  • I Asked Tsonga About Playing The Big 4 #tennis
I recently had the pleasure of spending some time with French tennis legend, Jo Wilfried Tsonga at the AdiHouse in Paris.
Here are a few of the questions I asked him, including “Who of the big 4 was the toughest to play?

What a player. When he beat Rog from 2-0 has to go down in the top three upsets.

What a great way to interview someone by showing them some past video matches. Thanks for sharing Ashley!

Hi Ashley, I am in the midst of trying to find a new racquet and wanted your thoughts. My coach was telling me I should try for a thinner beam racquet. I use a volkl vcell 2 at the moment. I am currently trying out a Wilson blade 98 v8, Yonex Ezone 100, and recently tried out a Head Boom MP. I am looking for arm and wrist friendly racquet. But I am getting into competitive tennis and looking to improve further. I lean more towards control than just raw power, I enjoy going to the net and trying variety of shots. Do you have any racquets to recommend or of the 3 I mentioned which would you say is the best?

Nice interview. I still think that Novak was a bigger nightmare for him than Andy. In the early stages of his career, he lost the only GS final and later, from 2011, the vast majority of matches against Novak.

Andrew Murray shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as the other 3. Based purely on accomplishment in the game and sustained dominance he wasn't even close. Great competitor without a doubt but his accomplishments are marginally better than Wawrinkas

Ofc he can this is all recency bias especially his struggles after 2017 with his hip. Andy has a winning record by a good margin vs everyone of top players of his time except big3 and for a long time had winning record vs federer too.
Wawrinka is miles below andy in terms of every accomplishment except slams won. Slam finals, semis, masters titles, olympics, weeks at no.1,no.2 all make andy one of the alltime greats and would have been in the goat conversations if not the big3. same cant be said of wawrinka who was inconsistent
