I with more boards looked like the BSOD. Beautiful, tasteful graphics.
There’s a lot of good graphics this year, the video definitely doesn’t do any of the boards any justice. Nothing like seeing them up close and out of the shrink 👍
That BSOD is so much fun. Softer than I thought it was going to be. Reminded me a lot of the Hometown Hero.
I can't wait to try the Mega Death!
What's your weight? I fear bsod is too stiff for me.
@@youjib I'm about 5'11" 195lbs and rode the 162
@@youjib i'm just under 5'10, around 165. I rode the 157 wide (boots are 11.5)
I was wondering if you would do a few binding videos BC there is so much stuff going on with bindings. Nidecker steps in, Burton Step In ,Arbor Bindings i just see a lot of new binding tech. Brent Metal, Jones Bindings the list goes on and on.
We’ve got some more “gear specific” content coming in the future! Keep your eyes peeled! Thanks for watching!!
I’m looking for a new board. I’m mostly riding groomers, but plan to hit a couple of side hits and smaller jumps from time to time and also some powder off pise riding. I was looking at Burton Custom Camber, but now I’m thinking about Hometown hero. Which one would you recommend?
Honestly if park riding is not something you will be doing that often just go with the HTH. It still is an all mountain ride but just excels in the powder! HOMETOWN HERO: www.peterglenn.com/search/apachesolr_search/hometown%20hero
Thanks for the reply! Is there a difference in carving capability between the two boards?
@@zvonimirmatic2292 Both boards will definitely be able to lay down some carves but the HTH is slightly stiffer so it will hold a bit better at higher speeds and on those harder conditions.
How would you compare the bsod to the jones flagship ? Looking for a freeride board, already got the jones mountain twin and the jones aviator 2.0. Which would go best with these or would you go different altogether?
Cheers
Honestly for what you have already I’d go closer to a pow board to widen the range of your quiver. If you went with the BSOD or Flagship you’d be getting something that’s closer to your Aviator.
Matt, you still with "The House" as well? Or have they lost the second Matt for whatever reason? Thx for the insight. Have a great winter
On to better things here!
Do you need to size down on the statos or ride your regular size?
No volume shift for the Stratos, just go with your standard board sizing. -> www.peterglenn.com/search/apachesolr_search/jones%20stratos
Good stuff. Considering selling my custom camber 162w for a hometown hero. Burton website sizing chart for a hth puts me in a 156w. I am 5’10” 190lbs. Would a 156w be too short and lack stability?
@@joshuak5757 what size boot do you have?
Size 12 boot
@@joshuak5757 Yeah, "technically" you could ride the 156w but you would be at the top end of it. Personally I'd say to go with the 160. You'd have a little more power under your feet with the bigger board and the waist width is plenty wide for a 12 so you could have a nice nimble board edge to edge too. I'm about you same size and I rode the 160 with zero problems.
