Peter was such an influence to me and am so sorry to hear of his passing. Like another Pete(Seeger) his folk music and philopsophy will be there for years to come. ❤ R.I.P.
Peter Yarrow is a treasure ❤ I saw him in Easton, md. years ago. What an approachable fellow and humanitarian folksinger. But more than that, he was very important in making Woodstock, his mother's house Dylan went to escape NYC, the center for the Band and , of course, WOODSTOCK 1969❤❤❤
I miss you. We met via Holly, when you did the mini-gigs for your son. (giggles,,,) You assumed she and I were dating; after that, we became an item for a while. (My name was Yonatan then. Now it's Sharon. Might make some things make more sense.) Meeting you, Peter, was one of the most splendid weekends of my life. It was fun talking with Paul too. I'm hoping to cross your path again someday. Peace, sir. Thanks for this sing-along, too, and the memories from the '60s.
Peter, Paul and Mary came to Baltimore every year. We'd sit in the cheap seats under the stage lights. They looked so small on the stage and Mary's keeping time with her head and hair...she was always a few seconds before our timing and a little later the sound of the music. We did in fact think that Puff was about drugs and we could relate to that. 😆 After every concert a group of us would go to the stage side door . There Peter and Paul would teach us new 🎵 songs. We never met Mary. Once on a Saturday a worker took us back on the stage (day after the Beatles were there....with 4 opening acts...the Beatles were on for 20 minutes!) We were going to be called "The Villagers " and sleep on the sidewalk on Bleaker Street! We were going to meet Odetta, the Chad Mitchell trio, talk to James Baldwin, Dave van Ronk, and of course Bobby and Joan! I've since seen all of them. I still think the 60s as a wonderful time for music...a respite from Vietnam, the Civil Rights movement and the incredible assassinations...all in 1968, the year I graduated high school after having quit in order to be "cool. " But I did go back and finish because I thought that when I turned 26 I would wish I had. PP&M still get played a lot along with Chad Mitchell, Pete seeker, and Arlo Guthrie and Dave van Ronk 😊. At my old age I remember it mostly fondly , but tomorrow has it's own troubles so I pray and sing for these days. Many of our people have passed on and my time will come. I'm a catholic Christian now for 45+ years and I'll never leave...we have too many situations needing our prayers 🙏, including the Church and its heresies, and a nation divided 😢. Thank you for your musical prayers! ❤ !
Dear Peter Yarrow--- I don't know how to get this message to you other than to post here. Today is 1 July 2020. When you sang With Your Face To The Wind today, I was watching live on the East Coast. I have a friend across the country who has breast cancer and is having her 4th course of chemo tomorrow. I tagged her just before you started singing and unbelievably, she was on FB and watched the entire performance, both of us crying. Thank you for this moment we could share, separately, but together. It meant so much to us both.
Obrigado.
I loved this trio, especially Mary. I am so sorry she suffered her disease. It is disappointing that Mr. Yarrow takes this opportunity to get political, and that he and so many others are so blinded to the truth. May you live long enough to see it, sir.
Yes I know it’s three years later, but have you ever known Peter Yarrow NOT be political? He has shared his message of hope, love, peace and rights for all from the very first note he played so many years ago. Maybe you should listen to him more. You may learn something.
God has been the root of so much destruction and pain throughout the centuries. Perhaps someday mankind will come to the realization that all the positive qualities that were attributed to God for so long were part of every man and every woman all along.
“Day Is Done” is an astonishingly beautiful song! Thank you, Peter Yarrow!

He’s literally a convicted pedophile 😐
Thank you Peter, Paul and Mary for all that you have contributed to my life for more than 50 years now. Can't be any closer than you can imagine....
This is wonderful

What about the Don't laugh at me? PY, you're famous for that song too.
Everything goes wrong in the World because mankind has forgotten God. All started with the french revolution and the Reason Godess
