OMG, I have been playing table tennis for over 20 years. Not active in any club or anything. Just for fun at school, home etc. I think I learned more from your videos than I did in theese 20 years. Five stars!
Defently woke my tabletennis "killer" instinct !! :))Tried this serve now in my home and cant wait to next tabletennis practise :D its realy much spin in it!!! :)) Thx,,,, (name of the song) :P and plzzz make more videos. their awsome :D
great vid dude. those tricky serves were pretty tight. Must be freakin hard to counter the one that bounces on the other side then comes back at an angle to yours.
holy jesus im a table tennis player, not very experiencied but those serves u did at 2:46 WERE REALLY GOOD. i dont think i could have hit it back without hitting net!!!
liked it. i would love it more if there is no background song. i would love to hear the sound of the ball bouncing in the table. hope i could learn all those serves someday. :)
Viszpi - thanks for the great demo, and the good editing you made on all your youtube video. Really make it more enjoyable. Quick question on the rubber - do you (or your club buddies) have any experience with Chinese rubbers? such as 729 series? They are cheaper than the Japanese/euro ones but I heard different reviews. Thanks!
Why not? Sriver is a spinny rubber, serves are good even with bryce altough it's sure made for looping (wich effects the other skilly of a rubber of course).
Excellent serves. I can't manage to get THAT much spin on my serves, how do you do it? Is it all in how fine you can contact the ball? What sort of rubber/sponge do you use? I use a very thin tacky rubber with a medium hard sponge (Cream Transcend).
@fabby949 Doesn't matter. There is no "best blade" there is only "a blade wich suits you and your style of play". And you have to play for a very long time with that, it's not suggested to change your equipment often. ('Ive been playing with Primorac Off- blade tenergy 05 on both side for about 2 years now...)
Very nice serves. only problem is you make contact very high above the net. Mabye they would be better if they were lower. Just something to think about.
So generally, it is not enough if you can serve good serves. The most important is that you vary in a way that cause the most trouble to your opponent, and of course it changes like every opponent is different ;).
Mark V is a good rubber. Generally I think a lot of rubber can't be compared to each other like wich one is "better". Each one is uniqe in a way, you have to try I find wich one suits most for your style, but don't vary too much, because you won't be able to play with any of it. Try a few than stick with one, of course there are always newer better rubbers coming out in time, but every rubber deserves at least a few months to play with it and get used to it to get the most out of it.
I've played the season with an Off- blade Tenergy 05 on both sides. Now the season ended, I'm testing one from the new generation "built-in speedglue effect" rubbers (donic baracuda, andro hexer, tibhar genius, joola explode, etc...)
BollTricarbon OFF+ Optimum MP Tenergy 05 Forte is a neutral good blade but it's speed is more like ALL+, then Off, rubbers ar good too, however bryce must be speed glued to work well as I heard it. So your racket is good All+ racket enough speed to atack, maintain good control fot blocking, it's suited for a control oriented all round offensive play mixed with well placed shots. With 3-4 layers off speed glue it's a different situation of course :).
@mrpawany if you dont throw it up the serve comes as a surprise and can be very hard to return thats also why you can no longer hide the ball during the serve
I'm currently playing with tenergy 05 on both sides with an OFF- blade. However the new generation rubbers from other companies seems quite promising...
It's about 15-25 serves, recently I've picked up 5-10 more serves :). Just keep practising and always learn new ones from other players at a club or at a competition. There is always more and your serves won't be perfect ever :).
I'm only put my hand on the table before the serve (i.e. like Maze), but after it I don't touch the table. However it's allowed to touch the table with your body i.e. when you step in at a short return. The thing is forbidden to touch the table surface with your other (non-playing) hand.
hey man. thanks a lot. great video. i'll be practicing. are you good with backhand highball smashing? many times it is too late or rather uncomfortable to ajust for a forhand smash. any ideas? thanks again
If you're a beginner then any normal rubber should do it for you... i.e. sriver EL or FX, mark V, etc.... and I would recommend about 1.7-1.9 mm sponge thickness
Don't measure it in years, if you have the proper basics (counterhit, loop, push, at least from FH side), I think any serve can be learned in a few month. About 1-2 thousands serve will make it mach ready. Of cource still some time will be needed learning how to use them in match situations, and become comfortable with them. GL
nice serve and much spin! but i think your serve will be a lot better, when you do the serve more flat... i think a good player flips this serve! (sorry for my bad english)
Hmmm, how about sriver, sriver L, tackifire special, or Tackiness D if you want to go more ALL+? IMHO for choping it's more depending on your blade than rubber, ie: all+ blade FH: bryce, tenergy, optimum MP, etc... BH: tackifire special, tackiness c, etc... Sometimes I chop too with my OFF+ carbon blade but just only for fun of course :).
wauu man thanks for the video!! what kind of racket have you got? I have an Energy 05 on drive, and a tackiness 2.3 on the reverse and doesn't catch from far this effect :|.. sorry 4 my bad englilsh man hahaha
@knpradeep77 Such rules come in only when you play against handycapped player in a wheelchair... In normal 1 vs 1 game you can serve anything anywhere... ( serve must bounce once and only once on your side, and at least 1 on the oponent's side, if more point goes to you)
