Notes - Yes, I say umm too much (I'm going to work on it so please don't be too harsh), the book that I refer to from reydaprints isn't adorable faces as I repeat not once but twice but adorable girls. I also have plans on getting better with not only my video setup, the overuse of certain words but also remembering to actually say the names of artists when I show their book.

the Barbie book is so cute! I still have some Barbie books from the late 80s and was thinking about photocopying the pages because of the paper lol. Good to know that they use better paper now. Welcome to YT I am also a new colorist to social media!

I’m a newer colorist, live in the Midwest & love watching hauls too. I think I’m more collector than colorist at this point 😅… I love supporting artists. Enjoy flipping through my books, dreaming of coloring every page, playing with all the supplies… Just not enough time to do much of it right now. I love watching UA-cam colorists and learning from them as I find time to play. Glad to have found your page, look forward to seeing more of you videos. Keep them coming. Every time you mentioned a site on which you purchased books at a good price, I felt compelled to check it out. You are a coloring book shopping goddess! The Laure Phelipon Etsy shop was extremely difficult to locate. And it's on break at this time.😥😔😮💨The current Anastasia Elly Koldareva Coloring Book on Mercari is $70!, not including shipping. I wish I could find similar deals as it seems we like the same artist, Lana Green, Anastasia Elly Koldareva, Mariola Budek, etc. Thanks for sharing the haul. I would love to see your entire collection someday - once the recording issues are resolved. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@beatricenowell8207 thanks! None of Anastasia’s books are currently available on Mercari, I think the listing you are referring to (for $70) was the one I bought that was $70 for 5 books. I find keeping certain search terms saved or with notifications super handy as it means I’ll see listings that interest me easier and hopefully be able to snatch up good deals.

Hi Tara welcome, I like your carefree bubbly vibe and your taste in books. I have a Barbie kids book very similar to your one and I love the simplicity but also Quality of the pictures, sometimes these books are just what you need to colour at the end of a busy day. I also like to buy used books and fix up the ones that have already been coloured if salvageable. I have subscribed and can’t wait to see another video from you Happy Colouring.

Thanks! I’ve had some good luck in the past finding not only reasonable books but also supplies there, just have to be careful when checking out that you look at the final price as they changed their fee structure 😕
You are beautiful! Honestly, very enjoyable video. Maybe next time you could say the books name/ author? Or just take a couple extra seconds when you show the cover? I'm frantically trying to write some of the names while I'm watching 😅. Its so nice to see a newer colorist on the scene, thanks
Thank you! You are 100% correct with saying illustrator names/titles, I just got carried away. I’m already making notes for my collection video on titles/authors especially because many of them are not in English. Thanks again for the very useful feedback. 🤔
I'm not sure how to blend alcohol markers,but a lot of other youtubers I watch that color they do an alcohol markers base, then take colored pencils over it.

I got them secondhand (but unused) via Mercari (a resale site). I have two of her other newer books that I didn't show in this haul that I got via coolcraftbook on Etsy.
I want some of these books. I need a hobby. What kind of colored pencils do you have?
If you are just starting out Amazon actually has a pretty decent set of “Amazon basics” colored pencils that are affordable and work pretty well. I have a lot of different sets of pencils, Prismacolor is the standard that you will see a lot of people use and are great pencils but aren’t as budget friendly. Faber Castell Albrecht Durers are my favorite pencils (they can be used dry or activated with water) but are on the higher end. So long story short I really recommend if you are starting out either grab a quality budget set or a small set of a better brand.
What do you mean by buying it in a lot.
People will list “coloring book lots” on resale sites, it basically just means it’s an assortment of books, they might be different illustrators, different subjects, etc. Just imagine grabbing 10 of your own books at random, if you were to sell them they would be “a lot”. Hope that makes sense! If you go on eBay and search “coloring book lot” you will see what I mean.

You are allowed to have long videos on youtube which we enjoy, but you should really take a breath or two and relax unless you are naturally a speed hyped up talker, lol.
I am the same way, I will never buy AI. I would rather support an actual illustrator. And those AI books all look the same.
@@lucylu59 when I first got into coloring, some of the downloads I purchased on Etsy ended up being AI and they were a pain to color. If others choose to buy those types of books I’m not going to make them feel bad or whatever, but I have no issues saying that I personally will not buy those and I love promoting my favorite artists!
