know those nasty things to be wontons. I haven’t been to Wonton Guy, but I am going to hit that spot up this weekend! So excited to finally get a good wonton!!!! Thanks for sharing this experience with us.
I lived in Edison almost all my life, it is the mecha for Asian food on the East Coast and probably the entire US. Very high concentration of Asian immigrants and tons and tons of very good Asian restaurants all over the place. I live literally 2 minutes away from this place and never been there so I'll have to check it out soon. Terrible place to live though unless you like overcrowdedness, constant traffic and extremely high taxes. Can't wait to get out someday and go someplace that's a bit more quiet and laid back.
Some people just know how to cook and everything they make is good. I heard Edison has good Indian food on Oak Tree Rd. It has a high Indian population. I like those small humble places where it is about the food instead of about being pretentious and expensive.
Quail Ridge is a decent County Course. Personally, it's much more satisfying shooting a good score from the Back Tees. Good to see your challenging your game. If you have the opportunity you should try to play the Monmouth County Courses. IMO they have the best County Golf Courses in NJ. Homing Hill, Charleston Springs, Howell Park are all nice tracks. Hominy Hills is a Robert Trent Jones course. All very challenging from the Tips.
@@JLJupiterTV Neshanic Valley Golf Course is Somerset NJ prize 27 hole public course. The Ridge 9 with its elevation changes is stunning. It was ranked #6 Best Public County Golf course in America. A MUST play

Oh wow I live like 15 mins away and am in that area several times a week I’ll check it out sometime
Ningen spammed that exclamation point more than I be spamming q
I live so close to this place. I never stopped in. I'll have to try this place out!
Lucky
I went to ‘Wonton Guy’ after watching this. The chili has a good kick. I love it.
Total banger. I love when hidden gems are found and featured.
I'm dying with envy. I wish we had a place like this closer by.. Definitely as authentic as can be.
Beautiful everything. 😋👍🌻❤🍜
Golf game looking strong bro 💪. And this spot definitely is added to the list. Love a good noodle soup!

Every time I see JL in his golf gear it looks like he's cosplaying Tiger Woods. 😁
Looks fantastic and my office is nearby, look forward to hitting this place soon!

Bro really just was in such shock he recorded himself just eating in heaven enjoying it all😋
I hope to visit one day ❤ the wonton guy energy when speaking is so gracious .
Hey, thanks for showing. Good video. I wish I was there right now. Thanks.
Got to check him out! Thanks for telling us about Wonton Guy!

So happy for you and your family God bless 💗
Thank you so much!!

I am salivating as I am watching you eat. 😋
I live about 30 minutes south of this place and have been craving wontons recently.. This might be my next go to spot to check out! :)

Hey JL. These restaurants be hidding gems. The best dishes.. Looks hell if yummy. Enjoy!! 🐞😋🤗