you are mixing it with tennis :D. In tabletennis single play you're allowed to serve where ever you want and you can do it from any part of the table (middle, backhand or forehand side)
if it's a high ball there should be enough time to make it with the forehand. If not than it's not that high, but if it's still higher wait a bit longer and loop it with much spin, but with a safe hit, or take the ball immediatelly off the bounce and kill it over the table....
I commented on one of your videos before, I'm not sure if you remember me. But I've been getting more competitive, and got the motions for most of these serves down. But when I see pros at the club I play serve, their serves seem more adapt to competitive play. Should I get better rubbers and blades, and keep practicing, or is there a formula/style pro players have that I could use?
hey man thanks. do you have a practice paddle in addition to your competition one. i can't afford tennergy every 3 to 4 month. do you use cheaper rubber for practicing? cheers
Question. If you're using something like Sandpaper(or anything that's not HIGH quality) it will affect the type of shots you attempt to practice, right? Cause I got the form down pat, it's just the spin on the ball isn't near as good as videos I've seen, and definitely not as yours.
If u dont mind me asking, what rubbers and blade do you use exactly? And your thoughts on how your equipment would compare to mines (boll forte off(blade), bryce fx(fore), sriver L(back))? Cheers
how should I know what your're capable of? :) In generally I can tell you that, the german tensor rubbers (thibar, andro, donic, etc...) have elastic surface, they don't last long and generate less spin at serves.
@Winroz666 There is a 72 balls pack too ;) It's doesn't cost you much, less than a high quality rubber and it's enough at least about for a year of training, practising.
thanks for the 3 smileys :) :D ;) how many times do you glue a week? damn the ball looks like it stays on your paddle triple the time it stays on mine my paddle has two rubbers?? WTF??
OMG, I have been playing table tennis for over 20 years. Not active in any club or anything. Just for fun at school, home etc. I think I learned more from your videos than I did in theese 20 years. Five stars!
Working on serves is the most fun part of table tennis IMO...thanks for sharing dude!
just started to play table tennis, very helpful with different types of serve, theres a lot more to it than i thought!!! many thanks
Great spin on those serves, nice job. I watched your other videos, too, and they are helping my service practice. Thank you!
5*, very interesting. Especially the serve where the ball is jumping back to the other side again
really amazed me.
your video is awesome just because you time some of it up with the music...i have never been so pumped to play some table tennis
i don't know about the others but I undoubtedly loved your services
Thank for taking time posting it so people can
learn especially begginers
you are awesome!!! i need to learn those backspin serves they are so cool to watch!!!
simple serves, but werry good for those who need to learn the basic serves.
But great work on teaching how to do! :)
complimenti veramente il video piu utile ke abbia mai visto!Fenomenale!!!
very clean serve. ..awesome. . .! i really love this game. . .sir thanks for the demo, , ,i learned. . .
damn man you're really good, I won a big tournament thanks to this amazing tutorial
Cool that really helped me. That top spin was awesome.
Defently woke my tabletennis "killer" instinct !! :))Tried this serve now in my home and cant wait to next tabletennis practise :D its realy much spin in it!!! :)) Thx,,,, (name of the song) :P and plzzz make more videos. their awsome :D
great serves im still in training but people say im good for my age your vids have helped alot
I love the way he watches the ball as it spins back as if to say 'Oh You'.
Very nice effort in making this video, Well Done!
great vid dude. those tricky serves were pretty tight. Must be freakin hard to counter the one that bounces on the other side then comes back at an angle to yours.
thanks man. I'll keep watching your video until I get all your serve
Its a magic. where are you from. Excellent work.
Best Vid on serves on this site!! Thanks..and how about More ??
really nice! high back spin serve is amazin :)
holy jesus
im a table tennis player, not very experiencied but those serves u did at 2:46 WERE REALLY GOOD. i dont think i could have hit it back without hitting net!!!
I enjoy your training , going to implement it in my game. thanks
nice music-evanescence and nice serves!
You should make a serve coaching video. I would definitely buy it.
This is awesome.. seems to be the rubber also helping in the spin (correct me if i m wrong)... what's the rubber?? some antispin rubber??
some of your backspin serves is high but can be pretty efactive when it goes bach to the net easily
liked it. i would love it more if there is no background song. i would love to hear the sound of the ball bouncing in the table. hope i could learn all those serves someday. :)
this is sick!! very nice... best on youtube or even the world ;-)
OMG my favorite song with my favorite sport
Omg, too
Sriver is a good rubber, it can generate much spin ;). I'm not a coach but I think with practise everyone can learn much from the basics for sure.
I really need to sort out my serve. Ive just started a new job and ive been playing in my breaks and lunches.
They are fairly good rubber for the allround game, (block, push, loop, well placed balls, etc...)
this guy is awesome!!!! ima practice all of these
Nice serves, man! Great work.... I think I must train hard to do this! Isn't it? :)
Great stuff! I love it.
man those back spins are natsy but there my favourite trick i use them against my friends all the time its great they almost never return
Viszpi - thanks for the great demo, and the good editing you made on all your youtube video. Really make it more enjoyable.

