    Why did you switch from the Territory Manager? And why did you switch away from the Hometown Hero before that? Would be cool if you made a short video about the boards and why you have been switching for us that don't get to ride them all.

    Hi Mark ! Can you tell me the width under foot for the front and rear feet at reference stance on the 165 Grill Master. I wear an 11.5 and I carve pretty hard …..so I need a pretty wide board not boot out ! Thank you and congratulations for the channel ….love it !

    So question for you. If you could only choose one board size of the Gril Master, which would you choose. I am trying to make a choice between the 160 or 165. I need it to be a quiver killer. I am 5'11", 230 lbs with a size 10 boot.

    Thanks for putting all that info out there, Mark. I have a question about the rack holding your boards. How are the posts mounted so that they stay stable? Odd one I know. Thanks again!

    • @marksollors
      @marksollors  10 місяців тому

      Hey not worries happy to answer this. Excuse my improper terminology though... long 2x4 with holes drilled into it on an angle. We didn't drill all the way through just most of the way. Then we used dowels as varying lengths with glue at the ends to keep the posts in place. The entire thing is then drilled into the walls.

    Hi Mark. Burton Reflex bindings. Micro adjust reflex disc for fine tune nose to tail adjustment on non Burton boards. Can you get feedback to Burton to start making these again. Burton is losing sales do to this. I really love Burton bindings but need the vertical adjustment discs. Please let me know what you think. Thanks T

    trying to pick between the burton free thinker & custom for all around free riding & messing around at resorts & parks, probably just for a 1 board quiver atm, any advice between the two or other recs? thanks dude!

    Good stuff. I am loving my new swash jacket. Considering one of those heavy insulated burton ak jackets . I am thinking about adding a Gril master or deep thinker to the quiver or both. What are the differences?

    • @marksollors
      @marksollors  10 місяців тому

      Glad you are loving the new jacket! I wish I could help with the GrilMaster / Deep Thinker comparison but I don't have any experience with the Deep Thinker. Take this note lightly but to the best of my knowledge the Deep Thinker will be narrower and lighter. The taper is 7mm compared to 15mm on the GrilMaster. I would say DeepThinker would classify as fun but a bit more aggresive than the GrilMaster.

    Will Burton be putting out a new Territory Manager any time soon?

  • @user-wu4ip7mp3z

    I noticed the burton step on boots are much lighter than the DC ones. Hoping other brand like Vans will have Stepon Boot options too, Burton boot just isn't for my feet.

    • @marksollors
      @marksollors  11 місяців тому

      Ya I get it. Feet are so unique it’s hard making boots for everyone. Cool to see other brands start working with the StepOn. I haven’t had any experience with other brands StepOn versions so I can’t attest to the weight differences.

    Hey mark was wondering if you have any thoughts on the family tree daily driver was choosing between that and the hometown hero and was wondering the differences

    • @marksollors
      @marksollors  11 місяців тому

      So Daily Driver gets you into the 3D snowboard world at a very mellow stage. Nose and Tail are beveled and kicked upwards for a more playful, buttery and (barely) additional float. It's on that freestyle scale where you can be in the park or all mountain. HTH is more directional with quite a bit of taper making it more freeride than freestyle. It's reference points put you pretty far back automatically but you can play with that position. HTH will be wider to the best of my knowledge as well. I would ask; How much switch riding do you do? Where you do spend most of your time (park, all mountain, freeriding etc) Are you looking for something more playful or carvey?

    love me a good gear chat! Question for you, when you are splitting do you use your puffer as a mid layer (ex burton baker) or final outer layer like a belay parka (ex. Burton expedition)? I’ve heard justifications for both scenarios.
    Also, is the malavita not a thing anymore?

    • @marksollors
      @marksollors  11 місяців тому +1

      It varies depending on conditions. I pretty much always have a Baker Ultralight on me or in my bag though. Malavita is still in the line to the best of my knowledge but I prefer the Smooth Glide buckles which are on the Cartel / Cartel X
