  • A nice handy load for Waterford with a puncture throwing in for good measure.

ffs you dont need a radio in that load of crap, sounds like a bag of nails, a morning driving that would be enough for me , be quieter driving a Standard Fordson Tractor, most probley get there quicker lol

In the UK, your breakdown van should be at the rear of the vehicle, not at the front! You're supposed to have the correct length of air-hose to stretch from the van to the furthest-away tyre on the stricken vehicle. Reason being, tyre service breakdown vehicles have a lot more hazard-warning illumination to alert approaching vehicles on your side than just a vehicle with his hazard warning indicators on. 😎

@@user-jg2nq6ll4c I'm sure he had a long enough air hose if he wanted to do that or needed to do that. A lot of the time in past experiences they do park behind. We where parked in the hard shoulder on the on ramp slip road out of harms way which is better than the main hard shoulder. But which is safer!?? He still had to work at the front end of the vehicle. I can't say what the exact rules are in this situation for tyre men/women. But you make a fair point. Thank you.

Well this is clearly in Ireland, ive often had tyre men parked at the front to fix a steer puncture...how is it safe to drag all his gear up from behind the trailer. The way they do things in the UK isn't always the best

@@jodyoneill134 I suppose some might say if the back of my truck was hit hard enough then he could be badly injured at the front between the unit and his van but smiliar could happen at the rear. But then the argument boils down to illumination of beacons and strobe lighting at the rear. In my case here, I was parked on the hard shoulder on the slip road itself, further in from the motorway traffic. So somewhat safer position you would hope. Either way never a nice place too breakdown on a motorway.

Quick question mate. Where did you get that light panel against the back of your cab? Looks sharp in the dark. Trying to get one myself but no idea what you call the thing or where to get it lol. Also, did you get someone else to install it for you, or did you do it yourself?

@@ambient3497 I got it from a friend of mine who had it. It wasn't working when I got it. So I got a new strip of led lights for it and refitted them. There on remote control and do loads of colours and sequences. The board itself is a sheet of perspex with the design inscribed on it and a black background. Yeah it is nice at night and the brightness is adjustable. It's powered from the USB socket on the back wall of cab.
