I don't think I would have noticed that it wasn't live commentary if you hadn't pointed it out, you commented so well on the funny moments, it felt like real time commentary, very well done!
For a solid 7 minutes and 30 seconds, I was thinking the whole time while watching this, - ("Wow, Petu is absolutely killing it with the live commentary and gameplay simultaneously.") - But then I listened in just then at 7:32 and realized you did a big-brain decision of doing voice-over commentary after the game, so then it made more sense. I love seeing you play Shen jungle. I have been playing Shen exclusively jungle for months now, so it's nice to get some insight on how higher elo players handle the role. Bonus: One of the techs I have picked up playing Shen jungle. When you have a Bami's cinder, use your W when the camps are low and start your recall early. This way, you will start recalling faster while your Bami's finishes the camp and the W prevents them from stopping your recall. This works especially well if you have passive because your shield will eat any hits from camps that outlive your W duration.
@novaseer I've tried it a lot. You technically don't but they have to be so low for them to be killed during your W duration that it ends up being faster to auto them and start your recall. Ashton also hit the nail on the head. It's an unreliable method.

This type of commentary is great! We get to actually hear the thought process behind the builds. For instance until now I've always thought you bought Ionian boots of lucidity because Shen is from Ionia.
I enjoyed this a lot. The commentary is very emitionaly engaged, eventhough it is post game. And it is also extremly dense and interesting. I watch league footage, for enjoyment and learning. This ticks both boxes 100%. Very nice

I decided to play Shen support/jungle this season. Last season I was Bronze 3 .. but NOW with the meme power of Shen I have made it into high Silver 2 and climbing. Same account. I may be losing more LP than gaining at losses.. but at least its fun and managed to climb (about 23 LP a win and lose 27-29 LP when defeat.. sucks). Thank you master xPetu.
I dont even play jg but the overlayed calm dialogue really makes a difference, Ive gotten better at the game just from watching a few of his videos, for example he spoke about how much information you can acutally get from the minimap like flashes and ect, I started noticing more information, really smart and calm player, great to learn from about every aspect of the game
Also love Broxah, one of the few somewhat positive high level streamers. Really cool to see a game where you guys interact, though it made me giggle at his saltiness toward the Eclipse buy. XD

I liked the commentary. Would sometimes forget it was added after. That made parts unexpectedly funny like 22:40 "Uhp. We canceled our recall. I don't remember making this decision." Imagining he was saying that out loud as he was playing.

I'd love an updated shen jungle video though as im sure there's been plenty of little changes, and you've tried a lot more item builds on shen as a whole since this video, so it'd be great to see your updated thoughts, I don't play shen but your logic and expertise in shen can easily be pivoted to other champions if one knows what does and doesn't apply, and when what applies to shen doesn't apply you can still search for what does for your preferred champion.
Damn, I just realized how good Petu is at articulating things during the early game. I've been playing Shen since 2012 and I've learned so much on Shen Jungle from this video alone. Keep up great work Petu, extra props for the nice intro too. Very well edited.

7:45 wait you're really good at this. Usually I can tell when people are commentating after the fact but I didn't know this time until you said it. I think it's because you speak in the same way as you do when you're playing live.
I’m a noob, so take this with a grain of salt, but I use the “toggle” option in the controls (I think gameplay options) when I click “target champions only” with my middle mouse button, it only attacks enemy champs, and when than I can turn it off when the fight is over. Or toggle it off and on during fights in lane or when trying to steal jungle mobs, so I always click the enemy even if they’re standing under drag or inside of their minions.
What is better in this situation? 21:43 Ult Fiora when she has been hit for that amount of HP or ult her at the beginning either to prevent dmg on her or force the enemy retreat from her?. Because something I´ve seen about Shen´s ult is that even it looks and feels awesome to save someone at the brink of death...they´re pretty conditioned after all. Because once the shield goes away they´re not really in such a good shape for keep skirmishing. And that sometimes ends up leaving me in a 2v1.

Never used to really like Shen at all until I started watching you. Now I play Shen almost every single time. Though I'd love to see you play more support Shen and see how your playstyle is like for that. I don't see enough Shen support
24:59 I think the mistake here is spending your tempo to recall for health. You heal by farming in jg, so checking enemy red is good, then go your (global) blue, to drag as they leave base. I think that play pays off the tempo and you show up fully healed and ready to fight as they come into you. But your way ended up in a game-winning team fight, so it works!
Ive been running hob, cheapshot, eyeball & ingenious with shieldbash and revitalise and it feels quite good (running titanic into sundered) might have to give this setup a go

you can actually see if the enemy jungler has done grubs by pressing tab there is a grubs icon which tells you if 1 or 2 grubs are done before the global reveal on the third.

You can see voidgrubs taken! The game doesn't show you the kill notices for them, but they show up on the scoreboard right after they are killed alongsode the dragons, barons etc.

If you press tab and look at the grubs icon, it actually shows if you or enemy has slain any before they do all 3 and it shows up on killfeed
Don't you need vision for it to show up there?