Great video. I just wanted to know how much difference does racket rubber make for these serves. Ideally What would you suggest?
very good tape (I am a 2000 Level player and certified coach since 1978
Really nice but can you show the next videos in more slower motion and from closer distance ?? thanks
Very nice serves. only problem is you make contact very high above the net. Mabye they would be better if they were lower. Just something to think about.
good work love yr spin serves :)
that was really good taught me alot
So generally, it is not enough if you can serve good serves. The most important is that you vary in a way that cause the most trouble to your opponent, and of course it changes like every opponent is different ;).
The music does not fit for this video ! but the serves are great !!! 5 stars for this epic video!
!!!!!! SO PRO!!!!! whats the country u play in?
I've been playing for 4 years now...
to serve like this takes about a year with regularly practise ( about 200 serves 2-3 times a week)
Good serves, nice spin.
Still have to work with the height, very good job any way =)

@mrpawany if you dont throw it up the serve comes as a surprise and can be very hard to return thats also why you can no longer hide the ball during the serve
Cool !!!
how do i know if my rubber is suited for spins ?
I'm currently playing with tenergy 05 on both sides with an OFF- blade. However the new generation rubbers from other companies seems quite promising...

Hi, Are you play in top devision?
Your serve are great!!
muy buen servicio me gusto el corte al revez del oponente, pues porque tambien lleva algo de lateral
If you're a beginner then any normal rubber should do it for you... i.e. sriver EL or FX, mark V, etc.... and I would recommend about 1.7-1.9 mm sponge thickness
greats serves, especially the pendullum reverse at 2.40
Don't measure it in years, if you have the proper basics (counterhit, loop, push, at least from FH side), I think any serve can be learned in a few month. i've been playing table tennis since i was 5 years old at home and lately i been playing for about 2-3 hours a day
i really like your videos, why dont you make more ?
nice serve and much spin! but i think your serve will be a lot better, when you do the serve more flat... i think a good player flips this serve! (sorry for my bad english)
good serves but one thing is that you must keep your palm flat when you toss the serve otherwise it would be considered an illegal serve
Hmmm, how about sriver, sriver L, tackifire special, or Tackiness D if you want to go more ALL+?
IMHO for choping it's more depending on your blade than rubber, ie:
all+ blade
FH: bryce, tenergy, optimum MP, etc...

nice man,so skillful..but could i do that?i'm just having a ordinary sriver fx rubber(butterfly)
wauu man thanks for the video!! what kind of racket have you got? I have an Energy 05 on drive, and a tackiness 2.3 on the reverse and doesn't catch from far this effect :|.. sorry 4 my bad englilsh man hahaha
@knpradeep77

Can u make Tutorials for all of these serves
you are mixing it with tennis :D.
In tabletennis single play you're allowed to serve where ever you want and you can do it from any part of the table (middle, backhand or forehand side)
what material is the top of the table made from??. it seems that the effect on the ball is greater in this table compared to regular wooden tables...
This was awesome, i can only do the corkscrew serve without problems.
i like how you made the ball dissapear at 0:45. thats probably the best way to win when your opponent can't see the ball.
if it's a high ball there should be enough time to make it with the forehand. If not than it's not that high, but if it's still higher wait a bit longer and loop it with much spin, but with a safe hit, or take the ball immediatelly off the bounce and kill it over the table....
nice serves, very spinny, good placement.
but they are a bit easy to read.
but still: really good.
can u give me a tip for a good side -back spin serve?
I commented on one of your videos before, I'm not sure if you remember me. But I've been getting more competitive, and got the motions for most of these serves down. szia viszpi! nagyon klassz vagy. megtundnad mondani milyen utot hasznalsz?
maybe you must have a high friction rubber to generate some spin to create those serves... nice one... :D

hello, i have a dunlop excel ultimate... will i be able to do a ghost serve with it??? P.S ur amazin'
Nice song : "Wake me up and serve me." :)
thanks for the 3 smileys :) :D ;)
how many times do you glue a week?
damn the ball looks like it stays on your paddle triple the time it stays on mine
my paddle has two rubbers?? WTF??
often it just looks as if the serve is a side/backspin serve but there is just siedespin. Try simple counter hitting this will help very often...
yo man i beated the best in my school with these serves thanks man
