    Greetings dear viewer!
If you want to test out the enemy summoner spell tracker, you can download Porofessor for free from my affiliate link: link.overwolf.com/xpetu-poro
Personally, I think the jungle timers feature is just really nice. I would definitely use it to my advantage, since it is allowed by Riot.
This video has been in the making for the past two months and I certainly hope that the end result speaks for itself. The goal was to make a guide that would be relevant for multiple years. Thus, we refrained from discussing contemporary rune choices and itemization. These systems are constantly in flux, but champion mechanics tend to stay relatively constant (excluding reworks ofc). I hope all of you have had a nice start to the summer and wish you the best of luck in your endeavours!
    Best regards, Petu

@@michaelanderson5209 it depends, if the match is winnable (kayle, nasus) , you can abuse them with shenpo

This is probably the highest level of production to ever grace a guide to a League champion, and we'll probably never get to see something like it for other champions. Truly special.
You know, if you ever want to branch out to making content about other things you're passionate about, I'm pretty sure there's some of us who will keep following you. Not many, probably, but just know that some of us stay for the xPetu, not only the high quality Shen gaming.

I remember the time when I watched petu's river shen, which is the first video I watched in this channel, and the triggering factor for me to study the champion.
I was once an udyr main, but stopped playing ranked and spammed ARAM games due to my lack of self-control, and played at that manner for like 3-4yrs. But when I was interested in playing shen, I viewed petu's guides and tried to practice with it, and brought it into ranked once I got comfortable with shen.
I've reached masters last season on the philippines with shen. It was a great experience for me. But I stopped playing league now since becoming a science professor.
Still, these kinds of videos not only sparks my interest with shen, but also it kind of makes me rational with the steps, decision-making styles, and other core aspects of shen's kit that I can apply not only in-game (once I go back to playing), but also in real life.
Keep up the good work, and continue to inspire others, Legends!

Greeting dear Petu, glad to have you back! Your content is always incredibly insightful, and I believe your way of teaching is the most effective one, in terms of allowing the learner to perceive the thought process behind each decision. Shending Help has a very refined and deep game sense, but I think he sees the game in a completely different way than most other players, which makes it kinda hard for a lower elo player to think like he does. His efficiency is all about the strategic aspect of the game, and while that is very important (and winning is always nice), I think you also have a very refined fighting and carry mentality, which is why I love your way of playing Shen so much.
Playing like Shending Help is good for your LP gains, and every one should think like that some (most?) times, but Petu knows how to put up a good fight, and he knows how to have fun playing Shen. That's the main take away for me, from this video. I just got D1 for the first time, with Shen being my most played and highest winrate champ, and I owe a lot to your content and passion for allowing me to be better at the game, while also having a lot more fun while doing so.
Thank you both very much for this very insightful content!

I don't play much ranked, sticking to primarily Arams or bot games, cus I like my gaming experience to stay chill and light hearted, and I don't play Shen much but in this video you highlighted exactly how much of his damage output I have been missing from not understanding q placement, and the stacks it provides. The next time I pick him up in an aram, I stand a way better chance of bonking them, rather than just using him as a tank with cc and damage reduction.
You're my favourite league youtuber despite not using Shen often. Seeing you pull off things I'd never even consider, and hearing you laugh whether it goes excellently, or fails excellently is great. A lot of other league content people only seem to enjoy when their plays work out perfectly and the game is a stomp. It's nice to be reminded that the game can be enjoyed even when things don't work out quite as well as you'd hoped.
Loving the frequent video output lately ♡

I remember a game where I was matched against a Vayne top. Was not looking forward to it but was also willing to experiment and learn from the experience. So, in true xPetu memes fashion, I took ignite with Phase Rush and Nimbus Cloak. Needless to say, that Vayne did not expect the triple q auto, taunt, ignite and fell before getting over 10 cs. After the first kill, I played splendidly around the minion wave, slow pushing and building it up. The Vayne continued to underestimate the early minion damage and my well timed w's that would always deny at least 2 of Vayne's true damage dealing 3rd autos. It was the first time, I've tasted the power of early game Shen as I always had confidence problems, thinking I don't have enough damage to all in all the time and second guessing my abilities. That Vayne game really opened up my Shen and I'm not afraid to experiment different runes and builds on Shen. I would've felt sorry for that Vayne for the absolute beating I gave her but it's a Vayne top so there was no mercy lol.

Holy crap, Shen was reworked in 2016. Feels like it's still fresh O.o. Getting old is weird.

I can't explain how much do I love the videos you make. I started to play shen because of a friend back in season 8 but it was you who made me stick with this champ it was you who made me enjoy it and it was you the one who made all this year's playing some of the best.

I am a (low elo) shen otp, and by watching this video I feel like Shen is Microsoft Word. You think you know everything, but actually you only know like 10% of what you can actually do. Well maybe not 10% in this case but I found in this video many details I missed, or even some obvious things that I theoretically know but don't apply. Great Shen guide, and great title. Playing Shen is an art and too few people realize how deep Shen's gameplay is, and how far you can push the limits and the utility of the champion. Congrats !!

Listen to one hour of these soothing melodies of Shen wisdom and tactics of saving and destroying life on the rift, made concise and professionally structured and transitioned with a great ninja zen sens of humour based on mathematical efficiency, a spoiling luxury for any Shenobi aspirant at heart,

I learned SO MUCH from this, not just about Shen 😮 The second last clip where you split push top and then R on Vayne (although she dies), this is the play I always go for. Really opened my eyes how you explained why this play is too risky and potentially game-losing. In my mind, it's always: push side lanes = win games. But that's too one-dimensional and probably why I throw a lot of winnable games.

Thank you for making this. I’ve been a support main wanting to learn top for the longest time and Shen seemed to be the one for me, but when it came to playing him, I never understood why I couldn’t win certain things with him. I feel like this will help a lot with my Shen and my growth in the game overall!

Advice from a Top main, it's a really solid pick and gives u the ability to be everywhere in the map just existing in the match. Playing top means u are isolated from the game 80% of the time and is not so uncommon having a 0/20 botlane after 15 minutes, Shen is the solution at this problem. Tanks have always utility, they have a good scaling and the meta actually supports them, but Shen with his ultimate has the potential to win the other lane, u can totally chill in yours and overturn a fight in bot or mid, u can threaten a tower or an inhibitor while your team contest a drake or a baron. I picked him cause of the sense of futility that some games gave me before i started playing Shen, i played a lot of Mordekaiser and Sett and there are games when u can't win the lane and u are fighting to have a 10 minions lead while bot is 0/8 and u can't help, u feel totally useless, Shen doesn't have this problem. Of course being a tank gives him less carry potential but he does his job and has some good chunk of damage. Absolute ban if u don't know how to play around them Darius Mordekaiser and Illaoi, they keep u under tower with low hp and u can't ult or back or u will lose the tower. Simple game style, get as many Q drag as u can and play around passive, getting 3 or 4 shields in a 20 seconds fight will save your life. Obviously u will need time to master him but he is not a very skilled champ so it will not take a lot of time so don't be discouraged from the first losses and enjoy the climb

xPetu I have to admit you are extremely smart, first due to the hogh quality guide that covers shen in so much detail, even some creative plays, but also because you made such an awesome guide that is more likely to get views and get value out of your porofesor paid promotion. I love your style and you made me wanna play shen again.
