- I did a castor mod on the drift star using MST parts.
I had to do some shaving to fit the mst ht y-arms (pin holes had to be enlarged from 2.5mm to 3mm). The car drifts even better now. Less effort is needed to hold larger sweeps

I ordered all the mst parts from Hobbybest on ebay. The yokomo type c upper arms were ordered from banzai hobbies.

Hi, i'd like to know what are the bearing size in the MST hub, are they the same as the HSP ones?. and as for the shaving, just to be sure, you shave the gearbox mount? Thank you!
Yes the stock hsp bearings fit into that hub and yes I shaved the differential mount for the y-arm to fit.
I wanna ask you...can yokomo yd2 front arm fit on hsp...?

How did you manage to mount the Yokomo A Arm? Other than shaving the Diff mount to fit the Yokomo A ARM, what screw type\shaft did you use ti fit it?

asaad abdullah it's an mst y arm and the original hsp hinge pin is what I've used. I can't remember if i had to open the hole a bit to make the shaft fit though.
rjs323 thanks man. But i am asking about the upper A arm not the lower Y arm :)
asaad abdullah sry as you mentioned shave the diff mount. The upper a arm doesn't need any mod. It just screws into the shock tower.

rjs323 aha. I am sorry if i am asking too much, but what screw and shaft did you use? I saw many screws/shafts available in the market but not really sure which ones to use. I saw the other day screws from D-Like specially made for A-Arm. So if you can help us what screws did you use it would be much appreciated. 👍🏻
where can i find the caster peices what are they called? and are those just universal driveshafts? or some fancy ultra turn shafts? ive been wanting an upgrade like this for too long
Yes its the hsp universal driveshafts. All the pieces are MST. Its the mst ht y-arm, mst adjuster set and mst knuckle. All the parts are shown in the video so you can get the part numbers

Boots Yo Yes pretty cheap about 5 - 10 usd per part. You will also need a small spacer to fit inside the y-arm so you will maintain your track (width). At about 50 sec in the video I have a sort of exploded diagram I use something that came with my servo. similar to the metal bushing used on the stock knuckle. Check out the other video to see improvement. Caster makes it easier to drift and the steering is much smoother a more forgiving. I felt bad to begin rwd mod with the car after that lol. It was handling perfectly
Boots Yo Also you will need yokomo typ-c upper arms to increase stability. The stock upper arms aren't sturdy enough.
