- Mamma Mia: The Movie, wins the inaugural award in the Musical category at the 2008 National Movie Awards held in London. Nicole Kidman presents the award to Björn Ulvaeus who accepts the award along with the trio of "Dynamo's" behind the stage show and movie.

Just a word to Benny and Bjorn I am from South Africa and grow up with ABBA music and always kept your music alive in my house, I am now 52yr and my little girl of 12yr are always singing ABBA songs. She watched mama mia over and over. Can't get enough of your music. Thank you so much for the music
Greetings from Moscow. I've been a huge fan of this phenomena called ABBA since I first saw and hear them play SOS on TV in 1977. But even more was I struck just a few days ago, listening to the two freshly-created songs. At the first cords I felt teas were welling in my eyes. After forty years they managed not to lose the magic and the power of ABBA spirit. To be honest, I left the hope for them to reunite ever. It' twice as more valuable to have these four geniuses back now, when the whole world is seriously sick. Thank you, ABBA! Your music makes people happy. Keep creating masterpieces. Love you.

ABBA will always be a score on my heart for forever even though I'm not from that generation...and Mamma Mia is just beyond words..I can't even express in words how much I love the movie nd the concept of turning their songs into a movie.
ABBA were my childhood group; spent my whole childhood playing, and singing their music, along with my Mums singing career, and it's so wonderful that they are as popular now as back then. Thanks for Mamma Mia too which has really kept them at the top.

1st time watching Mamma Mia was in 2008, in the plane bound to Europe for my 1st ever European Tour. Its a 6 hour flight from Toronto to England, I think watched Mamma Mia twice, amazing movie/musical. Still watching until now.
i grew up hearing ABBA's songs coz my mama loved sooo much! and what a great joy that it was made into a film starring my favorite actress of all time!!! i sooo loveeee meryl streep as donna sheridan! literally watched the film 100+ times!!!

And Nicole Kidman; I bet she wanted to tell Björn how she as a kid in March 1977 was waiting for ABBA to meet the fans at the Sydney Airport -and they walked out the back door -she mentioned this in an interview a couple of years ago :) -devastated, young Nicole had to go home without meeting her idols (let's hope she got to see them in Concert) :)

I love Bjorn…he is a inspiration to anything I would ever dream of…Benny is a artistic wonder with the piano…they provide energy and wonderful sound that I can’t stop listening too…but there is something else…I understand he has put forth the time and pain stacking tasks of creating and writing to make these magical masterpieces come true with no one but himself to acknowledge, but love hurts and Agentha and Frida are, in my mind, the reason he is standing there. Agentha loved Bjorn with everything she had…and I am sure they both had there moments, but she still adored him and thought he was her knight in shining army. We may never know the details of what exactly happened but I truly think he should of mentioned those beautiful people who sang his words to stardom. What really happened? Love ABBA so much it hurts they didn’t couldn’t work it out. Honestly, I think there was a generation of lost music from them.
